Best crowd, exciting campus life, and a whole rollercoaster experience.

Placements: Geography honors, direct corporate placements are relatively limited compared to economics or science courses, with about 10-15 percent of students getting placed directly through the cell. The placement cell is highly active and brings in companies like Infosys, SBI, and various media or research houses.

Infrastructure: Miranda House is a beautiful heritage red brick campus that is an absolute visual treat. For geography, we have well-equipped practical labs and fully air-conditioned classrooms in the geography department. The library is massive and is a true legacy, offering a digital repository [DRC] and free computer access. Also have great medical facilities, a sprawling garden, and a sports ground to keep ourselves active.

Faculty: The geography faculty is highly qualified. Most professors are very supportive and deeply knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. With an MS in theoretical discussion and practical field knowledge. The course curriculum is very relevant. It builds strong foundation for research, GIS applications, and competitive exams like UPSC.

Other: I chose Geography Hons because of my deep interest in the subject and future plans. It is not set on a scale I want to explore. The absolute best part of Miranda House is the crowd and the women-supporting vibe. The campus is always busy with society activities, seminars, and fests. North campus activities are top-notch. Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station is just a short walk away.

Miranda House is the best college.

Placements: As a first-year student, I am not very sure about this section of the review. However, most students in my course are civil services-oriented. While exceptions exist because others are also interested in research and getting into platforms like the UN. Nevertheless, as far as I have spoken to seniors, placement opportunities are quite decent. The college has its own Placement Cell. It provides timely and verified information about internship opportunities in many fields, be it artificial intelligence, marketing, design, machine learning, entrepreneurship, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is top-notch. Most classrooms are air-conditioned. Ventilation is amazing. Although the Wi-Fi sometimes lags, all parts of the college are fully equipped with Wi-Fi. Even every department has its own Wi-Fi to ensure proper connection. The library is massive and very diverse. Some classes have smart boards, but almost all classes have projectors. The outdoor game courts and open gym are excellent and open to all.

Faculty: All teachers are very experienced and amazing. Especially in practical classes, the class is divided into groups, which ensures that the teacher can explain things in a more engaging, one-to-one manner too. We also learn digital cartography, which is Geography-core specific and necessary for the contemporary era. Your peers, seniors, and non-teaching staff are also very helpful and ever-supportive.

Other: Geography as a subject is very practical and science-oriented while being in the Humanities stream. It has a wide scope and can be paired with any other subject, be it Legal Studies, Economics, Political Science, etc., opening doors from all sides. Miranda House, having a reputation as the best college for this course, totally does justice to it. The crowd is very encouraging, enthusiastic, and ever-lively. Many inter-departmental and inter-college competitions, events, and fests are always happening, giving infinite opportunities to the students to express themselves, learn, experiment, and build their personality.

Miranda House Provides the best learning environment!

Placements: Enviornmental Consulting today has become a very sought after professions and this is where Geography Hons students can contribute. Thus firms like EY, Wipro and others which have global presence always hire our branch graduates with a package in the range of 5-8 LPA.

Infrastructure: I love the hostels, as our hostel is quite clean and has single-sharing to triple-sharing rooms. The food prepared is also edible, and thus the hostel has made my campus life even more interesting. The overall infrastructure is also great. The gym and library are both open till 8 PM for hostel students and till 6 PM for regular college students.

Faculty: Global experts and somebody who has great command over geopolitics are the ones who teach us. Gaining as much knowledge beyond books has been my only ask from them and they have responded with a nod. Thus, my conclusion is that it's hard to find such faculty members which Miranda House has incorporated.

Other: Our college is among the top NIRF rankings, and we probably have one of the most diverse crowds.

Geographers of Miranda House.

Placements: Basically, there are 70+ students in my course, and the average package is also good. All students are very qualified. We have passed the CUET cutoff. Our department is providing us with internships with ISRO IIRS as well. We have also done internships with the Centre for Environment Sustainability and Disaster Management.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is also very good, with AC in most of the classes. There is Wi-Fi all over the college. There is a library with almost all famous authors' books related to my course. A canteen is available in my college, along with adequate sports infrastructure.

