Q:   What is the eligibility for LLM at Faculty of Law, BHU?
    A:

Aspirants need to pass a three-year LLB after graduation of five-year LLB recognised by the Bar Council of India with at least 50% aggregate to apply for LLM programme. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

Q:   Is LL.M at Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University better than Faculty of Law, MGKVP?
    A:

The Faculty of Law at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) stands tall as a cornerstone of legal education in India, renowned for its esteemed status among the country's top law schools. Pioneering innovation in legal pedagogy, BHU holds the distinction of being the first law school in India to introduce transformative concepts like clinical legal education and legal aid programs. These groundbreaking initiatives have not only enriched legal education but have also empowered students to engage meaningfully with real-world legal challenges.

In stark contrast, the Faculty of Law at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth (MGKVP) garnered a ranking of 6171 for its LLM programme in 2022, reflecting a significant disparity in global recognition compared to BHU. While rankings offer a perspective, they often encapsulate a specific moment and don't always portray the holistic quality of an institution's educational offerings.

BHU's Faculty of Law's pioneering initiatives, combined with its legacy of academic excellence, solidify its standing as a trailblazer in legal education. Its innovative approach, comprehensive curriculum, and distinguished faculty contribute to its stature as a premier destination for aspiring legal scholars.

While rankings serve as a reference point, the pursuit of quality education extends beyond numerical positions. BHU's Faculty of Law continues to uphold its legacy of academic brilliance, empowering students to become adept legal professionals equipped with not just theoretical knowledge but also practical experience, setting it apart as a beacon of legal education excellence in India.

Great infrastructure, low fees, beautiful campus with clean environment, and is highly suggested.
Placements: Placement facility is yet to be established effectively. Otherwise, placement chances are average to none. In other departments of this university, placements take place regularly. I am in a law course, so the chances of placements are a little bit less.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are of top-class if we see the fee attached to the course and hostel as well. Our campus is very neat and has a clean environment. The campus felt like heaven, which is away from chaos. The campus is beautiful. The library facilities are the best there if we want to study besides in our hostel room or with faculty members.
Faculty: All professors are great, and classes take place routinely. The curriculum activities are also great and scheduled periodically. Exams are conducted punctually and strictly. I recommended it to my cousins and friends also because this university is among the top universities in India.

We can pursue our goals here and the environment of BHU is very helpful for us to succeed.
Placements: For LL. M students, we don't have any placements. But the people who are studying here have a great opportunity to get selected in judiciary and other competitive exams. Now they are trying to get placements for LL.B. . and B.A. LL.B. . students in various sectors.
Infrastructure: The Faculty of law is equipped with a big Library with huge amount of books. The only negative aspect regarding with library is its timings. The working hours of Library is only form 9AM to 6PM. They provide good hostel facility along with Wi-Fi. The quality of food is a bit worse but we have other ways to sustain in the hostel.
Faculty: It consists of good qualified teachers. Some teachers are good and helpful but some teachers are only confined to their teaching. The curriculum is relevant. They provide LL. M general course which is useful for the persons who are interested in teaching as our course contains number of subjects like Criminology, Constitution, Family Law, Jurisprudence etc.
Other: I've opted for LL. M General course as it is useful for me to pursue for teaching and research. They must include the new emerging subjects in the general course itself as it will be useful for us.
