Loving my college because of the vibe and faculty.

Placements: It is good as most people receive good placements from the college and placement cell. 80 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 30 LPA-35 LPA. The lowest is 7 LPA. BCG, Salesforce, and similar companies recruit from my department. Top roles offered are research, analytics, policy-making, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great. We have enough facilities. We have good classrooms, Wi-Fi, and labs. They are also well-equipped. The mess and canteen food are good but a little expensive. There are facilities for sports and games and there is a medical room too.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They conduct tutorial periods too and they are so knowledgeable. Teaching quality is great. Our course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult but not too much. The passing percentage remains 36 percent.

Other: I am just interested in this course. I love it because of the discussions and questions.

The best facilities and infrastructure of college life.

Placements: The exact percentage is not disclosed by the administration. Highest package offered by my course is 24 LPA. The average is 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies are BCG, KPMG, and Salesforce. Most roles offered by my course are research, policy associate, education, and management roles.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college are very good and beneficial. There is a proper Wi-Fi connection. There are 3-4 labs, some of the classes also have a smart board for presentations. The library is very well organised. There are proper instructions for the shelves containing books. The hostel facilities are not too good. But other facilities like medical, sports, and games are good.

Faculty: The faculty of Miranda House are very professional, experienced, and well-trained. The curriculum is not very relevant but makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too tough. Almost all students clear the semester exams. The students also benefited from the semesters.

Other: This course will help me in achieving the future goals of civil services examinations.

Miranda House is a marvelous institution.

Placements: From Compliance Officer to Researcher and Data Analyst, many such jobs are offered to Philosophy students. From ICICI Bank to Deloitte and other such brand names, companies hire Philosophy students, making it a good enough branch if one wants decent placements. Miranda House placements, all in all, are quite good.

Infrastructure: Campus size can be a question, but not facilities. The auditorium, which has hosted many top leaders and has seating for over 1,000 people at a time. It is the first architectural feature of overall infrastructure that Miranda House possesses. Beautiful NCC lawns and a tennis court also give a Grand Slam feeling.

Faculty: Faculty is so good that I just keep bumping into them. The best part is that they never get irritated. In fact, they enjoy it when questions are thrown at them. The course has the best context for Philosophy students, as research is the core of our subject. The best part is that exams are quite easy at DU.

Other: Ours is the smallest batch size out of all the courses, and yet we have the best crowd on the campus.

Miranda House is so mesmerizing that I consider myself lucky to be studying here.

Placements: Philosophy is a research-based course. Therefore, our department placements are very few. Otherwise, Miranda House placements are second to none. Students of our college have bagged packages worth 20–23 LPA. The overall placement record of Miranda House is around 60%.

Infrastructure: For our course, the Arts Block is where our classes are held. There's a separate block for the library besides the departmental block. There are as many as three canteens on our campus. From snacks and beverages to entire meals, one can find it all. The basketball court is also very well maintained. It is a proper-sized court.

Faculty: All faculty members are good researchers. Even though I still consider myself a newbie, as I am only in my second semester. Faculty members give us research assignments. They believe in research-based studies, and that is how they teach too. They always bring something new to the table. My conversations with others have also become like that, and the influence they have on students is evident.

Other: Empirically, it is the most beautiful DU campus, with a crowd that is a live wire.

Our college is prettiest of all colleges. You will feel very safe, you can wear anything you want.

Placements: Philosophy department at Miranda House is very cheerful department and placements are also good. If you want to really get a placement you should be a part of placement cell from the very beginning and search for government internships as well.

Infrastructure: Our college is very beautiful with green lush everywhere. It's soothing to the mind and even you feel the safest Miranda. Our canteen is the best on whole North campus. Our hostel is very pretty as well and also has good-tasting food as I have heard about it from my friends. My department is very less chaotic and peaceful.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and kind. They are highly qualified with double Ph.D.s. If we talk about philosophy, it makes us understand the smallest of all things, which is the base of every creation. It provides us with the knowledge about universe, creation, god, etc. Teachers are very sweet, loving, and even the students of all three years are very helpful.

