CSE and MNC courses in IIT Jammu are better than the IIT lower branches.

Placements: 2024-25 placement data has not been updated till now. The highest package is recorded off campus. In the year 2023-24, around 85-90% of students got placed. The placement cell is working hard to get us placed. Top recruiting companies for our course are Graviton, Samsung, MediaTek, Qualcomm, MathWorks, BP, L&T, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Deloitte, and Flipkart. 80% of students got internships in DRDO, Adobe, Samsung, T&P, etc. For the 2023-24 batch, the highest package is 53 LPA, and the average ...

The college is good considering academics, hostels, and placement in tech.

Placements: This year there is approximately 80% placement in IIT Jammu. The highest package on-campus is 45 LPA while the lowest is 6 LPA. However, one student got a package of 85 LPA off-campus. The average package is 13 LPA. I am from the MnC branch which is relatively new. None of the batches of MnC has passed out but it has a very good scope as per the current scenario. CSE has a 100% placement start. Talking about internships, you will get an ample amount of opportunities and college support too.

An emerging 3rd-generation IIT with a good future.

Placements: Placements are average compared to other IITs. CSE placements are excellent with almost all students securing good packages. Lower branches face some challenges with placements which is a concern for students. Placement cell is working efficiently to address these issues.

It's a great place to live in with an amazing infrastructure and growing tech culture.

Placements: In our batch (third year) about 16/40 students got internships in companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Warner Bros, Samsung, etc. Even I got 2 internships as an SDE intern at WBD and the other as a 6-month summer intern (SWE role) at Amazon. The highest package till now in our senior batch is around 62 LPA which is an offer given by Atlassian.

Getting an IIT itself is a big thing.

Placements: Almost all students get placed in our course. The average package is 14 LPA and the highest is 50 LPA. Top roles are in Data Science, ML, and software development. Top recruiting companies like Qualcomm, Intel, Nvidia, Amazon, and Silicon Labs. Almost the batch gets internships. There is nothing hard to get.

A decision to join in IIT Jammu.

Placements: Approximately 60% of students get placed in the chemical discipline. I don't know the exact statistics for 2024, but based on 2023 data, the highest salary package offered was 53 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are mainly petroleum companies like Hindustan Petroleum, among others.

IIT Jammu total tuition fee for the BTech course is INR 8 lakh. The total tuition fee for the M.Tech course is INR 80,000. The fee for the MSc course is INR 26,000. Expensive or not, depends on person to person. Those students who find the fee expensive must apply for the scholarships.
