B.A. Political Science Honors in Miranda House.
Placements: While I am still continuing with my course. The reviews from my seniors tell me that the college provides good placements. But it also provides a strong base. It helps in securing good internships and PPOs. I have a long way to go until I graduate. So all I can provide are reviews and opinions from my own seniors.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are air-conditioned (the majority of them). The library is huge, with a web OPAC that helps you digitally find your book. Personally, I find the canteens (we have four) amazing and economical, each catering to a different need and mood. The Wi-Fi, I’ll admit, is bad across the campus. It works well in some areas and cuts off completely in others. Overall, I give it a 9/10.
Faculty: Faculty is experienced and extremely welcoming. While some may disappoint you, the majority are really good and qualified. The curriculum, however, is outdated. Its practical aspects could be improved and taught in a better way (NEP guidelines). Lastly, the university exams are comparatively easy, as the saying goes, you can never fail in DU. It is the excellence that is difficult to achieve.
Other: The best part about the Political Science Hons course is that it is filled with depth. Societies and events happen every day, and it possibly has the most active society. The crowd is highly competitive and motivates you to be better and push your limits. Finding friends may be a little tough at first, but it gets better with time once you find your vibe.

Overall review moderate. Don’t come with a lot of expectations, guys, or you will be disappointed.
Placements: I am a fresher, and it has been just four months since I came to college, so I don't have much information about placements. But as I have heard from seniors, the level is good. I will try during my time here in college. I will definitely let others know later, as I don't think it is good to review something I don't know well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure overall is good both in college and Miranda’s Hostel. The library, DRC labs, medical facilities, and classrooms have very good infrastructure and facilities. The food in the canteen is good, but the same does not apply to hostel food (average – not too terrible and not too good). The Wi-Fi, like in most colleges and hostels, fluctuates a lot. Everything else in terms of infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but please don't expect teachers like in school here. Everything is very formal. The course curriculum is relevant according to me, but a little more practical and real-life things can be added. I haven't given any semester exam till now, but they are approaching in December. As much as I have heard, they are tiresome (don’t know about easy or hard) because you have to write 6–7 pages for a single answer, which can be challenging.
Other: I chose Political Science (H) because I find the subject very interesting. Miranda has one of the best Political Science departments in DU. The best thing is that you get to learn a lot, both academically and through the societies of the department. I think the thing that can be improved is the number of assignments given. It becomes hectic sometimes to manage classes (as we have to maintain a minimum attendance of 68%), societies, and personal preparation if we are preparing for any competitive exam. Seniors are like friends here, and one or another event keeps going on in college every day.

Becoming me at Miranda House: What this college actually caters to.
Placements: About my course, the strength is 120 people. It is one of the best courses in Miranda House. Usually, Miranda House has more humanities-oriented courses, and there is a placement cell in the college as well. The placements are mainly average, with a stipend of 4–6 LPA. Mainly, universities from abroad provide opportunities to students. From my course, most people did internships. I got to know that one student from our class even did an internship at the Parliament House. The top roles usually include policy analyst, bureaucracy roles, professors and researchers, journalists, etc.
Infrastructure: For my course, we have a good section in the library. The classrooms are well maintained, there are ACs, Wi-Fi is there, and good infrastructure is there by and large. In the college hostel, the mess food can be rated 3.5 out of 5. There is a medical unit as well, plus proper duty is done by the warden. The canteen serves good quality food at reasonable prices. There is also a separate sports department. NCC and other sports activities are carried out as well.
Faculty: The teachers are exceptionally experienced, qualified, humble, and friendly. They are the ones who help us through all the ups and downs. They are so sincere to their students that they plan every single lecture, every single reading that needs to be done, which is totally commendable. Also, the semester exams are not that difficult. If you study enough, it is easy to score good marks. Usually, the pass percentage is around 90% and above.
Other: I basically wanted to have an edge in the civil services exam, that's why I chose this course. The fests are one of the amazing things that are there. The people here are so supportive, loving, and creative, they are the best. Also, there are several seminars, sessions, and expert talks that are held often. The college also provides various awards and scholarships, which can be accessed by going through their website.

Affordable college which provides with extensive exposure opportunities.
Placements: Since I'm pursuing a B.A. in political honors. Placements are quite unusual but as per my experience, even in courses like economic honors, we are not able to grab big bids. We had amazing opportunities. Some extremely well-known companies like Uniqlo, KPMG, etc., visit the college. The highest salary package offered on campus is 21. The salary package offered off-campus is high. Miranda is the best to grab opportunities and exposure than packages.
Infrastructure: It has one of the most beautiful infrastructures of Delhi University. Everything is top-notch including Wi-Fi and labs. I'm currently enrolled in a hostel, and I would say I'm enjoying it all. It is an amazing experience with the food.
Faculty: To be honest, faculty members are very sweet but administrative works are often delayed. They are up to the mark. The course in itself is very vast and intellectual. The availability of taking SEC, VAC, and GE makes us prone to wider subjects making it much more intriguing. We have exams for 90 marks. Passing isn't really tough but attendance and internals are huge.

I am very satisfied with the college.
Placements: Students do not get any placements in our course, but they get placements in courses related to commerce like B.Com hons, eco hons, etc. Miranda House helps students excel in fields like civil services, journalism, politics, science, advocacy, and others related to political science.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Miranda House is one of the best in Delhi University. From lecture rooms to the library, every room is very spacious and ventilated. Lecture rooms can accommodate above 100 students. Grounds are huge and well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They not only help students with doubts but counsel them for their problems like staying away from home. Exams are not hard if students attend lectures and pay attention.
Other: Miranda House is worthy, and it is ranked second in NIRF. Students should do hard work in CUET.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Which is a better college for BA and BA (Hons) courses: Hindu College or Miranda House?
A:

The following table mentions a comparison between both these top colleges of DU for their undergraduate courses in the field of Arts and Humanities:

College Name

Hindu College

INR 52,680 - INR 52,770

INR 6.4 LPA

Miranda House

INR 42,480 - INR 51,240

INR 6 LPA

Based on the details mentioned in the above table, it can be concluded that both these colleges are equally good and candidates can go for any of the two options where they qualify for admission. However, there is a minute difference in between the course fee and salary that the BA/ BA (Hons) passouts get after completing this course. But the gap is too small to be considered in rating a college better than the other. Miranda7 Hindu College with other colleges here
