- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registrations for session 2 started for IIT Patna admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The last date to register for the same is Feb 25, 2026. Further, the session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 exam is now over for admission to the MSc course, with the results expected to be announced on Mar 20, 2026.

No, there is no provision of a student studying free at IIT Patna as per the official website. However, IIT Patna provides a range of Merit-Cum-Means scholarships to meritorious and needy students. Any UG (BTech) student or MSc student can receive these scholarships. The criteria to receive is that the annual income of a student's parents/ guardian/ family from all sources in the preceding financial year must not be more than INR 4.50 lakh. The tuition fees for international BTech students at IIT Patna is INR 32 Lacs for standard BTech courses. Integrated BTech courses with a duration of 5 years charge a tuition fees of INR 40 Lacs from each student.

Yes, IIT Patna does offer financial support to its PhD students. However, candidates of the self-financed category of PhD courses are not offered any financial assistance at IIT Patna.
