A Review for the better future.
Placements: Placements in our college is very good. Almost 100% students get placed out of those who are willing to take placements and the highest package offered last year in 2023 was 45 LPA by Amazon in our electronics branch. The average package offered is about 4-5 LPA. There are many companies like Honda, Adani, E infochips, TCS, Alstom and many others visiting for recruitments.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so good with all the labs having well-equipped instruments for electronics. Wi-Fi and library are also very well established. All the books and journals are free of cost for the students and are well organized. Hostel inside the college is also very well-equipped with amenities like AC, food, engineering machines and others.
Faculty: Faculty of our department is also very helpful and supportive, they know how to teach the students. Course curriculum is insightful, it gives knowledge from basic to advanced studies like basic electronics, VLSI, Embedded and makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are not that difficult but you need to be attentive in the lectures. The passing percentage is 33% i.e. 21/60.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in both hardware and software sectors especially in VLSI electronics based domain as the future of this course is evergreen. Semiconductor is growing tremendous year by year. Events in our college are a blast. It was a very good experience for me.

College for excellence and ingenuity.
Placements: Placement percentage varies depending on the situation, like cutoff marks, and based on that, it goes up to around 80–90%. The highest package I have seen is around 9 lacs in merchant navy. The role offered in our college is navy officer, which is the biggest, I guess, because it serves the nation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, of course, is very good; it has the following facilities: Laboratory: It is very important for electronics students to have such well-equipped labs. Computer labs have access to good software and circuit stimulation. Lectures and halls: a modern classroom with audio-video aids for a better experience.
Faculty: The curriculum is regularly updated to align with industry trends and demands. We also partner with industry to arrange guest lectures, industry visits for real-world insights, and network opportunities. The examination is quite tough as it is not only theory-based but also about real-world practical aspects.

Electronics Engineering course at BVM.
Placements: The college has very low placements. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA, but most of the students got placed with a salary package at or below 4 LPA. Due to very low placements, most of the students have to opt for higher studies or off-campus placements. Companies hired from BVM are TCS, eInfochips, Matrix Comsec, Volansys, Motadata, etc. Most of these hire for IT jobs from the EC branch. It is hard to get a core electronics job in the Embedded or VLSI field with a decent salary package from this college. Around 40-50% of students got internships or placements from on-campus drives.
Infrastructure: As the college was established in 1948, the buildings are old but renovated. The campus is not so big but it is clean and green. I found it beautiful too. Classrooms and library were very good in terms of learning. Wi-Fi was poor, which required improvements during our course. College was nice in terms of infrastructure, but girls' hostels were hilarious. Girls hostels had very poor management.
Faculty: Faculty members were good and approachable, but some exceptions were there. The course curriculum was a bit outdated at my time. They should include some industry-oriented courses like Verilog, system verilog, chip design flow, UVM, etc. They have a facility of choosing one or two elective courses from off branches every semester. Students who want to get a career in IT can take courses from the IT department. Exams were moderate in level. Every semester had 2 mid-semester and one final examination.
Other: The main reason to chose this course was its demand and fee. My course at BVM was Grant In Aided (GIA), which means there were very less fees around Rs. 3,000-4,000 per year. As the semiconductor market is going to boost very soon, VLSI jobs will increase.

Placements: Students who score 7 CGPA are eligible for placements. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, L&T, eInfochips, Mahindra, Matrix, Bacancy, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Our college building is old. There is a garden on our campus. Sports are conducted in this college. There is a decent library on our campus. ATM machines are also available. Canteen is decent. It has a namo Wi-Fi facility and provides a 5G network. Smart board and projector are available in our classroom.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. scholars. Faculty members are very humble and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. They teach through PPT and books. This college is affiliated with GTU. Two exams are conducted every semester.

Placements: Students who score 75% of marks are eligible for recruitment. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Reliance, etc. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA. We have to score a 6.5 CGPA for internships.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available in this college. There is a common area in this college. Three students can accommodate easily in each hostel room. Washrooms are very good. Electricity facility is available 24X7. Classrooms are bright. Tables and chairs are available in our classrooms. Drinking water facility is available. Hostel is decent.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified. Few of them are Ph.D. scholars. It is an autonomous institution. Semester exams are moderate. The pass criterion is 6.5 CGPA.
Other: We can learn many things in this course. Many hackathons are conducted in our college.
