Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.
The number of companies that visited the institute campus over the past three years indicates an improving trend. The count of recruiters increased from 88 in 2021 to over 110 in 2022. For admission to IIM Amritsar for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2024 has been announced on December 19, 2024. Candidates, who appeared for the entrance exam can now download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Amritsar admission.
