Miranda House is every girl's dream college, as it offers way beyond academics.

Placements: Political Science is one of the topmost humanities courses at DU, and thus the placements too are topmost. We have a batch size of 120+ students doing a Political Science Major, and 60 percent of those are placed. The minimum salary offered at our campus is around 3 LPA, and the highest is nearly 20 LPA.

Infrastructure: Out of all the girls' hostels, ours is one of the most scenic campuses, as all the buildings are aesthetic. While most DU colleges are undergoing development, ours has stayed the same ever since. The lawns are beautiful, and the canteen serves some of the best possible food that can be made available at a college canteen.

Faculty: I don't know if aesthetic is the right term for them, but they are aesthetic and have a clean teaching style. By clean, I mean there is no discrimination or anybody being favored at all. All are looked upon equally, and CUET scores are never even asked by any of the faculty members.

Other: I have served as President of one of the fastest-growing societies in our college, which is Girl Up Astitva.

A very beautiful and good college.

Placements: Roles like public policy, data analysis, and consulting services are provided through the placement cell at Miranda House. Through the flagship annual job fair, Chrysalis, students actively secure high-impact roles and internships. The average package for graduates ranges from 7 LPA to 9 LPA. Exceptional profiles land packages as high as 21 LPA to 23 LPA in consulting and political strategy sectors.

Infrastructure: The campus is very aesthetic. It has a good vibe. There is greenery all around. The classes have AC. So, it is very comfortable and convenient. There are smart classrooms. They have modern teaching aids like projectors, smart boards, & internet access. The entire campus connects to the National Knowledge Network (NKN). It offers full Wi-Fi coverage. Laboratories are advanced and well-equipped. There are science and computer labs. There are also specialised project-based learning spaces.

Faculty: Department of Political Science at Miranda House has a highly distinguished, research driven faculty. Professors are deeply involved in shaping public policy. They are also involved in advancing gender studies. They publish authoritative texts in political theory and comparative politics.

Great experience with new opportunities.

Placements: For B.A. Political Science (Hons) at Miranda House, very few students (around 3-5 percent) take direct placements, most go for M.A., UPSC, and other exams. The college packages are around 7 LPA-8 LPA on average, with the highest being about 18 LPA-19 LPA, and companies like KPMG, Deloitte, Wipro, Uniqlo, NGOs, and policy organisations visit. Many students also get internships in NGOs, government, and research work, and later work as policy analysts, teachers, journalists, or in civil services.

Infrastructure: There are smart classrooms, full-campus Wi-Fi, a big library with digital resources, computer/DRC labs, clean washrooms, and good sports facilities like a gym and grounds. Hostel rooms are decent, but no AC, Wi-Fi, or laundry available. Mess food is mostly average, but canteen food is good, and the college has a medical room/clinic and many options for sports, NCC, and cultural activities.

Faculty: The teachers in the Political Science course at Miranda House are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with a friendly approach. The teaching quality is good, focusing on practical learning, though the curriculum could be updated more for real-life skills. The semester exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of around 90 percent, and it is easier to pass if students attend classes and prepare well. The course curriculum is relevant but could include more practical aspects to make students industry-ready, especially for civil services and policy-related roles.

Satisfied with the faculty quality, infrastructure, and exposure.

Placements: Around 3 to 5 percent of students from my course were placed last year. The highest, average, and lowest packages are 15 LPA, 6 LPA, and 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Nation with NaMo, I-PAC, KPMG, Deloitte, McKinsey & Company, etc. Around 70 to 80 percent of students secure internships. The top roles offered are political consultant, research associate, and public policy analyst.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and classrooms are excellent and the hostel is very good. The classrooms are equipped with digital boards and are spacious, with good furniture. The facilities are all very good. Wi-Fi is working and available everywhere. Cleanliness on campus is especially well taken care of.

Faculty: The professors are experts in their respective fields. Many of them have studied at universities like Oxford, Birmingham, etc. The teaching quality is excellent. This course is absolutely relevant. The semester exams are not very difficult. The professors teach so well that you are well-equipped to answer any questions.

The best college at Delhi University for the female minds of the nation.

Placements: The placement opportunities available at Miranda House are the highest in B.Com and Economics (Hons). As I am a new student I am still exploring the scope in B.A. and B.Sc. There is scope for placement in these courses as well. The highest package is around 16 LPA from what I remember.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available at the college are the best in Delhi University, in my opinion. There is great Wi-Fi connectivity across the entire campus. Most of the classrooms are air-conditioned, and the labs are well-equipped for a research centre environment. The library has more than 1 lakh books providing a great place to enhance your knowledge and focus.

Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and dedicated to the holistic development of the students and their method of teaching is engaging and informative. The course makes the students industry-ready by providing them research opportunities from the undergraduate level with PCGL and other initiatives of the college.

Aesthetics and Professionalism.

Placements: The placement cell is really good. It keeps providing new opportunities for internships and placements. It helps build a stronger resume. The opportunities are provided regardless of the stream so that everyone can learn new things. Overall, the placement cell is very active.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and well maintained, though there are places where work is required. Wi-Fi works in some places, but in other places, it is very slow. Library facilities are very good. Classrooms are also nice, but some older classrooms have really old infrastructure. Besides, air conditioning is not available in many places, which is essential.

Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced and friendly. They maintain professionalism while giving students full liberty. The sources and materials provided by professors are also very relevant and effective. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is well designed, though some changes are required to make it worthwhile in the practical world.

Other: The societies provide all kinds of opportunities. The campus environment is also very accommodating. Events and fests are organized on a regular basis, which is very good for personality enhancement.

Tempest - our fest, is the most happening fest of DU!

Placements: Big names like Barclays and KPMG have come here for placements and the placements of our college are just outstanding. So far, the highest package bagged at Miranda House is 24 LPA and the average for Political Science stands at 4 LPA. Apart from placements, our college has a dedicated cell that helps students in finding the right internships.

Infrastructure: Miranda House is the first choice of female students outside Delhi because it has a hostel. The seats are just 200, and there's a merit list for that too. Talking about college infrastructure, the British architecture is so evident in our college and the newly constructed Digital Source Centre complements that exceptionally well.

Faculty: Faculty members with the respective expertise and Ph.Ds in the same have been recruited by Miranda House. Many household names in teaching are faculty members at Miranda House. Their deep understanding of the subjects and the way they make us understand and simplify things for us have made them student's favourite go to people.

Other: The crowd here is outstanding and being a girls college, it gives us extra cushion to wear anything without any fear of judgement.

Placements: Good placement for economics-related courses, other courses also get placements, but in a lesser ratio. The top companies for placements are Narion with Namo, KPMG, ICICI, Salesforce, UniQlo, etc. The highest package was 19 LPA, and the average was 8 LPA for the last placement season.

Infrastructure: Wifi is okay, not the best, but available for the most part. Labs are well-equipped and maintained. The classrooms are okay, but they do not have air conditioning. The library is good, with a vast collection of books available, and it also has several digital resources.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable about their subjects. The curriculum is the same for all DU colleges, it is a little outdated, but for the most part, it does its job. The semester exams are of average difficulty, and one can easily pass by studying well.

Other: My course is Political Science. I chose this course as I have a strong interest in policy and its implications. I chose this because it has good faculty and exposure.

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing.
