Therefore, it is possible for the candidate to get admission at the given ranks in a few specialisations. The General AI category student having the cutoff rank between 550-600 can get admission to M.Sc. + M.Tech. in Physics and Materials Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 889. Since the Cutoff is released category-wise, the chances of getting admission would depend on the category as well.

For BTech, as per the JoSAA R6 2022 cutoff for general category students, the closing rank for popular courses like CSE was 2430, and 3257 for AI and data science. The cutoff for Bioengineering went till 14,933. In comparison to 2021, the rank for the CSE course went from 2897 to 2430 in 2022. IIT JAM 2022 closing rank in the Fourth Admission List for MSc Physics specialisation at IIT Jodhpur stood at 600.
