Satisfied with college life.
Placements: 60 percent of the students got placed from our batch. The highest package is 6 LPA, the lowest is 1.2 LPA, and the average is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Cognizant, TCS, FSBPL, Capsitech, and PwC. 100 percent of students got placed in internships in different companies like 70 percent in Euphoria GenX, 15 percent in Ardent, and 15 percent in CTS. Top roles offered are developer, SW developer 1 and 2, customer care roles, and associate roles.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. The service is good and well-versed. Labs are clean and tidy. The computer devices are a little disturbing but are functionally able. The library is a place of aura. It contains each and every book you want and you can sit for hours and hours together. Summers are good with the library. The quality of the food in college is average. Foodstuffs are not so good but the environment is good. The basketball area is there to play badminton, tennis, cricket, and whatnot. The medical facility is not available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and guide well for placement purposes. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Practical demonstrations are given during classes and doubt-clearing classes are held before exams. The courses are relevant to today's life. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are medium. The guard is very strict and cannot even move their head backwards. Questions are given from the class notes only. If thorough with notes, then it will be easy for that candidate.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 40 percent of students get placed in the IT department. The highest package offered is 11 LPA. The lowest is Rs. 18,000 per month, and the average is Rs. 34,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Oracle, KPMG, HCL, and many startups hire students. 20 percent of students got placed in Cognizant. 30 percent of students got placed in TCS and 2 percent in PwC. The top roles offered are software engineer and developer. Many students got selected in their dream companies and have a good life.
Infrastructure: Facilities are really good. The infrastructure is good and is getting better day by day. The library and computer labs are very good. Wi-Fi facility is available here. The quality of the food in the canteen is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. They provide us with everything and how to crack interviews. They teach very well. The CSE and IT department teachers are very helpful and make students ready for industry life. Semester exams are a bit tough, but if we are thorough with our studies, then they are good. They also help us to crack the dream job. Their behavior is good.

I'm satisfied with the faculty, good placements, good infrastructure, facilities, etc.
Placements: Approximately 80 percent of students got placed. The average package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Career Comfort, Wipro, Huron, Zensar, Tech Mahindra, Teleperformance, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. Internship is less as we have got more job opportunities.
Infrastructure: FIEM's 5-acre Kolkata campus features more than 32 smart classrooms, over 82 labs, and a 60k-book library. It offers 3 AC auditoriums, Wi-Fi, sports grounds, and a canteen. This eco-friendly hub blends modern tech with top amenities for students. I was not in the hostel, but I heard from others that it is good.
Faculty: FIEM admits via WBJEE, JEE Main, and MAT offers B.Tech, MBA, MCA, BCA, and Media Science. Faculty includes experienced Ph.D. holders with a 1:25 ratio. They provide strict, supportive guidance in core streams like CSE/ECE, ensuring industry readiness. Good faculty and exams are conducted strictly.

College was good in placement, but now not like that much.
Placements: This college provides a good education but its placement opportunities are not as strong as before. Several reasons could be behind this decline. One major factor is the changing job market. Companies are now more focused on hiring candidates with practical skills, internships and certifications rather than just relying on on-campus placements. If the college has not updated its placement strategies or industry connections, recruiters might prefer hiring from other institutions with stronger ties to the industry.
Infrastructure: This college provides good and not-so-good lab facilities. Some labs are well-equipped with modern technology and some are not. College has no personal hostel. Library is very good, every type of book is available. It is big library. Outside of college, there are 4 private hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Most of them have good academic backgrounds, industry experience, and a deep understanding of their subjects. They are approachable and willing to clarify doubts, ensuring that students grasp the concepts effective.
Other: Every year a total of 4 fests are conducted in college.

About Fiem College & Campus Life.
Placements: Top recruiting company: Accenture, Cognizant. Average package offered: 400000/YEAR. The lowest package offered: 3LPA. Roles offered: Software Developer. 50+ pooled campus hiring was there at the point of time. 70%+ students got placement opportunities from on-campus companies.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility was not there for us, not sure about if it was there now or not. Labs and classrooms are average with less facilities. Library was quite large and had a great ambiance too. Wi-Fi facility was there in the library for all. Overall, it was average infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, but not all of the professors were the same. Course syllabus is relevant, but not that much current modern technology is there in a deeper level. Semester exam questions are not that difficult, but the exam cell is really very strict in nature.

It depends upon which college do you want to go to. As of now, to get IT in top 5 colleges under WBJEE 2018, one needs to secure a rank within 5k to 6k. And for Jadavpur University, the rank should be under 500. Best of luck. Hope you will get your best.
