In the General AI category, the NIFT 2025 cutoff ranks were released for multiple B.Des specialisations, including Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Fashion Communication and Fashion Design. Among all these specialisations, the most competitive was Fashion Design, with the lowest last-round closing rank of 90. For the same specialisation, the first round cutoff rank stood at 141.

NIFT Mumbai Cutoff 2025 for OBC Al Category

In the OBC category, the NIFT Mumbai B.Des cutoff 2025 was in the range of 502 and 2885, with Fashion Communication turned out to be the most competitive specialisation, followed by Accessory Design and Fashion Design. The first and last round of NIFT closing ranks for Accessory Design were 810 and 872, respectively, for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AII India quota. For Fashion Design, the first round cutoff rank was 602, which further increased to 1348. In the last round, the cutoff ranks increased, indicating vacant seats available for admission in the last round. Therefore, the cutoff ranks were more relaxed so that more students could get admission in the last round to fill the remaining seats.

For B.Des, the cutoff was released across multiple specialisations, wherein the most difficult for admission was Fashion Communication, due to its competitive rank. On the contrary, the easy-to-grab specialisations were Fashion Design, with NIFT's last round closing rank of (1487), followed by Textile Design (1899) and Accessory Design (3230). 
 
For M.Des, the NIFT first and last round closing ranks were 438 and 554, respectively. In the first round, the NIFT last round cutoff rank was 438 for MFM, and in the last round, the cutoff rank concluded at 506

NIFT Mumbai Cutoff 2025 for ST Al Category

NIFT Mumbai ST category cutoff 2025 was released for several Design courses. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for the students under the AI quota. As per the NIFT 2025 last round cutoff, B.FTech. in Apparel Production was the most competitive for admission at the undergraduate level. The NIFT first and last round closing ranks for the same course were 638 and 2100, respectively. Among the B.Des programme, the most and least competitive specialisations for admission were Fashion Communication and Knitwear Design, respectively.

NIFT Mumbai M.Des cutoff 2025 was 561 in the first round, which further dropped to 323 in the last round. The drop in the cutoff rank indicates that a limited number of seats are available during the last round. Hence, the competition has increased.

NIFT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for Design courses. The NIFTEE exam includes written exams. For the EWS category, the NIFT Mumbai B.FTech cutoff 2025 was 629 in the first round and 1798 in the last round. Likewise, for admission to the B.Des course, the NIFT cutoff ranks were in the range of 825 and 3619, with Fashion Design being the most challenging specialisation for admission, followed by Fashion Communication (949) and Accessory Design (1328). For the students belonging to the PWD category, the NIFT 2025 cutoff was only released for B.Des and B.FTech courses.
