B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027

Decent placement, faculty, curriculum, and best for private colleges in Kolkata.
Placements: 60-70 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 12.5 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. 70-80 percent of students get internships from my course in companies like TCS and Wipro. TCS, Lumino, Cognizant, and Amazon are the top-most companies that recruit from our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classroom and library available for my course/ department. We don't have any hostel facility, but there are private hostels nearby. The food, mess and canteen are well cleaned. Medical facilities and sports like cricket and football are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated, qualified and knowledgeable for my course or department. The course curriculum is relevant, it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exam is very easy if you study the entire semester, and the pass percentage is 80-90%.
Other: I chose it because I want to be a senior electrical engineer. The subjects should be improved because the syllabus is so old. Techfest is held here.

The college campus was quite small.
Placements: This course was very good for future engineers; we did everything. The chance of placement is quite good. We can place the IT sector or the core sector both. 60% of students can be placed in my course. 45% of students got internships from your course, and the majority of the companies are in the IT sector.
Infrastructure: I don't live in a hostel, so I don't know how the infrastructure is. But I think it's quite good. But I think the water and food facilities are not good enough. The rooms are quite good. And the hostels are near the college, so students can attend regularly.
Faculty: The exam was quite easy because all the professors helped us when we had doubts about any questions. They explain those questions to us so that it is up to us to answer those questions. Sometimes makaout was settled unsyllebus question paper. We can't solve those questions.

I am satisfied with this college because of its faculty members and placements.
Placements: In our college, almost 98% of students are placed. They provide placements in IT sectors as well as core companies. The salary package offered is 32 LPA at Amazon.
Infrastructure: Our college hostel is good. They provide good facilities. Food is not good, but it is manageable. We have an affordable canteen in college, but that is not so hygienic. The bathrooms in our college are not good. The ladies' toilet smells bad and there is no such commode or pan available.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent and provide us with interesting classes. The course curriculum like projects on robotics and electrical projects is also provided, which is very helpful in learning. There are clubs in our college where we can do many projects and get more ideas for our course. We also have cultural clubs to showcase the talents of individuals.

I am satisfied that I joined this college and got a good placement.
Placements: This college provides good placement for students. Good companies visit our college for placements. During our time, TCS used to recruit bulk students. Recently, companies like Deloitte and various MNC companies have been coming for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. We have a big library where we get our required books. They have a huge stock. The classrooms are well-lighted and huge. The lab facilities are also good, with all the working equipment. But the college doesn't have its own playground. The college doesn't have its own hostel, but there are many third-party vendors who have their own hostels nearby.
Faculty: Teachers at this college are helpful and knowledgeable. They will be there to guide you and resolve your queries. The course curriculum is well-maintained, which will make you industry-ready. The semester exams are more or less similar to real exams. They seems difficult if you are not prepared.

Faculty members are very good and friendly, but the management is pathetic.
Placements: Around 30% of students were placed through campus placements, mostly in the IT industry. The salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA to 6 LPA. The top recruiter here is TCS. About 1% of students got internships from our course. Only one student got selected in a company, and that was a startup. Mostly IT jobs are offered here.
Infrastructure: Labs are average here and not well maintained. Wi-Fi is not available, and the classrooms are average. The library is good, and there is no hostel. You have to rent a house, and there are two or three hostels nearby. But they are a little expensive. My group of friends and I rented a house.
Faculty: Teachers here are very good, and they all are well knowledgeable and very friendly. Their teaching quality is very good. Our university syllabus of electrical engineering is not up to the industrial level. Semester exams are average and easy to pass.
Other: The management is pathetic here.

