Yes, the selection to IIIT Kota’s BTech programme is based on the candidate’s JEE Main exam score, followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), through which they are allotted a seat. IIIT Kota BTech Admission Dates 2026
IIIT Kota B.Tech admissions take place through the JEE Main exam as well as JoSAA counselling. NTA has announced JEE Main 2026 dates. The process begins with the JEE Main Session 1 (January) and Session 2 (April), with final results to be out in May. After exams, successful candidates should register for JoSAA counselling, held in June. During counselling, seats will be allocated to students in accordance with merit and reservation rules. If any vacant seats are left then they will be filled through CSAB Special Rounds in August. Students then have to report to the Kota campus for document verification and fee payment.
