NIT Jalandhar admits students on the basis of merit in both UG and PG programmes. The merit lists are notified in reference to JEE main scores and GATE score for UG and PG resoectively. Students cannot get direct admission into the college. They must clear JEE main/GATE exam in accordance with the selection criteria of their preferred course. applicants must also register and attend the JoSAA/CCMT counselling process before seat allocation by the institution.
For admission to its M.Tech programme, NIT Jalandhar accepts the GATE scores. The institute accepts Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM) scores for admission to its MSc programme. Furthermore, the National Institute of Technology accepts national-level and state-level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, and CMAT for admission to its MBA programme.
