B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2026
4.0
I am satisfied with the faculty members. Overall placements are bad, but Infrastructure is good.
Placements: Placements in the EE department are very poor, as many companies do not visit our college. Only 2 or 3 companies come, and they hire very few students. For example, out of 300 students, 150 are eligible for placements, and out of those, only 5-10 candidates are getting jobs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students, but we can easily access it by consulting with seniors. Library is better and quite peaceful for studying. Wi-Fi is also available in the library. Outsiders cannot enter the library as an ID card is required, which is a very good technique. As for the hostel, I cannot comment since I don’t live in the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty memebrs are quite impressive as they are highly qualified and have great experience in the teaching field. This helps them understand which students grasp the material and which do not. Courses are designed to make you industry-ready, but it depends. In terms of the curriculum, I think other experiences are also required.
Other: This college holds fests for every department, which helps connect with like-minded people and make new friends to enjoy college life. Extracurricular activities in this college include an annual sports event, where games are available for both boys and girls.

Guru nanak institute of engineering, college admission process.
Placements: The placement is required for every number of students, but one condition in your marks percent is that 75 percent above is compulsory. It was provided that the placement salary is INR 30k around salary starting. There are many companies that offer internships at the college, such as TCS and Khar Technologies, etc. There are not any roles offered.
Infrastructure: This college campus and department provide many facilities, like drinking water, a bathroom, clean classrooms and labs, and a library, but all books are available. The canteen food is so fresh, and the sports committee is playing every year's sports and games.
Faculty: That is, the college teacher is qualified at Mumbai University in the engineering degree. The college teacher is very knowledgeable and helpful. There are a total of 4 years of course and 8 semesters. There were a total of 900 marks on the paper, and passing marks of 45 percent are compulsory.

Review of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology - GNIT.
Placements: About 60% of students in the final year were placed in electrical engineering. They have one semester left. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiters are Wipro, Capgemini, Amazon, Mindtree, etc. Around 10% to 15% of students get internships. There are many companies that offer internships.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, but the speed is not good. It is less than 1 Mbps. Sometimes, Wi-Fi does not work. We have good labs for our practicals. Classrooms are fine. We have a book bank system in our library. We get books at the beginning of a semester. The hostel is good enough. The mess is fine.
Faculty: Like at every college, not all teachers are good. They are friendly. They help you as much as they can. If students concentrate a little bit, then they will be industry-ready. Questions in exams are prepared by the university. If you study, you get good marks. The pass percentage is about 80%.

I love the college and our faculty members.
Placements: I am from the electrical branch. Around 85% of students got placed in top recruiting companies. Our top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys etc. Around 90% of students got internships from my course in various companies. Our college is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata.
Infrastructure: Our campus is big enough to chill and hang out with friends. We have a pond, where we can sit around. Wi-Fi is available on campus 24*7. Our lab is very big and has the equipment like a typical lab. Our college canteen is very neat and tidy.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very kind and humble. They are very helpful. They are highly qualified and clear every doubt of students when asked. Our end-semester exams are tough enough to answer. Questions come from books, and the pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: I chose this course because it has a huge scope in government jobs. I wish there should be an improvement in practical exams. Our college is well connected by trains and bus.

I am satisfied with the study environment, campus facilities, and helpful teachers.
Placements: Nearly 55% of the students got placement offers. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Mindtree. The highest salary package offered was about 3.85 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Almost 10% of the students got internship offers. Maximum students got placements in the IT industry as assistant system engineers.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread over a huge area with greenery everywhere. The campus has playgrounds and a basketball court also. The classrooms are fully furnished with modern equipment such as digital boards, computers, air-conditioners, and machines. The classroom size is huge and it provides good ventilation. There is a library, xerox center, a stationery store, Wi-Fi support, and many more features inside. The hostel facilities are very good and the food served is up to the mark with decent standards. The medical facilities are readily available and various cultural activities are being organised from time to time. This place provides a sense of home.
Faculty: The electrical department has many best professors you could get in this country. They are knowledgeable, well versed in their subjects and will always answer your questions. The curriculum is regularly updated to match the latest trends. The teaching quality is quite good. It will make students industry-ready in due time. The semester exams are of moderate level.

The college gives an opportunity to increase knowledge.
Placements: More than 85% of the students got placed on the campus. Others got off-campus placements in reputed organisations. The average salary package offered is 2.0 LPA. Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, ITC, Infosys and many other reputed companies visited the campus. They mainly offered GET, O&M engineer and associate roles.
Infrastructure: GNIT has a very beautiful and lush green campus, and there is a Wi-Fi enable library with 3 auditorium halls. Classrooms are quiet and airy. Our college provides separate boys and girls hostels with meals and 24x7 security. Labs are well-equipped and well-facilitated for students.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified in their field. They encourage us to go ahead with new ideas. We have got digital classes, and our labs are also well-equipped with projectors and whiteboards so that learning becomes easy and simple. I am familiar with the course curriculum. They provide us with different types of webinars, seminars and workshops in this pandemic to improve our knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because it has wide chances to be ready for industries. If they included industry-best subjects and basic and deep learning, then it would be better. Cultural events are very good.

It's a perfect college for students who really want to get exposure to technology.
Placements: Many students, after their degree, got placed in many companies. Many students got placed in many companies during their final year. I would rather say the quality of placements is very good. 80-85% of students get placed during their final year.
Infrastructure: The college has infrastructure and facilities are quite good. Labs and classrooms are conducted on a daily basis. There are a total of 2 large playgrounds, and there is also a pond on campus. The floors and rooms are very clean and hygienic. Overall, it is a well-maintained campus.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and active with every student. Currently, I'm pursuing B.Tech in electrical engineering from Guru Nanak Institute of Technology. According to my own experience, the teachers teach us and take good care of us. They guide us when needed. One can easily communicate with teachers in case of doubt in their studies.
