Inside Assam Engineering College.

Placements: From the seventh semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Over 50 reputed companies like Bajaj LG L&T Construction Gammon Tata NRL and ONGC visit the college each year offering various job opportunities. The highest package this year was 24 LPA in Chemical Engineering while the average package ranges from 10 to 12 LPA. More than 60 percent of students get placed through campus recruitment. Besides placements, many students secure internships with well-known companies, gaining valuable experience. Some students have also started their startups, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit nurtured at the college.

Infrastructure: The labs at the college are above average, meeting basic requirements but lacking advanced equipment. Some areas have free Wi-Fi, which is helpful for students. The library is quite good, with a wide variety of books available. Hostel rooms are comfortable, mostly double-sharing, and the bathrooms and toilets are clean. The mess offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, including chicken and fish, though the taste could be improved. The canteen serves good food and has a large dining area. During college week, almost all sports events take place on campus, encouraging active participation.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is above average, allowing fairly decent interaction between students and teachers. Most faculty members are calm, and approachable, and maintain a positive relationship with students. Their teaching is student-focused and easy to understand. The examinations, set by ASTU, are moderately difficult. While some students struggle to pass, many perform well. The course curriculum is mostly relevant, although a few conventional subjects are still included and could be updated to better match current industry needs.

AEC campus is green and it is surrounded by beautiful hills.

Placements: From the seventh semester, students get campus placements. More than 50 good companies including Bajaj, LG, L and T Construction, Gammon, Tata, NRL, ONGC, etc., visit the college and offer different jobs. The highest package this year is 24 LPA from chemical engineering. The average package ranges from 10- 12 LPA. The percentage of students who get placements is very good and it is more than 60%. Some of them established their own startups. Many students got internships from various reputed companies. However, I do not know the exact percentage of students who got internships.

Infrastructure: Labs are above average and not very advanced with basic requirements. Certain places have free Wi-Fi. The library is quite good. Different types of books are available here. Hostel rooms are good and double-sharing. Bathrooms and toilets are also clean. The mess food is not so tasty but it offers both veg and non-veg food. In non-veg, they offer chicken and fish. The canteen also provides good food and a huge dining room. Almost all sports are held in college week.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is very high. Most of the faculty members are very calm and good. The student-faculty member's relationship is very good. Their teaching is student-oriented and very understandable. The examination is moderate and the paper comes from ASTU. Many students cannot pass exams and many students score well. The course curriculum is relevant except for some aspects such as some conventional subjects are also added now.

Assam Engineering College review.

Placements: Assam Engineering College is the best engineering college in Assam. It has the highest placement rate among all the state engineering colleges in Assam. In 2022, the highest salary package offered was 18 lakhs per annum.

Infrastructure: Assam Engineering College has excellent infrastructure and facilities for students who are passionate about engineering. The college has all the necessary labs and equipment, and the hostel facilities are very good.

Faculty: The faculty members in Assam Engineering College are highly qualified and very friendly with the students. In Assam Engineering College, we have the best faculty members, especially the civil-dependent teachers, who are very helpful. Exams are conducted every semester.

Assam Engineering College.

Placements: The placement scenario of Assam Engineering College is above average. The highest package offered last year was 24 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Even branches like Civil Engineering here get up to an 18 LPA package, which is quite good. Capgemini, Vedanta, etc.

Infrastructure: Assam Engineering College, being the first engineering college of Northeast India, is quite old, so the infrastructure doesn't seem to be so advanced. However, the classrooms and hostels are comparatively good. The quality of food available here is good.

Faculty: The teaching quality of Assam Engineering College is very good. The professors are highly qualified. The course curriculum here is very relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester examinations are of moderate level. I don't know the pass percentage.

Excellent placement in 2022. Almost 100% with an average package of 7-8 LPA. Good faculty, etc.

Placements: Last year, around 60% of students were placed. Many other students took offline government jobs from the Civil and Mechanical departments. The highest salary last year went up to 24 LPA, with an average salary of 6 LPA. PSUs like ONGC, IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL do come for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good; it gives you old vintage vibes as it was built just after post-independence. Lab facilities are nice, especially in the Electrical, Civil, Computer, Electronics, and Chemical branches. To be honest, hostel life is the best at Assam Engineering College.

Faculty: Most faculty members are permanent here. Teaching capability is good. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough, and the pass percentage is 60% without a single back subject. Exams are conducted fairly, and there are mid-semester exams also in the middle of the semester.

Qualified faculty, good placements percentage and good infrastructure is available.

Placements: About 50 percent students get placed every year. The highest package offered was about 24 LPA and the lowest was about 5 LPA. Companies like BARC, NRL, BHEL, etc. visit here. Internship opportunities are provided under AICTE. Course related internships are also provided.

Infrastructure: Civil engineering department has 24 hours accessible Wi-Fi and library. The classrooms have a digital setup. The class capacity consists of about 120 students. Hostels are provided in the college having water and electricity supply. Mess is hygienic and the meals provided in the mess are good enough.

Faculty: All the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. They are well qualified. The interaction between the teachers and the students is good. The faculty to students ratio is about 1:20. The teachers are open to solving any doubt the students may have. Generally, 2 exams are conducted in each semester, that is, mid term and end semester examination.

Other: The exposure to the society of each department is good. Annual music and technical fest Pyrokinesis are conducted.

Pleased by the nature, good infrastructure, average placements, and highly qualified faculty.

Placements: About 50% students get placed in companies. The highest package offered is about 20 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top companies like ONGC, Oil India limited, NRL, etc. recruit students from our college. Internships are provided under AICTE. Along with this, course related internships are also provided like social internship, academic internship and industrial internship, which are done during 2nd, 3rd and 4th semesters respectively.

Infrastructure: 24 hours of Wi-Fi connection is provided in each and every department of the college. College library as well as the departmental library are available to access knowledge. The classrooms have a digital setup like digital board and projectors. Total 9 hostels are there in the college. Hostels are affordable with good quality food and regular meals of healthy diet being provided. Hostels have 24 hours of electricity and running water with Wi-Fi facility. Sports facilities are also there to focus on fitness. Gym facilities are also accessible by the students.

Faculty: Maximum faculty members are Ph.D. holders. They are well qualified and are practically more helpful. They have one on one interactions with the students. We are open to ask any doubts related to any issue arising. Our course is well designed to understand the role of an engineer and to be able to solve problems related to the society. Generally, two exams are conducted, that is, mid term and end semester examinations. The end semester exams' difficulty level is pretty high. But the teachers being too good in their subjects makes the number of students failing less.

Other: The civil engineering course is a society related branch. After studying this course a civil engineering student can solve problems related to the society. For this reason, I love this course and that's why I chose it. The campus has a lot of greenery. The famous Dipor Bil which is a Ramsar site is located near the campus.

Good college and friendly professors.

Placements: In my course, 10% of student are placed because there are not many companies hiring civil engineers, so placements in civil engineering are very poor. The highest package in my college is 15.2 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA and average is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies in my college include APL. About 30% of student got internships from my course, with companies like NPTEL.

Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi connection in our college and the Wi-Fi is fast. Labs are available and the classrooms are clean, with tables and benches. Projectors are also available, and there is a library. Classroom are big, accommodating 100 students easily.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, Ph.D. graduates and so smart and they have so much experience in teaching and are highly knowledgeable. The curriculum relevant. Our course includes field visit every year. The semester exam are very difficult in our college. The pass percentage in my course is 70%.

Other: It is a good course so I chose this.
