Beyond college, this is a short review of my college, Dayal Singh of Delhi University.
Placements: There are 70 students in my course of philosophy honours at Dyal Singh College, and this course does not have any recruiting companies or an average package, but full of memories and knowledge that is given to the student. We get the real experience of specialisation in Delhi. But in the commerce department, there are placements and many companies are approached every year, and they get an average of five LPA income.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Dayal Singh College is quite good, and it is a very large college, including an NCC ground, which is the largest DU with other football ground, basketball ground and kabaddi ground. There are other things like the auditorium and EP theatre for social purposes.
Faculty: NBA owners' philosophy of Dayal Singh College faculty is quite good, TIC Prakhar, sir, and the best of the best teachers like Rachel sir, Swati mam and Ghazala mam with all experiences and excellent professors in their field. They have written about many social problems and articles regarding social concerns.
Other: I am from an arts background. I have taken arts in my 12th, so philosophy is quite interesting for me, and I love to read and choose the course of my own interest so that I can study with my own interest without any pressure.

Dyal Singh College, DU, is known for its good faculty, especially in the arts and commerce fields.
Placements: 55 percent of students got placed in the philosophy course, and the rest chose higher studies. The highest package offered in the philosophy course is 23 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The average package offered is 8 LPA. KPMG, EY, and Genpact companies hire students in our course. A total of 15 students got internships from our course. Roles offered in the philosophy course are management, consultant, research analyst, policy consultant, lawyer, etc.
Infrastructure: In our course, Wi-Fi is available. The library is present, and other departments that require labs are also present. There is a 2-floor library. The ground floor is for a study area and contains some books, and 1 floor contains all the books related to every course. The hostel is under construction right now, and it will be completed in 2-3 years.
Faculty: Teachers of our course are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, and their nature is friendly. Semester exams are from moderate to high level. In our course, the maximum pass percentage is 85.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in reading different philosophers' books. The best thing about a philosophy course is that it makes us think in the correct way and makes us more responsible for our decisions.

Knowledgeable and experienced teachers, good infrastructure, facilities, campus location are great.
Placements: Honesty, B.A. Philosophy hons program has been recently introduced at Dyal Singh College. It was started in the year 2022 so the philosophy department is the smallest department of the college as of now. None of the batch has passed out from the college yet. So, there's no data regarding the placements in this specific course.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious and well-maintained with projectors and whiteboards. Library is quite big with a vast collection of books, journals, and other helpful resources. The food available in the canteen is good in general with variety of options at decent prices. There's a sports and games room and students are provided with equipments and resources required. Although, there is no hostel at the college. Students can get themselves a PG/ hostel in the near locations easily at an affordable cost.
Faculty: The department of Philosophy is the smallest as of now but the faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. They teach based on their interests and expertise, which can make their classes engaging. The curriculum for philosophy hons provides a deep understanding of philosophical concepts and theories. While it may not directly prepare students for specific industries, it develops critical thinking and analytical thinking. Semester exams can be challenging, but the difficulty level varies depending on individual preparation. The exam structure typically includes regular assessments, assignments, projects, presentations, and viva.
Other: I chose to pursue this course as it aligns with my interests the best and I wish to pursue a masters in the same field. Apart from the studies, this college is extremely beneficial to those who are active in extracurricular activities. College has numerous clubs, societies, and other events which help students to engage and help them to grow, and experience different things apart from their studies. College connectivity with the metro is another plus point. The college is located at the existing JLN stadium. The campus crowd is decent and helpful majorly.

Insights into DSC, Delhi University.
Placements: For the most part, liberal arts courses don't get placements, but the computer science department at my college does. The average salary package is around 6 LPA, with companies like TCS recruiting candidates. There is an internship cell in our college that covers a wide range of companies, including Boat, AIM, and Naario.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is average. The lecture rooms and even the football field were not very comfortable. The canteen was spacious but the food quality was only average and the prices were too high. The library had wifi but it didn't work throughout the library and there were not enough plug points or air conditioning.
Faculty: The philosophy department at Delhi University doesn't even have enough teachers to cover all the core subjects, and the teachers they do have are not very good. The department wasn't even formed until 2024. In my opinion, the political science department is the best of a bad lot. The exams are not too tough and can be tackled by studying past question papers.
Other: I like the course because it teaches critical thinking and debating skills. However, the faculty is not very good. The campus is average, and there are not many glamorous events or fests. The crowd is also average.

