Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad admission 2025 is entrance-based for all the courses. The IIT Palakkad offers a list of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The flagship programme of IIT Palakkad is BTech which is offered in various specialisations. Admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) is granted on the basis of JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling. The students must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for admissions into M.Tech course. They must have a valid GATE exam score. Also, they must be Indian nationals. In courses where GATE exam is not considered, students must have one of these:
1. Four- year UG degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Science and Engineering
2. A four-year UG degree in BE/Btech or MSc in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics along with GATE qualification in DA/CS/EC/EE.
IIT Palakkad JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been released for the first round. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India quota. The cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 5736 and 14872. BTech in CSE turned out to be the toughest specialisation among the General AI category.

MTech is a two-year course offered at the PG level in the Engineering field. IIT Palakkad offers MTech in six specialisations such as Data Science, System on Chip Design, Computing & Mathematics, Manufacturing & Material Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Electronics & Power Systems. To be eligible for the MTech programme the candidates need to take the GATE exam and clear the cutoff.
