B.A. in History and Geography - Batch of 2024
4.8
It's a big campus with beautiful flowers, a garden, MH gives vibes, where women support women.
Placements: I remember, people generally had a misperception that people with a science discipline had greater chances of high placement, but in my batch of 2024, a B.A., a girl with a Prog sociology and history discipline got the highest placement of the batch, around 10 LPA. Almost everyone who applied for the placement got a decent job of around a 5 LPA package with average communication skills.
Infrastructure: Usually, DU colleges did not provide Wi-Fi access to students, or the connection was weak. But in Miranda, students had access to Wi-Fi, library was a legacy for real. It had a digital repository and DRC, where students had free access to computers. Miranda had beautiful infrastructure, other than this, we had a supportive administration unit. Miranda had a hostel facility, mess food was good.
Faculty: You really had to work hard to get good marks on your assignment. They built a good foundation for the future. Secondly, you encountered people with distinct and diverse cultural backgrounds, like Japanese, African, South Indian, etc. So, student exchanged their ideas effectively. Faculty members were also required to publish in journals, articles, and research on a regular basis. The semester exam could be easily dealable if you do PYQ.
Other: They provided a scholarship, the whole fee was refundable. They provided a laptop for poor students. It was a safe place, outsiders were not frequently allowed. The crowd was gentle, peaceful. You can wear anything, people will always cherish you and motivate you. Students with different backgrounds and cultures came to study, enhancing the beauty. College societies made you active in extracurricular activities like sponsorship and marketing. Being a girls' college, girls played a leading role in organizing every task enthusiastically.

B.A. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2028
4.8
Decent placements, best faculty and strong academics.
Placements: Economics Hons is a rigorous course that perhaps pushes you academically. The course is quite math-heavy, so it does require consistent effort. Placements are decent. People are mostly placed in consulting analytics, basically research roles, with an average package ranging from 7-10 LPA. Companies are mostly Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Accenture, etc. A lot of students also go for higher studies, research, or competitive exams rather than placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and functional. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, mostly equipped with projectors, which are sufficient for lectures and presentations. The campus also has Wi-Fi, which has pretty good connectivity. The college library is one of the best places here. It is well-stocked and has sufficient seating space. There are computer facilities too. I really like the canteen food, and it is reasonably priced as well.
Faculty: Teachers are very well-qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable, with many professors having strong research and academic backgrounds. Most professors are approachable and are there to help and guide students who show interest. The curriculum is very relevant. The semester exams are not very difficult and are doable if practiced well.

B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology - Batch of 2027
3.4
I will say Miranda is the best.
Placements: B.A. Honours Sociology is more about research work, it puts emphasis on making students well enough to do research work, as sociology is based on research. Our students rarely sit for placement as they mostly go for higher studies and research work abroad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is one of the best in the Delhi University. We have different kinds of labs, even language labs, and we have separate department rooms, which make it easier for students to reach out to department teachers and related information as well. We have a separate section for sociology in our library. The seats in the hostel for my course are comparatively fewer in number, but this time they have introduced more hostel seats for the course, so its pretty good to hear this time.
Faculty: My course, I would say I love the faculty, their behaviour while teaching, and they are normally so considerate, like they are always open to changes and are ready to listen to our opinion and make a decision based on it. They are super good at teaching children to make use of academic opportunities and help us at the best.
Other: I would say Miranda is the best. It provides students with so many opportunities to learn new skills and grow at their best here and go rock the world. I am so proud to mention that Miranda is the only college to give their girls voting rights, which shows that it supports good politics and gives their girls the opportunity to be a part of shaping the politics and environment around them.

The college is good in terms of infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The course I am enrolled in is multidisciplinary, and multiple jobs are offered here. Top companies that recruit students are Tata, Reliance, etc. The average package offered in our course is 10 LPA. The diversity of our course helps us to enroll in a variety of career options.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is top-notch. It is like a world-class institute with all facilities like Wi-Fi, high-technology labs, air-conditioned classrooms, and a big library with a large sitting space. The natural habitat of the college campus is very vibrant.
Faculty: Faculty members of my course are good and supportive. They impart a good amount of knowledge to us. They are very helpful and cooperative at the same time. They help us to overcome obstacles in life. Exams are also conducted on a regular basis and are of good quality.