Overall, it's a good choice to study here.
Placements: The highest package offered for this course is INR 36 LPA with a median package of 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, D.E. Shaw Group, KPMG Global Services and many more. Top roles offered in this course are content writers, civil services, academics, journalism, law and ethics, business analyst, policy analyst, research assistant and more.
Infrastructure: We had our all classes for bachelors at Dyal Singh College and it's infrastructure is really good. Spanning around 11.8 acres. The facilities such as Wi-Fi and library, everything is good. Colleges have all essential facilities like pure water, good food and medical care as well. We don't have a hostel in our college. One needs to find a PG or hostel in nearby localities of the college.
Faculty: The faculty were very helpful and always willing to help students with their coursework. They provided enough student materials and question papers to help us prepare for our exams and future careers. To gain admission to the college, one needs to clear the CUET entrance exam.
Other: This course can help you become a real person, which one always talks about. This course teaches you how you should ACT—what to think, what to say—and make us perfect for our Ife. As it includes subjects like ethics and morality, which itself meant doing only what is right for everyone as well as for you. It should have hostels for both girls and boys separately, as it's hard to manage living in different states.

Dyal Singh is one of the best colleges in DU, having all the characteristics.
Placements: There is not much placement given in the philosophy department by our college. Recruitment companies for me are Jindal Law Groups for lawyers and universities for professors, with the lowest being 4 to 5 LPA. Most students got internships in companies for various positions like sales and marketing, telecommunications, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. In the library, our course books are available, and it is fully air-conditioned. There are labs where we go for practicals. Our college also provides us with Wi-Fi. There is an NCC ground on campus. The food in our college canteen is good and affordable. There is no hostel on the college campus, but medical facilities and multiple sports facilities are available.
Faculty: We have very good teachers in our college who help us a lot. They are well-read and knowledgeable. Their teaching method is very simple and clear, which helps us understand. The exam pattern of our course is a bit challenging. If we study well, we can score very well. The pass percentage in our college is 40% in both theory and practical for all subjects.
Other: Philosophy is a very interesting subject. I chose philosophy to understand why it's considered the mother of all subjects, to learn about epistemology, metaphysics, cosmology, how to live, and many more unthinkable questions to find answers. In our college, events and fests are organized.

College is good in terms of infrastructure and crowd but not for placements.
Placements: The campus provides us a good platform for sports music and many different activities but I don't know about the placements and recruiting companies because I didn't get any placements offers so I am not sure about that. I think approximately 30 percent students got internship offers which is really a good percentage in terms of interns for any other colleges.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are really good, really better than most of the colleges of Delhi University. Labs, classrooms, library and theatres all are in excellent condition. The canteen is really neat and clean too and completely Hygenic which is really good for any other colleges.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They are experienced teachers, always helping us when we need them. Semester exams are not really tough in my opinion, but not easy too and the pass percentage is 33 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion and to prepare for my upcoming tough level exams.

My experience at Dyal Singh College, Delhi University.
Placements: Almost all students gets internship in my college but it is up to them they are interested or not. And if I talk about placement. Commerce students get very great placements in our college and with a package of about 8-9 lacks per month. But it only helpful for the students in commerce stream.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available at my college but infrastructure is good but not so excellent but it is in process of getting better day by day. Students along with school helpers are working hard on making college more beautiful. Our library is really very good with ample of varieties of books.
Faculty: If I talk about my subject. It is deep though but I found my lecturer very good in teaching because they play very crucial role in our studies. If we just revise what they thought in class we can even top the exams and if we fail to do so the best teacher is google but I will prefer you in that situation have some short notes for exam and test times.
Other: My course is really very unique and interesting and the reason behind is that the study of course not only help my acquiring knowledge of certain subjects but also make me a better person. The events fest all are held very frequently and students participate enthusiastically and it is very enjoying at the very moment.
