Manipal: College of Dreams.
Placements: 76% of students were placed this year through our college. At present, as it is the first passing-out batch, our placements are centralized with Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. Next year, companies are going to come directly to our college for placements. The internships in college can be from the 3rd semester itself, which also includes placements from AICTE and MNCs.
Infrastructure: We have a library with ample books relevant to the courses, and the central library will be built by the end of 2024. The classrooms are centrally air-conditioned. The labs are equipped with all the latest software. The hostels are modern and are maintained by ZOLO. The mess food is great, with the menu changing weekly with different varieties of food items.
Faculty: We have a great faculty, with most of the Ph.D. holders. The faculty are well experienced in both research and teaching fields. The course curriculum is designed according to government guidelines, so yes, it is relevant. The semester exams are quite easy, and the pass percentage is 89.7%. .
Other: The college mainly has the branding of a great educational institute, Manipal. And the location of the college is also a factor, as it is located in the IT hub, where placements are made easy.

The college provides brilliant placements.
Placements: Placements in Manipal Bangalore were quite decent. Almost 85% of students got their placements from campus placements. The average package size in 2020 was about 6 LPA in our course. Internship opportunities are provided to the students by the college itself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good and well maintained, Each facility is available for students like RO purifiers, Wi-Fi, sitting areas, canteen, playgrounds etc. And the classes are equipped with modern facilities. The hostel is not value for money according to my experience at Manipal Institute.
Faculty: Faculty of Manipal Institute is not well fit for the job and because of this students don't want to attend their classes. Students have to rely on other paid courses despite paying college tuition fees, semester examinations are tough students need to focus on their study in every semester.

Short review on MIT, Bengaluru.
Placements: Around 75% of students got placed in the first batch, and placements are still ongoing. The highest package is 51 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA. Students from the 3rd year also got internships. A majority of software companies came for placements this year. Placements are combined with the main campus. This is a placement record for the first batch passing out in 2025, in which a total of 240 students are there.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good with 24x7 room service. The hot water is available. Hostels have attached bathrooms or common bathrooms, as per room types. The newly constructed hostels have ACs too, but since construction is ongoing, a lot of noise is there. The fee for hostels is also very high, with a minimum of 2 lakhs.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly experienced. Most of them are PhD holders, and some are even from reputed IITs. The course curriculum is good, and the content being taught is good. Labs are fine, and we mostly have to drive deeper into the subject by ourselves. Exams are of a moderate level, and grades are on a basis of relative grading.
Other: The campus is very new and still under construction, but it is being done at a very fast rate so it will be done completely by this year. Location is not too far from the airport, so we can reach it in 30 minutes. Fests held in 2024 were okay. The campus is very beautiful, and the mess food is just fine. The college fee is very high.

The Manipal experience.
Placements: 70% of students have been placed. The highest package offered is 35 LPA for three students at Confluent. Eight students have been offered 22 LPA from BlackRock. The internship opportunities are based on skills. 50% of students got internship opportunities. The roles offered in my course are either data scientist, software engineer, or AI engineer.
Infrastructure: Labs are pretty good. The Wi-Fi is average. Classrooms are great. The hostel is too good. They clean my room every single day so it is very hygienic. Mess food is also pretty great. We get chicken every alternate day and chicken biryani on Sunday.
Faculty: Faculty members are average as far as the first year is concerned. The curriculum is pretty relevant. It does make the students industry-ready. The semester exam difficulty is 7/10. So students need to prepare well to pass in these exams. The pass percentage is 90% overall. It also depends on the subjects.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a data scientist. The best thing about my course is the curriculum. The events are amazing. There is an annual fest named Rubaru and cultural fest named Falak.