Other: Our college has one of the best fests, and every society is very active. My department also has a society named Happiness club, and as it's name says, happiness.

Review of Miranda House, University of Delhi.

Placements: It is a new course. Our batch has 20 students. This course has a good scope. They teach us very less, because research work is not much lucrative in our country. Many students opted for a master's degree or competitive exams.

Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best infrastructures. Many movie shootings are held in our college. Our college has 5 canteens. The food served in the canteen is good and healthy. Classrooms are non-air-conditioned.

Faculty: Our faculty members are qualified, but many of them lack effective teaching skills. Philosophy is a vast subject, and discouraging students from asking questions and engaging in healthy debates defeats the purpose of the subject. The exams are challenging, as they require students to memorise the elaborate text.

Placements: A lot of students get placed with the help of the Placement Cell Society of Miranda House. You get to work as an intern or even get placed based on your performance with big incorporate giant companies such as Amazon, Kashware, Microsoft, Google, and many more. There are many job roles like content writing, video editor, policy researcher, social worker, fundraiser, digital marketing, HR trainee, business development, brand marketing, research and branding, content production etc. Big companies offer 10,000-20,000 stipends, whereas startups may only provide certificates or up to 5,000 stipends. Approximately 40% of students from my course are working as interns in companies like Quantel, APLI, Ifortis etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but sometimes, it causes inconvenience since it fluctuates and connectivity is quite poor. AC in the library isn't quite functioning, which is disappointing as one should be able to read without any distractions, but the heat makes it unbearable. Classrooms are in fine condition.

Faculty: Some teachers are really student-friendly and that makes them approachable for any doubts. The teachers in Miranda are super qualified in their fields. Every course curriculum in Miranda makes a student industry-ready since Miranda not only focuses on academics but also on shaping a student's skills in all aspects. Semester exams are quite tough but manageable to pass.

Other: Honestly, I chose Philosophy because I wanted to study at Miranda. It was college over the course for me. But now that I'm enjoying the subject, even though it's challenging. The fun thing about studying Philosophy is that there is no right or wrong answer, and it allows you to see things from so many perspectives. If teachers wouldn't always focus on theory and take the students out on excursions related to the subject to get a better knowledge and create a fun learning environment for learning, I think that would improve the understanding capability of the students a lot. As they say, fests in Miranda House are the best. You get to dance your stress off, enjoy delicious foods, witness cultures and talents, enjoy visiting stalls with your friends, and meet celebrities. The beautiful green lawns with flowers are everything. You can lie down and enjoy its beauty.

I am satisfied with this college in all aspects.

Placements: Nearly 30% of my seniors are placed. The highest salary pacakge offered is 16.76 LPA, and the lowest salary pacakge offered is 7.57 LPA. Tech Mahindra, Top Hire, Deshaw and Co., are the top recruiting companies. Around 70% of students get internships. The top roles are HR, marketing, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities are good and the infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi is enabled, and there is two separate Wi-Fi for both the faculty members and students. Library has every book students need and they can spare how much time they can and classrooms are spacefull and good. The hostel is very good, and it provides good laundry, rooms, cleaning, and everything.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Teachers give students time every week, students have tutorial classes every week, and they will clear all the doubts at that time. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage is 35%, and the exam is normal, and the paper is average.

Other: I opted for this course because it is relevant to my Christianity and also it gives and makes students explore the world wide views. It makes sense for sure and it is best for gaining knowledge. Events and fests are good and I love the fests more and every fest is more important and students celebrate all the fests for sure.

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses.

Final Selection
Admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Selected list of admitted candidates would be displayed on the DU admission portal. Admission is confirmed only if online admission fee is paid with in the stipulated time. One candidate can take admission only in one course in one college at any given time.
