BMSCE admissions are entirely based on the rank and scores achieved by candidates in the entrance examinations. To get a seat in any of the programmes offered at BMS College of Engineering, candidates must appear for an entrance exam followed by the counselling round conducted by the competent authority. Candidates should appear for either KCET/ COMEDK/ Karnataka PGCET/ GATE/ KMAT/ CMAT or MAT depending upon the programme for which candidates wish to apply for BMS College of Engineering admission.

BMS College of Engineering admissions are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programmes offered at BMS College of Engineering must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BE programme must appear for either KCET or COMEDK and admission to the MTech programme at BMSCE is made through GATE or Karnataka PGCET. At the undergraduate level, the college offers three to four-year BE courses. The four-year BE is provided in 18 specialisations such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and others. At the postgraduate level, BMS College of Engineering offers two-year full-time MTech courses to students in 11 specialisations, two-year MBA, and MCA courses to students.
