B.Sc. Biochemistry at mithibai college, Mumbai.

Placements: Placement cell is centralised and not specific to a course it field and hence the specification for a particular course can not be defined better than someone from the course itself. Speaking of biochemistry they offer training and internships for building a resume but don't allow you if you don't attend all training sessions personally I found that not so pleasing as it felt like they just wanted to reduce numbers.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good and the ammonites provided are really good. The library is really equipped with books on all subject matters and labs too have good equipments. The faculty is really helpful and kind most of the times they also go an extra mile to get the best out of us.

Faculty: The teachers in biochemistry department are highly qualified and subject matter experts. The in depth knowledge is really impressive and yet humble and accepting when they are unaware of a fact they confirm and get back to our query when 100% sure. Exams are divided in parts and analyse the understanding of an individual at frequent intervals and are mostly based on the understanding than the theory.

Satisfied because of facilities and faculty. Disappointed because of no placement.

Placements: 0% of the students were placed. We have no clue about the salary. No companies came. We don't know what were the top roles. We don't know what was the highest package. Nobody from the class got internship from our course in any company. We had no clue how the placement works like.

Infrastructure: Amazing infrastructure and classrooms. They were well lit always and very student friendly and very comfortable. There was also cleanliness around. AC was installed in most of the classrooms. Library was amazing. Desk and benches were too good and comfortable.

Faculty: It had amazing teachers. They were really qualified teachers. They were mostly Ph.D. holders. And the teaching quality was too good. The course curriculum was not 100% relevant. It doesn't make the students industry ready though. Gets you good score though.

Other: I liked the topic in the syllabus and thought I could relate to it more. Updated syllabus is Very much important. Something which too old and old and discarded techniques have to be studied which is pointless. Yes we did have our departmental fest and it was a beautiful journey.

The college provides the best holistic development.

Placements: Placements were an optional choice for students since most of the fresh graduates continued their education and pursued masters. Most of the students pursued research and clinical trials in the domains in immunology, inborn error of metabolism and plant physiology.

Infrastructure: The college is clean and hygienic. It has well-equipped sterilised labs with advanced technology. Lab assistants are very friendly and well-versed with the technicalities required to maintain safe and secure conditions in the lab. Quality of food served in the canteen is very good, and medical facilities are also available throughout the working hours.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are excellent qualified and have a very strong background in research. The course curriculum is also updated with respect to the industry standard. Industrial visits make the course more relevant and fun to learn. The whole team of biochemistry department, including Dr Nupur, Dr Sara, Dr Swati, Badal and Kaustubh Sir, is very hardworking and very passionate towards teaching.

Other: Biochemistry is a holistic course. It includes all fields of science like immunology, plant physiology, haematology, biostatics, microbiology, biotechnology, medicine, an inborn error of metabolism and many others. Also, the department encourages you to perform better and also excel not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities. Mithibai Colleges' Kshitj and department of biochemistry's Luminescence are a treat to attend.

Really good faculty, and the college is one of the top colleges in Mumbai.

Placements: About 85% of students get placed. The package is around 2–3 LPA. Internships are provided via email, and we need to choose them according to our choice. The top role as a biochemist is given for our degree. We have seminars regarding placements daily.

Infrastructure: All infrastructure, like AC, Wi-Fi, and classrooms, is entirely air-conditioned. The library has a huge space and a silent environment. Hostels are not available at our college, but everything else, like chemistry labs and all, is well-equipped and managed. Cleanliness is top-notch and good.

Faculty: My teachers are helpful and well-educated Ph.D. holders. It makes students industry-ready. The exams are difficult, and there is no ATKT system. Only one chance is given by the college to clear the exam after getting a KT. Attendance is also strict, with 75% required in each subject.

Other: I chose this course because the college specializes in the Science department and faculty.

There is a really good infrastructure, but none of the students knows about placements.

Placements: I don't know about the placements of our college. There is no information about salary packages and recruiting companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best here, and there is a very good canteen. Jitendra library is well air-conditioned, and more than 50,000 books are available from different genres. There is a bakery near the canteen where you can get cakes and pastries at a very affordable price.

Faculty: The course is of advance level. Teachers are very good here and experts in their teaching subject. Offline teaching mode is much better than an online mode.

Other: Our college organises a very good fest named Kshitij.