I would rate this college 7 out of 10.
Placements: There are 120 students in our EE course. Till now, around 50% of students are placed and placements are still ongoing. I am placed in CTS and my other friends are placed in EY, Persistent, Capgemini, TCS, Accenture, and Wipro. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The roles offered are analyst, assistant software developer, software developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is not available for students on this campus. I would rate the laboratory 6 out of 10, and classroom 6 out of 10, library 7 out of 10. I would rate hostel 7 out of 10. I would rate the quality of food in mess and canteen 6 out of 10. Medical facilities are 8 out of 10. Sports & games are 3 out of 10, and it has no playground.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. qualified. The quality of teaching is good. The pass percentage in semester exams is nearly about 65%. Students need to properly study to pass but it is not hard. The courses are industry-related.
Other: The campus of this college is very small, not like other colleges. There is no playground in our college. There are 3 big events organised each year like freshers, cultural fest, and tech fest. I didn't get any scholarships, although my few friends get them.

I am not satisfied with the 2020 placements because no core companies visited.
Placements: Nearly 20% of students were placed during our B.Tech period. All the companies were related to the IT industry. There were no core companies. The highest salary package offered was 8.1 LPA which was from TCS digital. The average salary package offered was between 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA, and Byju's offered a package of 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS followed by Cognizant, Capgemini, and Accenture. There were no internships offered in any company during our course. The top role was the last project.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi for students. Laboratories were good, but the instruments were less. The classroom was open, wide, and full of space with a good amount of air passage. Library was good, it contains all the journals, newspapers and books. It also had an online portal, from where students can get all the books. I am a day scholar, so I do not know about the hostel facility. But I have heard that it was But comfortable, the rooms were separate with two beds each. The quality of food was average. Medical facility was not good. No ground for sports and games, which was a disadvantage.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful except for some of them. They were knowledgeable, but they lack the urge to make someone understand something except a few of them. The teaching quality was good. This course doesn't make students industry-ready. The students had to make their path. The same old things were going on in the laboratory, which later I found was of no help. The semester exams were tough, coping with all the assessments, assignments, laboratory work, and 8-9 hours classes. It was very difficult for an outsider to have the energy to study. Still, I managed to get a 7.8 CGPA. The passing CGPA was 5 CGPA.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in it. Best thing about the course was that it provides with the necessary knowledge to proceed further in our field. I learned various estimations related to electrical stuff. The laboratories and the teaching techniques need to be improved, and the pressure was immense in this type of course. The only good about this college was the event. Paridhi was the name of the event which was very popular, and students from different colleges also visit to participate. The campus crowd was big, but not that big that the campus cant handle. There was enough free space to had quality time. The surroundings were green and many fields were there. There was a factory and a service center for hero motorbikes. Many financially weak students got scholarships where the fees were reduced to 80-90%. The college organised various sports including cricket, football, but in different fields as the college doesn't have any field.

Placements in core jobs are moderate. Facilities are good.
Placements: Chances of getting a job is quite okay, depends upon your cgpa, average packages offered are around 4-5 lacs, the highest package this year was around 32 lacs. Jobs offered by wipro, tcs, Capgemini, Bosch, Microsoft, Amazon, tech Mahindra, etc. Placements in core jobs are moderate.
Infrastructure: 50000+ books available in the library, tech fests like paridhi etc. are organised by our college (robotics, coding, gaming), prize pool of 10 lacs. Its one of the biggest exhibition in east India where other colleges comes to participate. Sports events like annual sports events occur. In paridhi we have robot fight, robo-ball (football played using robots ) and other small tech fests occur. Wi-Fi is available in our college. Labs are well maintained, they may look bad but all the machines work properly and maintained regularly. Department teachers are great have experience of 10 -20 years on average.
Faculty: Faculty is nice, teachers are friendly, core subject teachers teach well. This year pass percentage was above 95 percent. Most of the teachers mainly core subject teachers are well qualified and having experience of 10-20+ years in teaching. If you love the course then no subject will be tough. Some of the teachers are strict but that won't affect much if you do your assignments properly. Internships are offered from 3rd year.
Other: I chose ee because I don't want to sit in front of computers for 10 hrs a day. Ee is quite difficult as because amount of Maths in this course will be high, go for the course you're willing to. There are no scholarships in our college.

It's better to contact the admission department of university directly because, in case of lateral entries, rules could be different. You can get the contact number on the website.
