Till now a bit satisfied with faculty.

Placements: Students have not passed out till now after the change of name of the branch from industrial and manufacturing engineering to industrial engineering, but according to me, placement will be better as it will be similar to the placement of mechanical engineering.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities of the course are excellent as it is similar to mechanical. Hostel and food are average, but food is better compared to other hostels. Like there's chicken 4 times a week. Cleaners come to clean your room on alternate days. Teachers also help you with studies-related queries.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified; all of them have done Ph.D., and some of the teachers are from IIT. According to me, they can solve every doubt you have related to their subjects, and they will further help you if you need any. They will send you the PPT and notes for better understanding.

It is a good college with decent placements.

Placements: Placements in industrial production engineering are very low. Most of the students opt for higher education or business. Whereas, the placements in other branches are concerned. There are a lot of opportunities, if students stand out, they could get great placements.

Infrastructure: This college has one of the best infrastructures in the country. Our hostels are very comfortable and with variety of options. The mess and other extracurricular activities are top-notch. Medical facilities are also provided. They own a medical college and a chain of hospitals, so this is not a problem either.

Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable. But the only drawback is most of the professors stick to the conventional way of teaching which makes it a bit less interesting in online mode. Some interesting teachers make learning fun in this college.

Other: This college has one of the best campus crowds and students have a good life. Each day is a new experience for students and has the opportunity to develop themselves.

No doubt the best engineering college I've ever been to in my life. Everything is top notch.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. A lot of campus recruitments took place, core companies as well. From Delloite to Microsoft, companies were recruiting quite a number of students. Also core branches placements did take place. A lot of people got into MNC.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi enabled campus. Centralized AC is installed almost in every academic block. Food quality was also amazing. Labs and classroom have state of the art technology. No issue as such was faced by any students as such. North as well as South Indian food was also provided by the mess. There is ample amount of space for students.

Faculty: The faculty is fabulous. They are very helpful and knowledgeable too. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. in their respective fields. They are always helpful regarding any problem the students would be facing. They are usually available twenty four hours for helping the students.

The college provides good placement and infrastructure.

Placements: It is quite tough to get placed into a well-known company through the college because the cut off will start from 8 CGPA for core companies. For non-core companies, CGPA above 6.5 is acceptable. The overall placements in this college are the best for students of computer and electronics and communication branch.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best. The campus is W-Fi enabled and has AC rooms. The library is well-equipped with all the books of all the branches. It is a hub to several journals and magazines as well. The newly built recreation centre for sports and student plaza for cultural events helps in all-round development of the student.

Faculty: The teachers in MIT are highly experienced and have vast knowledge. Most of the lecturers have a PhD degree. There are a few who have multiple PhDs. Powerpoint presentations and blackboards are used as a method of teaching. The teaching of the lecturers is easy to understand.

Perfect infrastructure and campus life, but it comes with a cost.

Placements: During 2012-2013, the internet and online e-commerce steadily made their way into the Indian economy. As a result, a lot of IT related companies visited our campus for placements. Companies like Deloitte, Microsoft, Oracle, Accenture, etc., have visited our campus. E-commerce operators like Amazon and Flipkart also visited our college for placements. A few more companies like Mu Sigma and Futures First also visited. In the core sector, companies like TATA Motors, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Hero Motocorp, Honda Two Wheelers, L&T, and Vedanta etc., have visited the campus. The placement cell in the college is always on its toes to get hold of the best companies to the college. However, during that year, the college focussed more on IT and tech-related companies, and it lacked in bringing core companies. Branches like industrial and production, mechatronics, instrumentation, and other such secondary branches suffered regarding placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Manipal Institute of Technology is undoubtedly amongst the best in India. Classrooms are well-connected, and labs were equipped with machines of industry standards. There is a world-class library that houses numerous books on all topics alongside the latest journals and magazines. There is also an innovation centre which is the home for facilities to carry out research and also nurture students for entrepreneurship projects. There is a centralised food court which offers meals that are prepared by automated machines. There is also a separate building for sports and recreational facilities.

