• GNIT candidates need to appear for WBJEE / JEE Main/ CEE-AMPAI for admission to the B.Tech programme and GATE / CEE-AMPAI/ PGET for M.Tech. program. Candidates need to qualify for the JEXPO examination for admission to the Diploma programs. For other undergraduate programs offered by GNIT, candidates need to qualify for CET.

From 7th semester students are eligible for the campus placements during the summer holidays for the final everyone should perform a compulsory internship at a company or a vocational training with credits of 2. The highest package will be around 60-70 Lacs every year the values may change. Around 75-80% of the students in our branch will get placed.

The rank needed for GNIT admission to various BTech branches would depend on which category the student belongs to and which branch they have chosen. 

For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 410186 to 1299159. As per the last date, the most difficult specialisation was BTech CSE (AI and Data Science), with the cutoff being 818107. Hence, the rank required should be at least 1299159 or below.

GNIT WBJEE cutoff 2025 was released for the various BTech course specialisations for the All India quota categories. 

For the BTech CSE( AI and DS) branch, the GNIT BTech cutoff 2025 fell between the ranges of 410186 and 818107, according to the first and last rounds for the General AI category. For the same category, for the BTech CSE branch, the overall cutoff was between 419731 and 878724.
