It has good infrastructure, well-qualified faculty members, and average placements.
Placements: Our 7th semester is completed, but only 50% of students got placed. The average salary package offered is more than 15 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 53 LPA by Google on-campus. The lowest minimum salary package offered is 3 LPA. An internship is not offered in our course. In our course, the top role is offered by NXP at a salary package of 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities are above average, and the infrastructure is growing well. The Wi-Fi facility is good. It has good classrooms, and the library is good. Mess food is average. It also provides other facilities like washing machines, corridor cleaning, etc. A canteen is there. There is a medical facility.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is average. Case topics are old instead of trending topics, so I cannot say whether it makes the students industry-ready or not. Students have to prepare on their own to become industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. The pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: I did not choose this course, and I got this course from my JEE Main ranking.

Faculty teaching is above average but strict in exams. Placements are improving.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 51 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top companies include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Qualcomm, and Trident for textile students. From our course, around 50% of students get internships, and others get direct placements in their 4th year respectively. Roles offered are tech & code experts in various fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is awesome. Wi-Fi is available 24/7. Labs are well-maintained. Classrooms are well-structured and have enough capacity. They are beautiful. The library is sufficient to carry a large number of students. There are libraries. One is old, and the other is new. The mess of food varies as the day passes. It provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The canteen facility is very good. Medical facilities are available up to 9 PM. There are 2 sports grounds, a basketball court, a gym, and all games.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and well-knowledgeable. Some are involved in NASA, DRDO, and other national projects. The teaching quality is above average. The curriculum is 80% relevant. Students usually get industry-ready by their own hard work and not by classrooms. The pass percentage is 40% but teachers are strict. I don't know why they don't let students pass easily.
Other: I chose this course because of placements, but after joining the college, I realized that it was not a good decision. I don't care much about my course now, I just want to pass it and complete my degree by hook or crook. Events, fests, the campus crowd, campus surroundings, and all other things are good and more than sufficient. You enjoy a lot here.

Satisfied with the college placements, good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements of NIT Jalandhar are on par with other NITs. In 2024, Google hired some students on campus, which I believe is a big achievement. Another positive aspect is the placement policy, which allows a person to secure two offers, especially during this recession period.
Infrastructure: We have a new digital library equipped with the latest PCs and fully air-conditioned. Classrooms are adequate. The Mega Boys Hostels were recently painted, have Wi-Fi, and are well-maintained. The mess food is decent. The institute also has a dispensary for medical issues.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are helpful and well-qualified. The teaching quality is decent, and I find the course curriculum well-designed, with timely amendments. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If you study consistently, they are manageable.

NIT Jalandhar review, helpful for students .
Placements: Actually, my branch is ECE, and ECE is one of the best branch in NIT Jalandhar. So, from a placement point of view, this branch is best in the college because many students placed in core company like Intel, as well as most of the students placed in top MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are very good; classroom and library are best for students. Many students go to the library to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, etc. Our hostel facility also has good 24/7 Wi-Fi available, which helps us prepare in healthy environment.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and well-educated. Some teachers teach us very passionately. And deliver the best content but one drawback is also in the faculty: some teachers have good knowledge but don't know how to deliver it, so it sometimes feels monotonous. Basically, the work of our ECE department is very difficult as compared to other branches .
Other: Actually, my interest in electronic gadgets and computers is always there, so I chose ECE. Actually, some courses are very old and need to be changed. Our college fest is the best I have ever found. Utkansh is the most popular fest at our college. Some students get scholarships if their family income is less than 2 lacs.

NIT Jalandhar: A mix of strengths and weaknesses.
Placements: The placements at NITJ were strong until last year, i.e., for the 2023 passouts. However, this year, in 2024, due to a recession, there has been a decline in placements. Notably, prominent tech companies like Microsoft and Amazon didn't visit this year. The number of students placed this year is remarkably lower compared to the previous years.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure isn't top-notch. Until the 3rd year, every boy has to share a hostel room. In the final year, some students can have single sharing rooms, but not everyone gets this opportunity. We have old hostels for the final year, and for the 2nd and 3rd years, we have new hostels, but their quality isn't very high.
Faculty: The faculty maintains strictness in our college. They don't readily award marks in the end semester, and there's rigorous evaluation, making it challenging for students to develop new skills. Balancing semester exams with other skills like coding becomes necessary.

