The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to the ME/MTech programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application forms are closed for admission to the BE/BTech course. The JEE Advanced exam 2026 will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 2 result has been announced on the official website for IIT Jammu admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses.
- The IIT JAM 2026 Round 1 counselling registration and choice filling process for admission to the MSc course has now closed. The first admission list will be announced on May 25, 2026.

As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.
So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

Yes, while applying for the MTech programme at IIT Jammu, a student has to first register compulsorily on COAP portal. It is also mandatory for all candidates with valid GATE score to register at COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) and use the COAP registration number while filling the application form of IIT Jammu. The application fee for M.Tech registration at IIT Jammu portal is INR 200 for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates and INR 300 for other category candidates.
For 2023, cut off was 7855 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Mathematics and Computing at IIT Jammu - Indian Institute of Technology. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Additionally, it also holds a record of offering the highest and average package of INR 53 LPA and INR 15.5 LPA, respectively, to the students.
No, IIT Jammu admit candidates to its BTech programmes based on JEE Main qualification followed by JEE Advanced scores only. There is no other accepted entrance exam and provision for admission. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of exam scores have to take part in JoSAA counselling for seat allotment. The seats are allotted in accordance with the released cutoff and the applicants preferred college and course.
IIT Jammu has released the placement report for M.Tech in Tunnel Engineering for the year 2023. As per the placement statistics 2023, the highest package offered was INR 5 LPA. The total tuition fee for IIT Jammu's MTech programme is INR 80,000. This fee element, howevet, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. BTech at IIT Jammu is available across seven specialisations. IIT Jammu's UG courses include 20% seats (category wise) for IIT Jammu + IIM Jammu dual degree program (four-year BTech of IIT Jammu and two-year MBA of IIM Jammu). The transition to IIM Jammu MBA is to be opted by the end of the third year of the IIT Jammu BTech course. Yes, GATE exam dates have been announced. The GATE application form gets released on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The exam will be conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Students will be required to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). The GATE syllabus is based on General Aptitude and Core Discipline, carrying a weightage of 15% and 85% respectively. The schedule of JEE Main counselling will be declared by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The counselling will be conducted tentatively in the months of June and July. There will be a total of six rounds of counselling and seat allotment which will be conducted by JOSAA. Students who will appear in JEE Main 2024 and will obtain a valid score will be eligible to participate in the JEE Main counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs including IIT Jammu.
No, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIT Jammu are not out yet. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December.
