Placements: The placements in Geography honours differ year by year. However, around 50%-75% of students secure placements, with the highest package defined as 20+ LPA, the average package as 5+ LPA, and the lowest as 2 LPA to 4 LPA. Even in these, students mention that their profile portfolio moves higher as they move ahead. Top recruiting companies include varied private banks, Deloitte, Mahindra, etc. We can also achieve nice spots in field-specific roles such as GIS and research. A high percentage of students secured internships with a good amount of stipend in companies like Bajaj and various analytics and research startups.

Infrastructure: Geography Honours is a well-structured course in my college as it is enriched with proper equipment. Lab facilities are among the best in Delhi University and directly comparable to the top-tier colleges. However, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College does not accommodate a hostel facility. Students stay around in the area in PGs or flats. There are medical shops everywhere around, along with a canteen in the college itself. SBSC has a big ground, which has undertaken a task to build a full-fledged multi-sports complex.

Faculty: Faculty members for Geography honours are unmatched. They are the top professors as our college is itself famous for Geography honours. The course curriculum is directly relevant to many future opportunities. It does make students industry-ready. One of the greatest examples is a young entrepreneur from our course who established a travel company just after the completion of his graduation. I'm in the 1st semester as of now, and I haven't really analysed the examinations.

Other: I had a genuine interest in Geography, so I chose this course. As the name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is about the course, I was naturally inclined and also got the best of my knowledge here. Societies are very active and provide a bunch of well-versed and adaptable seniors who are helpful to their core.

A good college if you want to pursue geography as your core subject.

Placements: Around 40-45% of students get placed in my course in which the average package is around 12 to 15 LPA. Top recruiters in this field are generally Deloitte, Zomato and NITI Aayog. Around 50-60% of students got internship opportunities. Top roles offered by these companies are GIS Mapping, Urban Planners and Research analyst.

Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library are very good and comfortable. Most of the labs are air-conditioned with high-quality computers and Ethernet. The canteen and medical facilities are also very good. But the ground and sports complex are currently under construction.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They always cooperate and engage students with their continuous guidance. Definitely this course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready in fields like GIS & Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, and Research Analysis.

Other: I'm always curious about the nature and landforms. Also, I've been good at geography since my school days, so I chose this course. I think that the ground should be open at the earliest. Events and fests should be organized in a decent manner.

I absolutely recommended this college for students who want to get degree in B.A. Geography Honours.

Placements: For placements in the Geography Department, usually students get placements in GIS with an average package of 10 LPA, and the highest salary package offered goes upto 50 LPA. Mostly students get placed in GIS-based companies and Remote sensing. Top roles are offered in policy making related to climate, Geomorphology, etc. The college also provides internship and placement opportunities through the placement cell.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi service is available for the entire college. We have digital Geography labs with computers and ACs. Wi-Fi is available for Geography students.

Faculty: Geography Honours these days is a very relevant course because it gives an opportunity to work in big companies related to GIS and remote sensing. It makes students ready for the industry. 99% of students easily pass the exams. Faculty members of the Geography department are very friendly. They are inspiring and helping us throughout our course. A new concept of a mentor is introduced in our department, in which teachers have students under them. Teachers listen to students' problems related to college life or personal life. Teachers take students to Himachal Pradesh sometimes, where they teach them. They also give opportunities to apply their knowledge in the real world.

Other: I chose this course because it has practical subjects. They also give us practical experience through field visits, which are organised by the college. Students can also apply for a Student Aid ID if they are financially weak. The college environment is safe and secure. The faculty and principal are truly concerned for students' safety and try to make the college surroundings safe for students as well.

Exciting start to college life with an interesting course and active campusextracurriculars.

Placements: 30 percent of students got placed through campus opportunities, which is really encouraging for courses like geography through campus. The highest salary package offered was about 23 LPA, and the lowest was 5.5-5.7LPA. Recruiting companies are Deloitte, PwC, EY, Grant Thornton, DE Shaw, Zomato, etc.

Infrastructure: As a first-year student, I found the campus to be really fun and disciplined too. The infrastructure is decent, and for courses like Geography Honours, classrooms are really spacious and well maintained. The college library is well-equipped with technology and the greatest part is it is 24/7 open for students. Ground facilities and sports or other extra curriculars are also well organised.

