NIFT Mumbai eligibility criteria does not specifies the minimum aggregate to apply for a course. However, aspirants must pass Class 12 to apply for UG and graduation for PG courses. Besides, candidates have to qualify NIFT Entrance Exam for admission to UG and PG courses. The application process is carried out via online mode. In case of the B. Des and B.FTech programmes, the candidates should be less than 24 years as on July 1 of the admission year. The first and last round of NIFT closing ranks for Accessory Design were 810 and 872, respectively, for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AII India quota. NIFT Mumbai Cutoff 2025 for EWS Al Category
NIFT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for Design courses. The NIFTEE exam includes written exams. For the EWS category, the NIFT Mumbai B.FTech cutoff 2025 was 629 in the first round and 1798 in the last round. The allocation of BDes seats at NIFT Mumbai is subject to rules of reservation set by the institute. As per NIFT's reservation policy, 22.5% of the seats are reserved for the admission of SC/ST category students to its BDes course. Out of which, 15% of seats are reserved for SC students and 7.5% are reserved for the admission of ST students.
NIFTEE 2026 is to be conducted on February 08, 2026. Written tests comprised a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates.
GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.
NIFT Mumbai Cutoff 2025 for PWD Al Category
For the students belonging to the PWD category, the NIFT 2025 cutoff was only released for B.Des and B.FTech courses. NIFT Mumbai admission was based on the candidates' performance in the NIFT entrance exam, followed by its counselling process. For B.Des admission, the NIFT last round closing ranks varied between 277 and 8191 for the students belonging to the PWD category.
