Vibrant campus life of NITC.

Placements: NIT Calicut offers decent placements. But the percentage of students getting internships is very low. The highest package is around 40 LPA, and the average package is around 10 LPA. CSE offers the highest placements for the students. Many top companies recruit students from NITC.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty organised and beautiful. But the faculty members in the lab are pretty outdated. Most of the equipments gives wrong measurements. Hostel facilities are very good. Food in the mess is also pretty good. Hostel is worth the money.

Faculty: Faculty members at NITC are well-experienced and educated. Most of them have industrial experience too. The course curriculum is updated every now and then so that students are learning up-to-date information which is very useful. In each semester, we have a lot of exams both practical and theoretical.

Other: I chose this course because this was what I could afford with my rank in JEE. The campus life at Nitc is top-notch. We don't have any restrictions on campus, and we have a lot of fests.

Placement is very good for the mechanical branch, but for production, it is not that good.

Placements: 22 out of 55 students got placed last year. GET and analyst roles were offered. Caterpillar, ExxonMobil, and ZS were top recruiters. The highest package was 13 LPA and the average package was 8 LPA. 50% of students are placed in this year. The lowest package is 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Hostel is 4/5. Since it is a government college, infrastructure is a bit old for 1st and 4th years, for 2nd and 3rd years, there is a new mega hostel. Wi-Fi is available in every hostel. Classrooms are very big. Library is very big and air-conditioned.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, but you have to study from YouTube itself, just before exams. Course curriculum is average, not tough, and not too easy and it makes students industry-ready. Teaching quality is average. Pass percentage is 95%.

Other: Fest is top-notch. Campus is also big and beautiful, you can prepare for government exams or CAT exam, side by side.

NIT Calicut: a short glimpse.

Placements: Almost 90% of the students got placed. The highest package is 55 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA and the average package is 14 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft and Google. Nearly 75% of students got internships, mainly in companies like Samsung.

Infrastructure: There are so many classrooms and different buildings for each department. There are also well-equipped and modern labs. There is also a great library with more than 1 Lakh books and with also a good collection of e-books. There are mainly 7 hostels on the campus.

Faculty: Almost 95% of the teachers have a Ph.D. as their educational qualification. The course curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to industrial needs. Semester exams are quite difficult. There are mainly 2 exams, mid-semester examination, and end-semester examinations.

Other: There are mainly two fests on the campus. One is the Science fest called ‘Tathva’ which is the largest tech fest in South India. And the other is a cultural fest called ‘Ragam’.

Review for National Institute of Technology Calicut.

Placements: The average package is around INR 7 lac per annum. Top roles included GET, Software roles, Analyst etc. The top recruiting companies include Hindustan Unilever Limited, Lam Research, Bajaj, Siemens, Nestle, Akash, Byjus, Base, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, PwC etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities include Wi-Fi, good classrooms, library, study rooms, labs, etc. The hostel is pretty good with various canteens. There is a health center which is free of charge for the students. Sports is given good importance here with various teams participating in the Inter NIT tournaments.

Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful. The course curriculum is pretty relevant and makes the students industry ready. Most of the courses include mini projects which help students to involve in team works. I am satisfied with its faculty members and placements.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 8 LPA. The campus placements are well managed and authorised by the training and placement team in this college.

Infrastructure: There are 9-10 hostels in this college. The infrastructure is good. The facilities are better. Wi-Fi is available. The food quality is decent.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful in our studies. They are highly qualified and help in bringing good capability along with the studies. There are many workshops and experimental spaces for the students.

It has a good campus life.

Placements: Few companies visit our college for production branch as comparatively for circuit branches such as computer science, ECE, and EEE. Around 40% of students got placed in this course. The remaining 20% of students opted for higher studies. The top recruiting companies are Bajaj, Siemens, Axis Bank, Exam-Winner, and FIITJEE.

Infrastructure: Hostels are the best. We are staying in a newly built hostel called the New Mega Hostel. It contains 8 storeyed floors with 6 blocks and around 1,800 students can accommodate easily. In our hostel, Wi-Fi is enabled. Hostels are built far away from our campus. Drinking water is available. The food quality is better. Groceries shops are available. It has a modern laboratory with advanced tech for students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They conduct interactive sessions for students. Individual assignments and group work are also conducted which can increase team morale of the group. The course curriculum is always updated according to changes. The new exam methods are approached by teachers rather than the conventional methods so that the students can face any type of situation at any time.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become an engineer. The best course of action is to take a master's in MBA as students could have some pre-requisite about management. Our campus life is the best. Fests named Ragam and Tathva are conducted in this college.

It is good but not as good as other branches in NIT Calicut.

Placements: Around 36-37 students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 19 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. The average salary package offered was 8 LPA. The top recruiting company is Deloitte. Few students got internships at Seimens, Bajaj, etc. The top roles offered are graduate engineering trainee, software development, product engineering, business analyst, sales trainee, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi is available in both hostels and classrooms. Our college has a digital library and a normal library. Different hostels are available for students and all facilities are good. Mess is decent and students could choose the mess they are interested in. A doctor is available on campus and ambulance service is always available. All types of sports are encouraged in our college. The infrastructure for the games is not good.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 90%. You have to study hard to get good marks.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Fests named Ragam and Tathva are conducted in this college.

I'm satisfied with this college.

Placements: Around 97% of students got placements in our college with an average salary package of 8 LPA. The minimum salary package is 6 LPA and the highest salary package is 17 LPA. Ola electric is the top recruiting company. Few students get internships. Top role offered is production control engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. All the required facilities are available. Library is huge and contains all the necessary books but the copies are less. Wi-Fi is available on campus. Hostel facilities are above average.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is frequently updated to make students industry ready. End-semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is above 85%. If students attend classes properly, they can easily pass the exams.
