Kirit P. Mehta School of Law LLM is a one-year PG degree course divided into two semesters and offered full-time. The institute is affiliated with SVKM’s NMIMS (deemed-to-be University). The basic eligibility requirement for admission to the LLM course is that candidates must have a LLB degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50%. KPMSL Mumbai LLM courses are available in six specialisations. The names of the specialisations are- LLM in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Criminal Law, and Financial Regulations.
The LLM admission is based on candidates' achieved scores in CLAT PG/ PGCETL/ entrance test conducted by NMIMS, followed by a personal interview. The NMIM entrance test is an offline examination conducted at the NMIMS Campus. The test consists of 100 scores, containing the topics: Jurisprudence, Indian Contract Act, Intellectual Property Law, etc. Each subject carries 10 marks. PI contains 30 marks. Candidates appearing for the final year examinations are eligible to apply, and the examination should have been conducted before the course commencement date. However, the final mark sheet must be submitted within the given due date. LLM is approved by the Bar Council of India.
