Satisfied with the college. Above-average placements and really good seniors as well.

Placements: Placement of Mechanical engineering department is 100% this year the highest Package 18 LPA and the lowest one 5 LPA 20-30% students got internship this year. Most of students got placement by PPO and internships. I don't remember correctly the names of top recruiting companies.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, two libraries, and classrooms are available inside the campus, with 24-hour access to one of the libraries. Facilities of hostels are good. Medical facilities are excellent. Sports facilities are also excellent in hostels as well as in the sports complex.

Faculty: Some teachers are excellent. Some are average as well in terms of explanation. In terms of knowledge, they are good too. Yes, some courses are relevant, but some seem to be irrelevant as well. Semester exams are difficult in this college. You need to give time to studies to gain good marks. The pass percentage differs from subject to subject. Overall, 80-90% of students pass (given they don't get detained).

Other: Events and fests are good as well. Scholarship facilities are also there. Good sporting events are held there.

NIT Jalandhar : A detailed review.

Placements: In the department of mechanical engineering, there has been 100% placement over last two to three years. The highest package offered was 18 LPA from BPCL and there are many companies which offer good packages to students, like Maruti, which offered 14 LPA to 14 students and there are companies like Oceaneering, Reliance, Maruti, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai, Decathlon, etc.

Infrastructure: NIT Jalandhar is far ahead of many colleges in terms of infrastructure; the labs are all equipped with all the required machinery; new hostels are being made; recently, a new girls hostel was inaugurated and a new library was inaugurated; and the quality of the mess food is better than many national colleges in India.

Faculty: The faculty in the mechanical engineering department is quite good and very knowledgeable and experienced. Some of the teachers have around 27 years of teaching experience but they are also very strict. The course curriculum is hard and the attendance policy is followed very strictly. We have to maintain a minimum 75% attendance.

Other: I chose this course because I am a local student from Punjab but I was quite impressed with college. I did not have too much hope when I first entered college, but NIT Jalandhar did not disappoint me. Campus life is good; there is a lush green campus and all the facilities are available within the campus.
