NIT Mizoram review: peaceful campus and growing opportunities.
Placements: Placement of NIT Mizoram is good. 80 to 90% of students are placed. The average package is 8 LPA, and many companies are visiting the campus like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. This year, one student got an internship at Nvidia. Placement is improving year by year, and on-campus internships are being provided by companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at NIT Mizoram is decent and improving year by year. Classrooms are clean and well-maintained, and laboratories are adequately equipped for regular academic work. The library has sufficient books for students. Hostel facilities are basic but comfortable, with regular water and electricity supply. Wi-Fi is available but not working properly. The mess food quality is average and manageable. The campus is peaceful, safe, and surrounded by natural beauty, which provides a good environment.
Faculty: Faculty at NIT Mizoram are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and mostly supportive. Teachers are approachable and help students with doubts both inside and outside the classroom, focusing on core subjects along with basic industry exposure. However, students need to put in extra effort on skills to become fully ready. Semester exams are easy and based on lectures, assignments, and internal assessments. With regular study, exams are manageable.
Other: I chose this course because it was the last option for me. I think this course is good. I study related to my course and am improving. There is no permanent campus, and connectivity is not good.

A rapidly improving new gen NIT in Northeast India.
Placements: I can tell the placement happened here, and also good kind of placement. But it is limited to few companies and little to no tech giants. The placement percentage is exceptionally good. We just have to work really hard here because there is certainty that we will be placed but package depends on our hardwork.
Infrastructure: Hostel and its facilities are actually really good ofcourse it's an NIT but sometimes water issues are there. Some people may not like the food on some days of week. We have a restaurant down the hostel so hostel life is good. Doctor is available 24X7, and medical facility is actually free. There is a little Wi-Fi issue in hostel but in college it works really fine.
Faculty: Faculty members are really knowledge with almost all having Ph.D. from IIT/NIT. The curriculum is every bit relevant to modern requirements as well as for GATE and any engineering related government jobs. Semester exams are easy if we follow the teachers just remember to have above 7.

How life goes in NIT Mizoram.
Placements: Last year, more than 90 percent of students were placed. Right now, the highest package is 21 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average package is 9 LPA. Our top recruiting companies are Juspay, Vedanta, Adani Wilmar, etc. Many of our students get internships in companies and colleges like BIS, NTPC, NITs, and IITs.
Infrastructure: To be honest, our college doesn't have a campus, but we have proper labs, classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a library. Hostel facilities are good, with good maintenance. Geysers, fans, and beds are provided by the college. The food quality is good, but the taste is average. There is a medical help center that every student can access. Our college also encourages students to participate in sports events like Inter NITs and conducts a sports fest every year.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and teach very good. They are knowledgeable and always ready to clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant to our department, blending Mathematics, Physics, and Material Science very well. Exams in our department are not so difficult, and almost every student is able to pass, except for very few students. Around 90 percent of students pass exams.

Overall, National Institute of Technology is a good college for B.Tech.
Placements: At NIT Mizoram, around 90 to 95% of students got placements according to previous records. Life at NIT Mizoram is challenging and rewarding. Students are expected to work hard and maintain a good academic record. However, there are also many opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities and have fun.
Infrastructure: Extracurricular activities at NIT Mizoram have a vibrant student life. There are many clubs and organizations that students can join. Overall, it's a good college to consider if you are not getting other good colleges. Just go for it.
Placements: Placements in civil engineering are quite average. One can crack the placement if one maintains the college CGPA thereby increasing his chances of placement by almost 80 to 100%. About 50-60% of total students got placed in our college in this particular branch. Internship opportunities are good. I would say, almost everyone got it. One of our seniors in the civil branch grabbed a PPO offer of nearly 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, KEC, Alstom, and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: NIT Mizoram doesn't have it's permanent campus for now. We do feel its consequences. Different blocks are a bit far away so you have to travel quite changing blocks. This is the major lag of this college. Talking about classrooms, the size is small and not well-equipped even just feels like average sitting there. Labs are good and well-equipped. Professors guide us nicely there. Hostels are average. You will get basic facilities of course. But didn't expect much. The mess is average. We can survive with it. But this is how things are practically.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and well-experienced. They help students very energetically and responsibly. The courses are kept updated always depending on the market trends and requirements. College exams are neither too easy nor that difficult to ace one can crack them if he/she studies sincerely. There are few students who get a back. So you have to be kind and sincere.
Other: You get a scholarship based on caste named OBC NCL. We get less than 1 lacs. There is no tuition fee for SC and ST. For, Gen Ews, it is less than 1 lacs. A good amount of fests are held every year like technical fest, hackathon, cultural fest, freshers party, NCC, debate, painting competition, presentation, idea pitching, etc. In every batch, almost there are 30 to 35 students which are quite less because classrooms are not that big again.