Faculty: Teachers for my course are really helpful and qualified. They have a really vast set of knowledge. They are interactive and cooperative too. They are easily approachable by students in case of doubts or other queries as well. The course curriculum is relevant and not over burdening. We have extra curriculars related to the course, and exposures like field trips are intriguing and fascinating.

Placements: The placement rate for our course is round 60 % to 70%. Lower package around 3.5 LPA. Average package 4 LPA to 6 LPA,. The highest salary package offered is around 22 LPA to 23 LPA. Common roles offered is GIS analysis, research, remote sensing, and content creation. The recruiting companies are Deloitte, KPMG India, PwC India, Accenture, and Zomato. 50% of students secure internships through the active college placement cell.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent. The college library has useful study materials. The reading hall is good for studying. Our canteen provides food and snacks at reasonable prices. Sports facilities are available. Basic medical support is provided on campus.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful and explain the topics in class. The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical aspects of geography. The course requires regular study and practice, especially for practical work. Semester exams are manageable with proper preparation. The syllabus can be covered through classes and self-study.

Other: I chose Geography because I was interested in learning about places, people, and the environment. The best thing about this course is that it helps us understand the world and different geographical features. I think that practical resources and Wi-Fi facilities can be improved. Students can participate in different societies and events. Extracurricular activities are held for students to participate and explore their interests. Scholarship and fee concession facilities are also available through college support programmes. Overall, my experience is still new as I am a first-year student.

I'm satisfied with my college.

Placements: Okay, so we have 2 sections in our class, and each section contains most likely 70-80 students. Now I'm in 1st year, so I don't know about the placements, but I've heard that our college faculty members are much better than those of other DU colleges. I don't have much idea about the package of our department because I'm new here, and I hear that they also provide internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, but some classes need some improvement in infrastructure. We have 3-5 labs in our department, but only one lab is perfect according to the crowd. The rest of the labs are small, which sometimes feels suffocating for students and teachers.

Faculty: Faculty is quite impressive in our college. They provide better faculty members. Our teachers are very helpful and kind in nature. They always help us whenever we have any kind of doubt. In our practical classes, our ma'am gives special attention to each and every one so that we can understand it better.

Other: I chose this course because I want to know our Earth more deeply and also our environment. Geography is the subject that helps us gain knowledge about our Earth's surface and our surroundings. I wish they would provide more facilities to the students, like equipment and all. There is one drawback, i.e., our college doesn't organize any kind of fest. So, I would like to say that, if possible, they can organize fests and freshers' parties so that students can also enjoy and connect with people.

My college is very good and have all type of facilities like AC light and serve.

Placements: Our Geography Honours department is very nice. It has placements in different fields like remote sensing, cartography, aerial photos, research, and satellite work. There are many companies, and you can even collaborate with DRDO, NASA, and meteorologists. There are different fields if you join the Geography department.

Infrastructure: Overall, at Delhi University for Geography Honours, our SBSC college has the best infrastructure. It has separate labs and new version computer systems with all facilities like AC, light, and servers. We also have a library, which is well-managed and clean, providing a good study environment. However, we don’t have a hostel in our college.

Faculty: Faculty are very cooperative, and the curriculum of the college is well managed. Semester exams are quite challenging, you have to study for at least one month before exams because of the level and timing of questions. Teachers provide PPTs, weekly tests, question papers, and notes. If you study in class and score a good CGPA, you can finally achieve your dreams.

Other: I chose this course because in Geography Honours, the 3-year program includes field trips for research, which is a phenomenal experience. No other department offers this. The department also has societies, and extracurricular activities are held, like international conferences and the Vasundhara Fest.

Placements: College provides more than 160 placement offers, across 40+ recruiting companies in different roles like consulting, finance, audit and marketing, operations, HR, and startups. The average package is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA, and the highest package is 23 LPA. Estimated placement rate is around 60-70%.

Infrastructure: Geography department is one of the best departments at the college. It provides 1 cartography lab, 2 remote sensing labs, and GIS lab with efficient technical devices. The lab assistants are very polite. College has a library with a huge and spacious reading hall. Canteen provides affordable and hygienic food. All medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. In geography department, faculty members have more than 15 years of experience. There is a geographical association with a core team also. Semester exams are not that difficult if you are attending your classes regularly.