Faculty: There was a mix of both experienced and new teachers. Some of the teachers were excellent at their jobs. Though some teachers have a lot of experience, they lacked competence. The teaching methods and pedagogy were praise-worthy. Both traditional techniques and modern ways like presentations, etc., were used to teach. There were regular assignments which also added to the overall scores at the end of the year. Few teachers also encouraged us to carry out live projects under their guidance. During my time at the college, the curriculum was not refreshed but probably post that they have made a lot of changes in the course structure.

Other: A technical fest named TechTatva and the annual cultural fest named Revels are organised religiously every year by the students. Apart from this, a lot of clubs help students in both their studies and extra-curricular activities. Clubs like Leo Club, Rotaract Club, music and fine arts club, and IEEE, etc., are available on the campus. The only thing to keep in mind is that the fee here is on the higher side which can be a concern, but the crowd and the campus life are good. If you utilise the college correctly, Manipal could be of big help to build the overall competent personality required in today's time. It provides a galore of opportunities in the campus. It depends upon the students, how he/she makes use of them.

Manipal Institute of Technology - The best four years of my life so far.

Placements: The placements at MIT are getting better every year. The placement department has been doing an excellent job year after year to not only retain their industry partners but also make new ones. We had a wide variety of colleges coming to our campus ranging Microsoft and Amazon to TCS and Accenture. The approximate starting salaries were around 3 LPA and would go up to 23 lacs per annum. ECE department is well-known to have 100% placement.

Infrastructure: The top class infrastructure, state of the art research labs with the heavy investment in the latest technology. The classroom atmosphere is comfortable and conducive to learning. The new hostel facilities are probably among the best you can find in the country. However, the canteen food is something that needs to be improved on. That being said there are plenty of multi-cuisine options available outside the campus.

Faculty: All the faculty members hired by MIT are well-qualified although not all of them are good professors. MIT strives to keep up with the latest demands of the industry while designing its syllabus. Although there are still some concepts and practices that are outdated. The teaching method used was mainly through the powerpoint presentations and classroom handouts, which had around 90% of the material required for the tests and end semester evaluations.

Manipal and my review of the institute.

Placements: The placements are really good. There was 90%-100% placement record. The average salary would be 4-6 LPA. Many MNCs, core companies visited. Internships all over the world are being offered through IASTE and AISEC, both technical and cross-cultural. Even the companies visiting also offer internships and P+I offers.

Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi facilitated everywhere. The classrooms are air conditioned with a projector and blackboard both. Medical facilities are very good and helpful as KMC Hospital is just outside the campus. Coming to sports and games, all the sports facilities were present. There was even Marena sports complex. Labs are having all the instruments and highly classified types of equipment. Food is adjustable in the canteen. Can find good food around the campus. Hostel rooms are neat and good.

Faculty: Faculty of the mechanical department has great knowledge, Helpful behaviour and fun-filled teaching methods. Regarding their qualification, they are highly qualified. Industry exposure is something which you can get on your individual interest. The course curriculum is really helpful.

Amazing infrastructure and extraordinary faculty

Placements: The placements were quite good for industrial engineering as most of the students opted for higher studies rather than sitting in placements. Students were placed in companies like Mercedes, Toyota, etc. with a good package of 3-4 lacs on an average. Overall, it depends on the students what package they can get based on their capabilities.

Infrastructure: Manipal Institute of Technology has the best classrooms and the best hostels. All facilities provided are of an awesome level. Green campus with Wi-Fi facilities throughout the campus. Mess food is mess food but if you compare it with other colleges, you will find the differences between our food and their food. We have got almost the best food a mess can provide.

Faculty: Mostly the faculty members here are doctorates or are pursuing their PhD. They have high-level teaching qualities. The teachers are available for you anytime to help you out. They share their personal number. We get industrial exposure. Everything taught here is very useful.
