Our college has a really great infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: Bachelor of science in geology does not offer any placements in this college. Previous batches have received offers from Mahindra with a salary of around Rs. 10,000-15,000 per month. The faculty members will give you information regarding the related internships in different companies like Coal India, etc. The top roles offered in our course depend on the companies that visit the college like Concentrix, which gives you a salary of around Rs. 10,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is overall very good and spacious. The geology department has a separate geology lab which is significantly big and has all the necessary apparatus needed for all the experiments. Petrological microscope, minerals, hardness scale and all are available in the lab. The college has a canteen where all the requirements are met. The food served is overall good except for a few items. The college has a big playground.

Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified and experienced. They are capable of clearing all your doubts. The course curriculum is relevant. Geological trips are held for the geology department, which makes students know the working experience. The difficulty level of semester examinations is easy to moderate. The pass percentage is 33%.

Other: This course is different from all other science courses like maths, physics and chemistry. The best thing about this course is that it instigates curiosity in you about how the earth was made, what the changes were from the pre-historic times to the recent time and how the environment changed and organisms evolved. The thing that I want to be improved is the awareness about this course. No one really knows about this course and often gets confused about it with geography. Few events and fest are organised in the college like youth festival and winter fest. The college is situated in the centre of the city and is connected with autos and bus routes. E-Kalyan scholarship helps a significant number of students to almost freely study in this college.

I am absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty members.

Placements: I have no idea of what percentage of students were placed from our course. I was not completed my course yet, or I am not in contact with any passed out student or students of any of the batch of our course in our college. So, I don't know about placements. I hope we get the best placements as well as the salary packages.

Infrastructure: In terms of the facilities and infrastructure of our department, everything is good.

Faculty: The teaching quality is good enough to gain the knowledge and proceed forward, but everything got affected during the pandemic. We won't get our online classes nor even the study materials. Just with the help of the syllabus, we are going to complete our exams. The teachers here behave weirdly with students to share their contact details, and this led to trouble for us in the pandemic. It affected our academics, which is really not good.

Other: There is value for money here. We felt grateful here before the pandemic, but during this Covid-19, it became the worst. For the fee we are paying, we are not getting educated by our department teachers. We are just provided with emails and links about how we can attend examinations. Still, we are facing trouble because we are getting examination updates at night before the exam day.

The Science department it's campus surrounds trees all over in a queue.

Placements: Out of 100% students 20% were placed in my course and 50% of the total count are regular students in our course. I haven't passed yet so I can't tell about placements, percentage of internships and the top recruiting companies for students in our course.

Infrastructure: Canteen is good, classrooms are spacious, library is filled with books, labs are good too with instruments but there's no sports room and that's a major missing also we don't have any sport ground like basketball court or football ground or anything.

Faculty: Yes the teachers are qualified and we also had regular classes before the pandemic and we had our study tour too but we lacked some practical because of time issues and collision of classes with other batches sometimes. But we had our practicals for sure.

Other: Events are awesome but there's a lack of sports and games in events. Only singing, poetry, seek, debate, dancing kind of stuff is presented in events, fests.

Review through my eyes for my college which I think from my perspective.

Placements: There were no placement offers as such or any internship opportunities provided by the college. It's just a simple course that one will be completing and learning. If one wishes to continue further studies one can surely think of investing their penny it will be worth it but not for placements.

Infrastructure: Classrooms were big enough. Library was quite decent. There was no Wi-Fi available on campus but still, everything was enough to complete our course in these three years. There was no hostel facility on campus but there were many good hostels that we could find 500m or 1000m away from college with decent rates.

Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful and knowledgeable. No doubt they helped students in every way possible they were keen towards their students. Course was very helpful for those who wished to continue their career in geology. Semester exams were also easy enough that a student could secure good marks and get good grades.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my career in geology and wanted to go for further studies and gain ample knowledge. I wish during our time college would have conducted online classes that would have helped us instead of time wastage. Fests were also conducted in which mostly students from arts backgrounds participated. Campus was good and had a good environment as well.
