My college is very good and have all type of facilities like AC light and serve.

Placements: Our Geography Honours department is very nice. It has placements in different fields like remote sensing, cartography, aerial photos, research, and satellite work. There are many companies, and you can even collaborate with DRDO, NASA, and meteorologists. There are different fields if you join the Geography department.

Infrastructure: Overall, at Delhi University for Geography Honours, our SBSC college has the best infrastructure. It has separate labs and new version computer systems with all facilities like AC, light, and servers. We also have a library, which is well-managed and clean, providing a good study environment. However, we don’t have a hostel in our college.

Faculty: Faculty are very cooperative, and the curriculum of the college is well managed. Semester exams are quite challenging, you have to study for at least one month before exams because of the level and timing of questions. Teachers provide PPTs, weekly tests, question papers, and notes. If you study in class and score a good CGPA, you can finally achieve your dreams.

Other: I chose this course because in Geography Honours, the 3-year program includes field trips for research, which is a phenomenal experience. No other department offers this. The department also has societies, and extracurricular activities are held, like international conferences and the Vasundhara Fest.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty members and good placements.

Placements: College provides more than 160 placement offers, across 40+ recruiting companies in different roles like consulting, finance, audit and marketing, operations, HR, and startups. The average package is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA, and the highest package is 23 LPA. Estimated placement rate is around 60-70%.

Infrastructure: Geography department is one of the best departments at the college. It provides 1 cartography lab, 2 remote sensing labs, and GIS lab with efficient technical devices. The lab assistants are very polite. College has a library with a huge and spacious reading hall. Canteen provides affordable and hygienic food. All medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. In geography department, faculty members have more than 15 years of experience. There is a geographical association with a core team also. Semester exams are not that difficult if you are attending your classes regularly.

Other: College offers an impressive vibrant array of campus societies which include film tantra, envision, spardha, natuve, minerva, harithkram, etc. The geography department organizes an annual geo fest called Vasundhara, and has a magazine called Landscaped.

A very good college.

Placements: About 60% of students got placed in my course. The average package is around 6-7 LPA. The percentage of students who get internships is quite low but students do get it around 20-30% of them. Students who work hard, apply for internships. They get sponsorship internships but for experience, it is also nice.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are quite good. Everything is available. The library is also very productive. All books are available. The food quality is not so outstanding but good. The medical facility is also good. The new indoor sports room is also under construction.

Faculty: Teachers are the best. You can completely rely on them. Their level of understanding is very high and are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. The difficulty of exams is not so high. If one studies on the last day also can pass the exams with little basic common sense.

Other: I have a keen interest in geography lovers to learn more about the earth and the nature. For the last 10 years, no such fests are happening but some events do happen.

Satisfied and recommended.

Placements: The placements for these humanities courses are rare to find. Still, there are companies that are open to all. My college is commerce-oriented and provides placements for Commerce students up to 7-8 LPA in popular companies like KPMG, Infosys, and Lenskart.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best and still developing. Although it does not have hostel facilities, we have more than 3 labs with computers and Wi-Fi. The classrooms are fully AC and smart. We also have a lost and found room, and the ground is under construction.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and friendly. The course is relevant and includes fieldwork that prepares students for the practical world. The semester exams are not that difficult, as the teachers are very understanding and help with practical work by extending deadlines.

Other: The best thing about my course is the fieldwork practices, which include trips. The inclusion of placements/internships, particularly for geography, would have been better. As a student, you must have an idea of fests and all. Compared to other DU colleges, our fest is slightly different, and the difference makes it more meaningful. Our annual fest, Divyotsav, emphasizes Indian culture.

Exploring the best for the next .

Placements: Many percentages of the students got placement in my course. The highest package which came to my knowledge was 18 Lacs per annum. Many students enroll in the internships. In college internships, many students got stipends of about 4000 to 10000 per month.

Infrastructure: For the geographic department, the college has a separate block, and it has big classrooms which have a very comfortable seating arrangement. It is also well-equipped with air conditioners. All the classrooms in our department have smart boards. They are comfortable for teachers and students.

Faculty: The faculty members of our department are quite good in every manner. They understand the needs of the students and teach accordingly. The course curriculum is very useful in daily lives as it interacts with human lives and the environment and it ties to technology.

Other: I chose this course because it is the only course which interlinks physical sciences with the humanities, and it provides better insights into field studies.

Beautiful infrastructure, good placements and joyful campus area.

Placements: The college gives placements mostly to students in the B.Com. program. But the college provides various internship opportunities to the students, which are paid and provides experience letters. The average package is around 8 lacs. Around 39% are given placements in the whole batch.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well maintained and highly advanced, with lift facilities. The classrooms are very big and have comfortable benches and white boards. The college is active in sports and takes part in various sports meets. The college has a large number of trees and green scenery all around the campus.

Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and are very cooperative with the students. They always try to provide more information than just the curriculum. The exams are held every 6 months but the teachers take class tests monthly for internal assessment. The exams are moderately difficult to pass.

Other: The campus life at the college is so enjoyable that it conducts fests and seminars in large numbers.

Big infrastructure, green and spacious campus, and cooperative teachers.

Placements: The college provides a good number of placements, but they are mostly confined to commerce students. Companies like Wipro, HP, Intex and BHEL provide good packages to the students, whereas many foreign companies also provide exciting placements. The company provides an annual package of around Rs 8 lakh per year.

Infrastructure: SBSC has a beautiful infrastructure and a very large campus area. The college has Wi-Fi facilities all over the campus. There are numerous labs, such as a computer lab, a math lab, and a cartography lab, all of which are equipped with ACs. The college has a large canteen with a variety of foods at a very reasonable price.

Faculty: The faculty of the college are highly educated and have good qualifications. The teachers mostly use textbooks, presentation and lectures for the explanation. The semester exams are average and students can pass the exam easily just by studying the night before.

Other: The college has good infrastructure but lacks washrooms and water coolers.

Placements: Sbsc provides good placements opportunities to the students. The average package offered is around 15-20 Lacs per annum. The highest package offered was around 35 Lacs per annum and the lowest was around 8 Lacs per annum. Various companies like Infosys, smart edge, deloitte, Hcl recruits students with exciting packages. College also provides internship programmes and various other overall development courses.

Infrastructure: Sbsc has a very well maintained and spacious infrastructure. College has a large ground and big Classrooms, large number of labs and conference rooms. College has Wi-Fi facilities all over the campus area and has cleanliness too. College has a large canteen with good taste of food. College has a library spread in two floors with abundance of books.

Faculty: Faculty of the College is above average, some teachers are highly cooperative with the students while some are very strict and have some anger issues. The course of geography honours mainly focuses on theory rather than practical approach to study. The semesters exams are easy to pass, One can Pass the exam by studying 4 days before.

Other: The college rarely conducts any fests.
