Therefore, it is possible for the candidate to get admission at the given ranks in a few specialisations. The General AI category student having the cutoff rank between 550-600 can get admission to M.Sc. + M.Tech. in Physics and Materials Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 889. Since the Cutoff is released category-wise, the chances of getting admission would depend on the category as well.

Students enrolled in the MSc programmes are not provided with any assistantship or scholarship from within the Institute. But, candidates enrolled in the MSc programmes can pursue external funding agencies providing assistantships or scholarships. Some of the scholarships for which candidates can apply are INSPIRE scholarship and Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. These scholarships are offered by the government.

IIT Jodhpur offers a 2 year MSc course in 5 specialisations, including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Digital Humanities, and Computational Social Science. Admission to IIT Jodhpur MSc course is through the all-India level Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM) conducted by IITs. The reservation policy is adapted as suggested by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. School of Liberal Arts, IITJ offers a 2-year flagship MSc course in Computational Social Science (CSS). IIT Jodhpur cutoff for BTech CSE has been released for various categories including OBC. Released upto six rounds, JEE Advanced closing rank 2023 for IIT Jodpur range between 1276 and 1363. From R2 to R5, the closing rank for BTech CSE remained consistent at 1348. For R1 it was 1276 and for R6 it was 1363.
