Mechatronics would be a great choice.

Placements: The placement in this course is 100 percent apart from people who pursue higher studies because Mechatronics students usually opt for higher studies. The highest package is 22 LPA and the lowest is 9 LPA. SAP labs, Ola, etc., come for recruitment. A few of them made it to Microsoft and the rest did find internships in startups and a few went for research. Top roles would be senior design engineer.

Infrastructure: The hostels are well-maintained and well-secured. The quality of the mess and canteen is very good, hygienic also, the variety of dishes offered is less but still good. Mostly the menu has food that belongs to Karnataka culture but they do make North Indian food sometimes which is average.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and the teaching quality is great. Some things in the course feel irrelevant but most of it is very relevant. Semester exams are difficult, scoring is easy but maintaining a GPA is difficult because of the relatively strict grading. You need to score at least 36 percent to pass.

It has an amazing campus and college life.

Placements: Placements are great. Top companies like Infosys, SBI Bank, Microsoft, and many other companies hire students from the college. Not only do CSE students get placed, but there are also placements in core branches. The placement percentage is around 70-80 percent overall, and the placement percentage in the CSE course is around 90 percent.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is top-notch. There are ACs, a wide space, and ground access nearby. A strong Wi-Fi is available even at midnight. The mess food is above average, and we get bored once in a while, but it is still manageable. There is lift access, hot water availability, water purifiers, and regular room cleaning.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are from IITs. Most of them are really chill, friendly, and understand our vibe. There are a few bad faculty members, but with a few suggestions, they keep improving as well. The learning environment is amazing. Exams are on the tougher side, so we have to keep learning or start preparing at least a month before exams.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the field. I would want to improve sports facilities, especially because they are mostly run by seniors. It would be better to have a coach. Campus life is one of the best in India. It has one of the most beautiful campuses. There is a lot of space to walk.

A great college for socialists.

Placements: The placement percentage is about 60–70%, with the highest placement package at around 50 LPA and the average package at 10.49 LPA. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Qualcomm, and many others. Multiple internship opportunities are present during the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, along with projects.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for Mechatronics are decent and growing, as it is a relatively new branch. Labs are well-equipped, classrooms are neat and well-ventilated, and there is a huge library with access to the required knowledge. Wi-Fi access is given to each student, along with a learner ID through which they can use all amenities, including online ones like Grammarly and others. Plenty of sports amenities are also present.

Other: Multiple student clubs such as drama clubs, dance clubs, some related to theatre-related clubs, art clubs, music clubs, and others. Student projects are also available for students to enroll in. These clubs help build portfolios.

It is a well-rounded experience that combines academics, social life, and career growth.

Placements: In my course, the percentage of students placed is pretty less because of the demand for the CS streams, leading to few students being placed. Amazon, Google, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, Intel, Oracle, and Flipkart are the major recruiters at MIT. There are also companies like The Adani Group, Philips, and Boeing.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty amazing. College is quite old and it has been maintained well. Sometimes the Wi-Fi does glitch out and not work. We have many libraries and labs are amazing labs. There is a cricket ground, swimming pool, and many other courts are in good condition. The mess food is not the best but some days the food is crazy good.

Faculty: The exams are not that bad they have a good amount of time to prepare for. Teachers I would say are good unless you pay attention in class, you are set for the exams. I am not sure about the pass percentage but I would say it's a good number. The course seems relevant and it helps me in developing myself in all aspects.

Placements: I am going to graduate from the mechatronics in 2025 November. Approximately 80% of students are placed. The highest package is around 1 crore, and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA. The median package is 7 LPA. Top recruiters are Bosch, Tata Motors, Altair, Microsoft, Palo Alto, etc.

Infrastructure: At MIT Manipal, the infrastructure and facilities are top-notch for students in the mechatronics department. Campus offers high-speed Wi-Fi across various zones ensuring connectivity for academic and research purposes. The department has well-equipped labs with advanced machinery for practical training.

Faculty: MIT Manipal has qualified and experienced faculty members with academic credentials and industry experience. Teachers are generally helpful and knowledgeable. They offer guidance both inside and outside the classrooms. Teaching quality trends to be good.

Other: I chose mechatronics because of my deep interest in robotics automation systems and their potential to revolutionize industries. Mechatronics being an interdisciplinary field offers a balanced mixture of mechanical electrical and computer engineering which aligns with my aspirations. Revel takes place every year in March where we have Bolywood celebrities participating and it is always best time of the year.
