IIT Patna - Indian Institute of Technology offers executive MBA Programme. Candidates must have a valid score from any aptitude test (CAT/MAT/ CMAT/XAT/GMAT) for admission to the Exe MBA programme. Candidates are required to fill the eligibility criteria as well. Candidates without an aptitude test score need to appear and clear the
Executive aptitude test conducted by Manipal University Jaipur as per admission norms to the MBA programme.

IIT Patna placement 2026 is ongoing and will continue till May 2026. At the end of Phase 1 placement 2025-26, BTech placement rate was 54.34%.
Earlier, the placement rate at IIT Patna stood at 77.92% and 61.01% for BTech and MTech during placements 2024.
A total of 90 companies visited the campus and 319 offers were made at the end of IIT Patna Phase 1 placements 2025-26. Earlier, 225 companies visited and 582 offers were made during the placement drive 2024-25.

No, direct admission is not available at IIT Patna. It's purely on the basis of candidates' performances in JEE Advanced and JEE Main. For postgraduate, it may be either on the basis of their GATE scores or by entrance examinations conducted by respective courses.
The flagship course of IIT Patna is BTech. The four year BTech programme is offered in 11 specialisations. Admission to all BTech courses is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. Students also need to go through the counselling process conducted by JoSAA for final seat allotment. The eligibility criteria for admission is that students must have cleared their HSC/10+2 with minimum 75% aggregate. The total seat intake is 638.
BTech and BS courses completely based on JoSAA following an appearance by a candidate for JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination, however for other courses MSc and M.Tech based on GATE, IIT JAM through COAP and CCMN counselling and the seats under PhD course on appearance basis on admission test organized by institute itself. After the test is conducted, IIT Patna publishes a merit list containing the names of students selected for PhD.

No, the GATE registrations for IIT Patna 2026 MSc admissions are no longer open. The GATE registrations were closed in the month of November 2025. The GATE is scheduled to take place in the month of February 2026. Candidates who failed to register for the GATE are required to wait for the GATE 2027

No, the GATE cutoffs for IIT Patna 2025 admissions are currently unknown. The only availabe cutoff data for MSc admissions at IIT Patna comes from IIT JAM. The GATE cutoffs may differ from the IIT JAM however, the difficulty of both exams is relatively the same. Hence, candidates can expect similar
