I am dissatisfied because of bad placements in 2021.
Placements: Approximately 50-60% of the students got placed from the 2021 batch. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.15 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Deloitte, HP, Persistent, Ubisoft, Zensar, Vodafone, Capgemini, Cognizant, Barclays, etc. Top roles offered to the students are senior software developer, business analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility for students, but labs and classrooms are good. In the hostel, everything is good, but I think Wi-Fi is mandatory for everyone as we can learn a lot from it. Food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is also good, and our college provides training so that students can become ready to face the industry.

Our college provides good placements and infrastructure.
Placements: There are 120 students in our branch, and all the places are filled. Many top companies such as Infosys, Persistent, TCS, and Wipro visit the campus for recruitment. The placement ratio is good for the computer branch but for ENtC it is quite less. Many internship offers are started from 2nd year itself.
Infrastructure: There are five hostels in our college. All the hostel facilities are good. Canteens are available on campus. But the quality of the food served is not that good. A medical hospital is there for our college. There are huge facilities for sports. Many courts are available. There is a sports team for our college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are awesome and well-experienced with more than 15 years. The teaching is also good. They provide us with knowledge other than academics. The teaching is also good. The course curriculum is good, but it does not make students industry-ready completely. It depends on us.
Other: It is a good campus, and we can go anywhere at any time. Extracurricular activities are also held. Fests are organised every year and participation is a must. There are ample of competitions and competitors from various colleges.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: Placements are average in our college, but most of the time, they won't support students in placement. I got an internship and placement at Vodafone Idea Limited for three months, so because of that, I am not able to go to college, but my name is on the defaulter list. This is the negative point of our college. One of our placement coordinators is the only person who is supportive of our placements. She is very good.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. Students thought that the food was good, but they were not able to eat. There is support for medical issues. There are no sports and games. There is no lab in our college. Wi-Fi is available in our hostel. PGs are better than the hostel. The hostel security is good.
Faculty: The teaching quality in our college is average. Only one or two teachers are helpful. But all teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Our college does not make students industry-ready. Our college is average. If students want a good college, then they have to study more for CET of JEE instead. Take admission in PICT or COEP.
Other: Teachers should behave like human beings with students. This is the most needed improvement. The campus surroundings are nice. Scholarships are available. Extracurricular activities are good in our college. Events and fests are very nicely celebrated in our college.

Absolutely satisfied with college facilities, infrastructure, placement and hostel facility provided
Placements: Placement this year was far better and most of the students got placed from campus placement itself. Almost 60 %of students have been placed. Companies which visited were IBM, Amazon, Vodafone, Wipro, Infosys, TCS. College does't provide us internship as it isn't autonomous.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is too good. Classrooms are big with projectors in each class to provide an actual view for each topic. Wi-Fi facilities, labs, library, and canteen are better. Hostel rooms are good and comfortable. Food provided is good. Outside the hostel there is a big open space full of greenery and a big playground of Bharati Vidyapeeth.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good with practical experience with each topic. Cource and syllabus are completely dependent upon the pattern of Pune University. All the teachers have more than 10 and some of them with even 20 years of teaching experience.
Other: Every year we have college fest in which students from different colleges gather to take part. We have various technical and non technical events conducted in which many students take part from college as well as outsiders. We have many Extracurricular activities such as the release of college magazine, Sports week, technical week, non technical week and a college fest with huge crowd.

I loved my college. I got every kind of exposure here. The teachers were very supportive.
Placements: The placements are depended on you. The minimum requirements of every company are 60% aggregate. If you have that then the chance of getting placement ratio is 80%, or else it comes down to 40 to 50%. Our college has contacts with many companies. Last year the highest package given was to 6.5 lacs annum, and the average package is 3.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average. They provide everything that a student needs. The Wi-Fi is not available for the students but all time NET connection is there for PCs students can access it anytime. We have a separate library, and every kind of book is available there. We have a canteen and a playground also. The college hostel provides room for 3 people including bills and food.
Faculty: The teachers do a lot of hard work for students. Weekly assessment of every student is there. We have our google group, and everything is shared there. They help us out in every manner. They are very polite and caring. Then we have our class tests and mock practical before we face our main exams.
Other: Our fest is of national level. The students from everywhere participate in our Hishob fest. Then we have our sports week. There is NSS in our college which I can say it is a golden opportunity for the students.

A:

Both COEP Tech and Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering for Women (BVCOE) offer strong placement records for their B.Tech graduates. However, COEP Tech generally has a slightly higher placement rate and attracts a more prestigious set of recruiters.

In 2023, COEP Tech placed 98% of its B.Tech graduates, while BVCOE placed 92% of its graduates. COEP Tech also attracts a wider range of recruiters, including top multinational corporations and technology companies.

Here is a table comparing the placement records of COEP Tech and BVCOE:

CollegePlacement Rate (2023)Type of Recruiters
COEP Tech98%Top multinational corporations, technology companies, startups
BVCOE92%Reputable companies from various industries, including IT, manufacturing, telecommunications, and consulting

It is important to note that placement rates can vary from year to year, and individual student outcomes may differ. However, overall, COEP Tech has a stronger placement record than BVCOE.

Here are some factors that contribute to COEP Tech's strong placement record:

  • Prestigious Reputation: COEP Tech is a highly regarded engineering institution with a long history of academic excellence. This reputation attracts top-tier recruiters who seek out COEP Tech graduates.

Q:   What is the selection process for B Tech and what is the minimum JEE Mains percentile required?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Aspiring engineers seeking admission to the prestigious B.Tech programs at Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering for Women (BVCOE) and COEP Tech must undergo a rigorous selection process that assesses their academic aptitude, technical skills, and overall potential. Understanding the selection criteria and minimum JEE Mains percentile requirements is crucial for a successful application.

Selection Process at BVCOE and COEP Tech

The selection process for B.Tech programs at BVCOE and COEP Tech follows a structured approach:

  1. Eligibility Check: Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria, including academic qualifications and entrance exam scores. For B.Tech, candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (12th standard) with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Additionally, they must have appeared for either the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.

During counseling, candidates interact with faculty members and representatives from various departments to gain insights into the programs and make informed decisions.

  4. Final Selection: Based on their overall performance in the counseling process, candidates are selected for admission to the B.Tech program. The final selection considers factors such as academic excellence, technical aptitude, communication skills, and overall suitability for the program.

  • Computer Science and Engineering: 99+ percentile

  • Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: 98+ percentile

  • Information Technology: 95+ percentile

  • Mechanical Engineering: 92+ percentile

  • Civil Engineering: 90+ percentile

Preparing for the Selection Process

To increase their chances of success in the selection process, aspiring B.Tech candidates should focus on:

  1. Strong Academic Performance: Maintain a strong academic record throughout high school, particularly in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

  2. JEE Mains Preparation: Dedicate ample time to preparing for the JEE Mains entrance exam, focusing on understanding concepts, practicing problems, and taking mock tests.

  3. Soft Skills Development: Enhance soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are crucial for success in the counseling session and beyond.

  4. Research and Understanding: Research the B.Tech programs at BVCOE and COEP Tech, understand the curriculum, specializations, and faculty expertise to make an informed decision.