Dissatisfied by placements and college fests .
Placements: As the placement season of 2024 is currently ongoing in the month of January, only 50 percent of students are placed, and companies are mainly coming for diversity hiring. The highest package offered is 55 LPA by Microsoft, and the lowest offered is 6.5 LPA. Top roles offered are software engineer, application engineer in VLSI, and artificial intelligence and machine learning engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is average, not more than 10 Mbps. Classrooms are good, and the library is open until 9 pm with all books available. Wi-Fi speed is good in mega hostels but not in small hostels. Mess food is okay to eat, and medical insurance up to 1 Lakh is provided.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable; they conduct all classes, and a 75 percent attendance criterion is mandatory. Teaching quality is up to the mark. The course curriculum has changed this year according to industry standards, introducing more subjects like 5G communication in the curriculum. The VLSI branch is also introduced. The pass percentage requires scoring at least 40 percent marks, and you have to work really hard if you want your GPA above 8.
Other: The course has very good career opportunities, and the course curriculum is interesting. Fests are not that good in the college, and you will not be able to enjoy city life as the campus is outside the city.

About NIT Jalandhar Punjab.
Placements: The placement office (TPO) doesn't do any work at our college. Students need to call the companies for the placement and students need to convince them that even tea and coffee are served by students. The worst part is that TPO doesn't even have a face in our college. Placements are decent.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good All the classes and labs have central air conditioning and are well maintained. Hostels are also good. For the 1st year, it is 4 and 5 sharing for the 2nd and 3rd years, double sharing and for the final year, students single room. Some hostels have 5G connectivity, whereas others have LAN facilities in every room, which have a lesser speed compared to 5G.
Faculty: Faculty's won't put you under any pressure. Some teach very well, whereas others teach only for marks. You only get the subject if you are interested in it. Everyone here studies one day before the test and a smaller number of research-oriented teachers do not motivate students on that side.

ECE review of NIT Jalandhar.
Placements: Nice placements with satisfactory packages. The college is very good and offer good placements especially in circuital branches. Every time our average package is greater than 12 LPA. About 90 % students placed in it sector where big mnc like microsoft, google, oracle come here take our students for placements. Most recruiting companies for ECE branch are microsoft, adobe, dellitte, google, oracle, goldmansachs. Our branch is cosdiered as second to the top after computer Science and engineering. In 2022 theplacement percentage is 89%, in 2023 placement percentage is 90%. Many students got internship before third yer only. Many internship oppuritinites are available for ECE branch. Placement of NIT Jalandhar is good and I promise you will love here if you are in circuital branches like electrical, electronics and instrumentation and control engineering. The placement of non circuital branches are very poor. I recommend you take here admission only circuital branches beacuse my friends those were there in civil, textile, biotechnology, mechanical, chemical often they realise that they had come here and no placement options are there for them. Most of the it companies did not allow them and very few core companies come here for core branches.
Infrastructure: Our college has excellent facilities, all labs are having AC, water cooler and sufficient machines. However the conditions of textile, mechanical, civil, chemical and biotechnology is worse. There infrstrucre is not upto that level. The college has 10 hostels for boys and hostels for girls. 5 mega boys hostels and two mega girls hostel and o\remaining hostels are three storey buildings. Many construction is taking place in our college. New gym is also going to be constrcuted and will operation soon.
Faculty: Here three exams take place in a semester minor 1 minor 2 end semester examination. The minor 1 and minor 2 are consist of 20 marks each and end semester examination having 5 marks and 10 marks are there for internal examination/ quizzes/ assignment. You can't score wwll in end semseter exam but you can score will in minor and internal examination. Please keep in mind that CGPA plays vital role in placement atleast keep yor CGPA above then 7 for safe CGPA.
Other: Campus is very less croded, all area are clean and so much happiness is seen among students. So much greenery and very lush beautiful garden is there. Two fest utkansh and techniti take place in our college.
