NIT Jalandhar Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Selection, Application

NIT Jalandhar admits students on the basis of merit in both UG and PG programmes. The merit lists are notified in reference to JEE main scores and GATE score for UG and PG resoectively. Students cannot get direct admission into the college. They must clear JEE main/GATE exam in accordance with the selection criteria of their preferred course. applicants must also register and attend the JoSAA/CCMT counselling process before seat allocation by the institution.

Candidates seeking admission in NIT Jalandhar must qualify JEE Main for UG and CCMT for PG. Candidates must check the eligibility requirements for their preferred course before applying. Hereafter, candidates must register for the JoSAA/CCMT counselling process for UG/PG respectively. Subsequently, the college allocates seats on merit basis with reference to JEE Main/ GATE scores and candidate's preferneces recorded during the counselling process.

NIT Jalandhar admits students to its UG and PG programmes on merit basis. The college accepts JEE Main scores for UG programmes and GATE scores for PG programmes. Candidates must ensure that they are eligible for the preferred courseby checking the minimum eligibility requirements.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate to apply for UG courses at NIT Jalandhar. Aspirants have to complete their UG degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate to apply for PG courses.

The admission process for PG programme at NIT Jalandhar is merit based, with the college accepting GATE scores for the same. Candidates must check if they are eligible for the PG programme at the college and additionally must also register for the CCMT counselling process. After, attendiong the counselling session, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit with reference to their respective GATE scores.

The minimum eligibility for BTech admission at NIT Jalandhar is passing Class 12 with atleast 50% aggregate. Hence, with 60% in Class 12, the candidate is eligible for applying for admission in BTech at NIT Jalandhar. The selection criteria for the same is JEE Main and JoSAA counselling. Hence, the candidate must aslo clear JEE Main and Register and attend JoSAA counselling to be allotted a seat at the college for BTech on merit basis.

CCMT Counselling registration process is conducted in an online mode. Candidates have to register for the counselling process by filling their name and GATE related details such as year of exam, registration ID, exam paper and score to generate the login details. 1. After registration, candidates need to log in to the official website and enter their details such as parent’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, academic qualification, bank account information and others.
2. Candidates will also be required to upload a scanned copy of the GATE scorecard. The format of the scorecard should be GIF/PNG/JPG/JPEG/BMP and the size should be between 50 KB to 200 KB.
3. Before the CCMT registrations, candidates must generate passwords. Submission of the application form will be done after all submitted details are reviewed. After the completion of registration, a unique registration number will be generated.'
4. Candidates have to pay the required registration fee through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan at any branch of SBI).

Step 6 - Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates have to select their choice of colleges and courses during the allotted time. Change, re-order and deletion of choices could be done within the choice-filling period. Candidates must fill the choice in the order of their preference. Editing of selected choices cannot be done after locking. A printout of the filled choices must be taken for future reference.

Admission to all NIT Jalandhar courses (UG, PG, integrated, Diploma and others) is entirely entrance-based. For NIT Jalandhar admission, students need valid scores in the respective entrance exams. For admission to courses such as BTech, MTech, and MSc. Aspirants need to complete the application procedure of the accepted national-level exam. Find below some details on the exams application procedure:

• For BTech, students need to complete JEE Main application procedure by visiting the NTA website.
• For MTech, candidates are required to register for GATE through the official website of the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
• For MSc apply to IIT JAM through the official website of the respective conducting body.

The tuition fee for the MBA course at NIT Jalandhar is INR 1.4 lakh, which is payable in installments throughout the two-year period. Besides, students also need to account for accommodation (INR 1.1 lakh) and other compulsory fees (INR 78,000).

NIT Jalandhar MTech fee ranges between INR 1.4 lakh - INR 2.3 lakh as per the official sources. This fee contains the tuition fees for both the years of the course, including hostel fees and security deposit. 

Candidates can get admission at NIT Jalandhar with a rank of 50,000 in JEE Main. The Round-3 cutoff has been released for candidates belonging to the All India and Home State quota. The closing ranks varied between 10232 and 50828 among the General AI category candidates. Hence, getting admission at 50,000 is possible for General AI category candidates. 

The closing ranks varied between 15902 and 82761 for candidates belonging to the General Home State category. Therefore, it is possible to get admission to the college at 50000 rank, for General Home State category.

NIT Jalandhar cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to the BTech course, based on JEE Main scores. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India and Home State quotas. Among the General All India quota, the closing ranks varied between 10232 and 50828. Therefore, candidates belonging to the General AI quota must have a rank of 50828 or below.

For candidates belonging to the OBC AI category candidates, the closing ranks varied between 3751 and 15164. Therefore, it is possible to get admission to the college for the OBC AI category, if the candidate has attained a rank of 15164 or lesser.
