National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, Calicut (NIELIT) was earlier known by the name DOEACC Society. It was established in the year 1989 under the aegis of the CEDTI. NIELIT Calicut has both formal academic programmes & industry-recognised certifications. NIELIT Calicut works under the affiliation of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Kerala & is recognised by the AICTE. The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology is known as an ISO certified college. In general, NIELIT has 56 centers located in different parts of India.
NIELIT Calicut has various training programmes & formal programmes available to help students to become professionals and build skills in IT & Electronics including MTech in Embedded Systems & Electronics Design Technology, PG Diploma, & several short-term courses. There is a research-level PhD programme available in 4 specialisations. NIELIT Calicut MTech admission is given to students basis the GATE entrance examination scores.
