Awesome college. Go ahead.
Placements: Currently I am pursuing sanskrit honours from miranda house so I can tell about our seniors placement. Honestly I say in my course there are very less placements from college side and it is also for the people who want to go in teaching line or civil services. One major reason is that very less people in this generation wants to study this course because of less job opportunities. But who are genuinely interested in this course have many opportunities outside our country like Germany, France as a translator and in our country also they can become professor in a good college. But don't think it's a barrier or something if you have pursued sanskrit in graduation you can do anything you can change your stream go in management field, teaching line etc. Personally I felt this that's why I shared it.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our college is good. Labs, classrooms are maintained. Infrastructure is also appreciable. The food in mess and canteen is also good. But Wi-Fi doesn't work properly in campus and auditorium is there but without AC. But it can be managed. Overall it's a good college. You are lucky if you get this college.
Faculty: Yes the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They help you out in all situations. They are friendly as well. Yes the course curriculum is relevant. The level of difficulty in semester exams is medium to hard. Passing percentage is 40 in theory and in practicals individually.
Other: I chose this course because my percentage was not up to the mark. I don't have any option left. But I felt happy after studying this course. The best things about my course is that it teaches us about life and I don't think so any course teaches us about this. Events, fests and campus crowds all of these are awesome. Have many society for overall growth of a student.

It is not a good college.
Placements: I even registered myself in the placement cell. All they did was take the money. There was never any placement available, and if so, never for Sanskrit. I waited and checked thousands of times on the website, but never got anything. Teachers still call and ask what we are doing in life now, but we're still jobless.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are no better rooms given for the Sanskrit course. It was so suffocating that some students chose not to attend classes. Sometimes there are no chairs to sit on, or sometimes there is room for approximately 30 students, with maybe 6 or 8 benches. Labs are good. All the good facilities and rooms are given to other courses. The Sanskrit department charges extra for their departmental library. It provides books if you ask for any, but charges are compulsory. Teachers are helping though.
Faculty: Faculty members and the study system were fine. Some teachers were helping and some were not, as it varies from person to person. The course curriculum is perfect, and it's getting easier every year. They take tuition classes other than regular classes in which they work in small groups of 5 to 8 and are given little tasks to understand the topic better. So it was a good part.
Other: I was always interested in Sanskrit from the day I first got to know it in the sixth standard. So I chose it over my other favourite subject, English, because it was the only choice in school.

The best college of DU, where you can get the best education.
Placements: The placements in our college are good. Companies often visit our college and offer jobs and organise seminars. The percentage of placement is excellent. Our seniors had excellent placements, from other courses as well. Overall, the placements are excellent. Any student can easily get a job.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is marvellous. The college is known as the most beautiful college of North campus of Delhi University. Food provided in the canteen is awesome in terms of quality and taste. A variety of food items are provided in the canteen. Classrooms are spacious and well-furnished. There are separate departments for each course. Many classrooms are available. The library, labs and medical facilities are very good. Wi-Fi facility is good, and everyone can access it. The sports section is very good. There is a huge sports ground to play all kinds of sports.
Faculty: The teachers are very talented, friendly and helpful. They give their best to the students. Each course has many teachers. The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. Overall, a student can get the best education from this college.
Other: Miranda House's fest is awesome. The campus surroundings are very good. There are a lot of extracurricular activities.

Wasn't really pleasent experience.
Placements: Our college didn't provided placement for my course, and I wasn't in touch with any other course students. So I don't know about the packages offered. They'd only provide these things to Science or Maths etc. We weren't even informed about this, yes we saw on bulletin boards about it. But it was of no good for us.
Infrastructure: Our college has amazing infrastructure but sanskrit department is given the worst of all. Humid the smallest rooms in rainy season made few students sick while in class, that was the situation, we had 25-30 students, and room was enough for only 10-15, but we were not given bigger or better space.
Faculty: I'll explain my teachers. 1 sir, always humiliating random student, 1 MA'am just filling her duty and reading the syllabus, not caring if anyone understands it or not, 1 teacher soo strict and rude, students couldn't ask any questions. She shamed a blind girl too. 1 teacher would speak in very whispering to herself. They would provide notes only to their favorite students, and they'd never share it with class.

A:

The following table mentions a comparison between both these top colleges of DU for their undergraduate courses in the field of Arts and Humanities:

College Name

BA Fee Range

Median Salary (UG 3-year)

Hindu College

INR 52,680 - INR 52,770

INR 6.4 LPA

Miranda House

INR 42,480 - INR 51,240

INR 6 LPA

Based on the details mentioned in the above table, it can be concluded that both these colleges are equally good and candidates can go for any of the two options where they qualify for admission. However, there is a minute difference in between the course fee and salary that the BA/ BA (Hons) passouts get after completing this course. But the gap is too small to be considered in rating a college better than the other. Miranda7 Hindu College with other colleges here