I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course who have a B.A. in history and philosophy is good. But comparatively lower than economics students. The highest package is 24 LPA as per the latest cycle and the lowest package is 6 LPA-7 LPA. From my course students got internships in NITI Aayog.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well furnished with ACs in all rooms. Proper library facilities with computers. Separate portion for disabled students. The mess food is good and the quality and price of the canteen are good and affordable, respectively. There is a tennis court, a badminton court, and a basketball court on our campus. Apart from this the best medical facilities as well as a counselor are also there.
Faculty: Professors are very polite, helpful, and well-qualified. The course and curriculum are really good and focused on the overall development of students. Subjects such as value-added courses and skill enhancement courses are available. The semester exams are moderate and the pass percentage is 5 SGPA.
Other: I have a keen interest in history and philosophy. The best thing is the professors who make the subject more interesting. The Tempest is the fest of our college and as our college is a girls' college, there is a good crowd there and a safe environment for girls. Scholarships are also provided by colleges for underprivileged students. Extracurricular activities are also available. As there are many societies related to classical dance, western dance, singing, debating society, society for poetry and painting, and many more.

    Great experience with new opportunities.
Placements: For B.A. Political Science (Hons) at Miranda House, very few students (around 3-5 percent) take direct placements, most go for M.A., UPSC, and other exams. The college packages are around 7 LPA-8 LPA on average, with the highest being about 18 LPA-19 LPA, and companies like KPMG, Deloitte, Wipro, Uniqlo, NGOs, and policy organisations visit. Many students also get internships in NGOs, government, and research work, and later work as policy analysts, teachers, journalists, or in civil services.
Infrastructure: There are smart classrooms, full-campus Wi-Fi, a big library with digital resources, computer/DRC labs, clean washrooms, and good sports facilities like a gym and grounds. Hostel rooms are decent, but no AC, Wi-Fi, or laundry available. Mess food is mostly average, but canteen food is good, and the college has a medical room/clinic and many options for sports, NCC, and cultural activities.
Faculty: The teachers in the Political Science course at Miranda House are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with a friendly approach. The teaching quality is good, focusing on practical learning, though the curriculum could be updated more for real-life skills. The semester exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of around 90 percent, and it is easier to pass if students attend classes and prepare well. The course curriculum is relevant but could include more practical aspects to make students industry-ready, especially for civil services and policy-related roles.

Placements: Good placement for economics-related courses, other courses also get placements, but in a lesser ratio. The top companies for placements are Narion with Namo, KPMG, ICICI, Salesforce, UniQlo, etc. The highest package was 19 LPA, and the average was 8 LPA for the last placement season.
Infrastructure: Wifi is okay, not the best, but available for the most part. Labs are well-equipped and maintained. The classrooms are okay, but they do not have air conditioning. The library is good, with a vast collection of books available, and it also has several digital resources.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable about their subjects. The curriculum is the same for all DU colleges, it is a little outdated, but for the most part, it does its job. The semester exams are of average difficulty, and one can easily pass by studying well.
Other: My course is Political Science. I chose this course as I have a strong interest in policy and its implications. I chose this because it has good faculty and exposure.

Good facilities as per fees charged.
Placements: As far as I have heard about placement offers till now it's average. A few known companies come for recruitments but they do not have very good placement records. Most students of Miranda are inclined towards UPSC so they are not interested in placement either. Top roles are Financial Analyst, Consulting-based roles, etc. Being in my first year 1-2 internships have been done by a few of my batchmates have done internships.
Infrastructure: Labs are good. The newly installed Wi-Fi is working well. Infrastructure is good according to the fees charged. Canteen is price-friendly and good food along with fruit juices are available on the menu, e.g., dosa for Rs. 42. Library is quite good. For sports, we have grounds, gyms, playing equipment, etc. The medical facility is good. They are lazy. A cat bit me a few days ago. I went for treatment she told me to use handwash to clean and then told me to visit WUH for further treatment. They lack resources too.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified. But sometimes as a disadvantage students are not able to understand. At the same time due to peer pressure they fake and don't even mention that they are not able to grasp that concept. My course is Economics Hons and it makes students industry-ready through their own hustle. Professors are not very contributive to this. Semester exams are of a medium to difficult level. Semester 1 results are awaited so I have no idea about the pass percentage as of now.
Other: More skills-based learning instead of useless sec, vac, AEC, that's just a burden and time waste. It is not adding any skill. Realistic skills can be added to the curriculum. Scattered resources like internship offers, case comp, quiz, etc., leading to missing opportunities. A whole DU student-based platform can be made to organise.