Faculty: My teachers are very friendly and qualified for the course. Most of my teachers are graduates of the same college and university. Semester exams are also based on practical knowledge. The pass percentage is 95%, according to me. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant.

Miranda is the home away from home. It gives you the exposure you deserve.

Placements: Placements are not always course-wise. They are more based on experience and skills. You can join many societies, meet talented people who help you develop your skills and passion for different hobbies. There is place for every type of interest, a community for everyone.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and Campus is worth it's hype. The entire campus is all asthetic and pretty passing the correct women empowerment required. The hygiene to be maintained being a girls' college is top notch. The other aspects like the Auditorium and other space are cool and comfortable too.

Faculty: They really add value to the knowledge about your subject. The practical classes are really good, they try to teach you with real life methods rather than just making you copy. There are all types of facilities like lab and other materials required to the students for the course.

Undoubtedly the best choice at Delhi University.

Placements: The college provides decent placement to students who are interested. Most placements are for B.Sc. and B.Com. About 40% of the of the students placed who registered in the placement drive of the placement cell. For an internship, almost every deserving candidate gets the opportunity. There are a lot of internship opportunities available. For our course, research internships are available, as well as some corporate internships if students are interested.

Infrastructure: Miranda has an outstanding red building with historical significance. All the facilities are available here with new technologies like smart boards and digital libraries. The hostel facility is also very good, with decent mess facilities and accommodation facilities. All types of emergency assistance are available, like medical facilities. Students can get engaged in various sports activities available in college.

Faculty: All our faculty members are well-experienced and supportive. Almost 70% of faculty members are Ph.D. degree holders with good experience in the field of teaching. Academically, I am satisfied with the curriculum and teaching style of our faculty members. Attending classes and giving internals and tests every month helps us get prepared for exams easily. Scoring in exams gets easier with this approach.

Glad to make right decision, it's worth to take admission in Miranda House.

Placements: We have a college placement cell itself which gives various opportunities. It arranges many seminars, and many known personalities interact with us. I don't know much about my course placement, but according to my seniors. There are placements in various fields. Most of them generally went for further studies.

Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure if we compare it with other colleges of North campus except AC and sports ground. We have an aesthetic college with beautiful library. Hostel is very cheap from other college hostels in fact from PGs nearby but it's a little tough to get admission into it.

Faculty: As our college is NIRF rank one of course, we have the best teachers or maybe I think our teachers are well learned and experienced ones. They graduated from best universities infact some of them graduated from international universities. Recently due to new education policy, we get additional three subjects to enhance our skills and personality development.

Other: I chose geography honors as I am from CBSE board in starting. I feel very tough to cope up with practical but it all passed away although students who have not studied geography in their senior secondary classes really face difficulties.

Miranda House is the best women's college in Delhi University.

Placements: About 10 percent of students get placed after graduation or on-going graduation. Google, Infosys, SBI, etc. are some of the best recruiters. From our course, it's rare to get internships and placements. Managerial posts, content writers, digital copywriters, lecturers, etc. are the top roles offered.

Infrastructure: Miranda House has very decent and interesting infrastructure. The classrooms are well maintained and Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. The library is also good; most of the reference study materials and other contemporary works are available. The hostel infrastructure is also good but the hostel mess quality is very poor and pathetic.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is also good. Most of the classes are taken in Hindi, so it's a little uncomfortable for non-Hindi-speaking students. The course curriculum is relevant for making a student industry-ready. The semester exam is difficult but a regular class-attending student can score up to 9 CGPA.

Other: Events and fest are regularly happening on our campus and other college students can get in on some occasions with valid ID.

Final Selection
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses. Final Selection
Admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Selected list of admitted candidates would be displayed on the DU admission portal.
