Very satisfied here.
Placements: In this college, about 300 students are in the first year. Almost 60 students, or 20%, got admitted to CSE. The highest package this year is 86 LPA, and the lowest package is 15 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS Ninja, TCS Digital, TCS Prime, etc. Almost 80% of students are doing internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities available are very good; all the labs have AC. The professors also help students with their studies and other curricular activities. The college has its own playground, and each hostel has its own volleyball court. The food here is great.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, but students also need to study from YouTube. The curriculum includes Physics and Chemistry in the first year, and then they are taught their base studies. The semester exams are not hard to pass, with a pass percentage of 40.
Other: The fest here is called Espektro, and it is the second biggest fest in West Bengal after Jadavpur. The events are amazing and enjoyable.

Really good college for learning and also for placement after 4 years of course.
Placements: Almost 20% of students were placed in CSE department of KGEC and the highest package this year is 86 LPA and the lowest is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, TCS, Cognizant, etc. Almost 70% of students got internship in TCS (ninja, digital), Infosys, Cognizant, etc.
Infrastructure: Food is pretty good and the canteen is also very good, like talking about food quality and hygiene. The hostels are also clean and affordable for middle-class families. All the labs in the college are AC facilitated and the computers are also in good shape (for CSE and IT). And also, Wi-Fi connection is present. Nearby are good hospitals like JNM, etc.
Faculty: All teachers help the students study the courses and do well in exams. Semester exams are not very tough to pass. The pass percentage is 40% in the written exam and 40% in the lab exam. This college makes the students ready for industrial work and for jobs.
Other: The location of this college is eco friendly. The fest is very enjoyable here and we students work very hard to make this fest so big. We also get the facilities of SVMCM, etc.

Know about KGEC in short.
Placements: About 80% of the students get placed in the CSE, IT, and ECE fields, but placement in core departments like EE and ME is not that good. They generally go for higher studies through GATE scores, or a few get placed, and others opt for government job exams. If you are in the CSE and IT departments, companies like TCS and Cognizant visit and mass recruit on average 50-60 students overall. And others get reputable companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and JP Morgan off campus.
Infrastructure: Laboratories are well air conditioned; however, being a government college, you will see a lack of equipment and machines, or some are faulty machines and are not replaced. There are 6 different hostels, one for M.Tech, four boys hostels for each year, and one for girls hostel.
Faculty: Obviously, teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. Though the curriculum for CSE and IT is well done, students still need to brush up on themselves personally for good placement. Semester exams are quite difficult, as conducted by MAKAUT University. Passing marks are 40% overall, out of which 30% are in college and the other 70% are under university.
Other: I chose this course as I got CSE and placement is fair in CSE branch. I wish better companies visit the college. And every year a cultural festival named espektro is organized by the college students for 4 days. There are many clubs which you can join. Clubs for dance, singing, art, literature, coding, Robotics, gdsc, NSSC, sports, photography, etc.

Placements: Generally, 90 Percent students are placed in CSE branch every year. The rest of the students go for higher studies after GATE CAT or NET. The average package is 6 LPA. The highest package range is between 40 and 50 LPA (off campus) and 18 and 20 LPA (on campus); the lowest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCl, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.
Internship opportunities are provided by local teach startups generally. top roles offered in CSE are data analyst, hr, and code analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is enabled in all classrooms and labs. The library has a wide stock of important course books and out-of-curriculum books too. A huge number of computer labs and other IT labs are there for the CSE department. Hostels are equipped with unlimited free Wi-Fi. The food quality is adorable too. With minimal cost. Every hostel has an attached playground and badminton courts. Hostels also have canteens attached to them.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. With outstanding knowledge of the subjects. Intense care is given to the students. The curriculum is relevant to the modern tech industry and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough to pass if you don't study the entire semester. At least 1 month of preparation is necessary to pass the semester examinations. With a minimum number of students, almost 70 percent of the students pass the semester examinations.
Other: Computer Science and Engineering is undoubtedly the only course in which you can be assured of placement in today's scenario. The best thing is that it has a lot of logic but little calculation. The thing that can be improved is the number of practical classes. The college festival Espektro is the second-largest festival in West Bengal after IIT KP. It is grand and even better than Jadavpur Sanskriti.

Placements: 80% of students got placement. In CSE overall, 75 percent of students got placement. The lowest package offered is 3.5 LPA, the average package offered is 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 11 LPA. The top recruitment companies are TCS, Congnizent, L&T, Aivot, IBM, Amazon and so many more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kalyani Government Engineering College is very good. There are lots of things to do. The college had a Wi-Fi connection, well-maintained labs and classrooms, and a very big library. Hostel facilities are also very good. The quality of the food was awesome. And they maintain hygiene.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful throughout their academic careers. They help us by providing notes and extra classes. They guide us properly. Very friendly nature. Teachers make us industry-ready. Talking about the semester exam, the exam is obviously difficult, but our teachers help us properly, so it is quite easy for us to give the XM. The pass percentage is overall 60 percent.
Other: The best thing about this course is that you will gain lots of knowledge. The technical skills were improving day by day. The campus has many events.

Yes, you can try electrical, mechanical, IT in KGEC with rank. You can also try electronics in KGEC, but I am not sure if you will get it or not. Best of luck

Hello Antara Sarkar, if I may say so, your ranking is a bit on the lower side. You will definitely get admission in engineering but would be little tough to get CSE. This is so since almost every student gives this branch as the first choice and as a result of this the cut-offs are really stiff. How

If your general rank is 1599. Then you must have gotten admission. But if your OBC rank is 1599 then it is very difficult to admit in kalyani.
