The answer is both yes and no. It is possible to get admission at IIT Tirupati without GATE, but in other courses than MTech. A student can enter into IIT Tirupati via JEE Advanced or IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test) for BTech and MSc. So, if the dream is just to enter into IITs, there are various courses one can pursue except for MTech. However, admission to IIT Tirupati for the M.Tech programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. IIT Tirupati offers MTech for two-years at the PG level. Admission to this programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling.
