The last date for the GATE 2024 registration was October 20 with late fees. The last date for GATE 2024 registration without late fees was October 12. GATE 2024 application form was available online on the IISc Bangalore official website. GATE 2024 registration link is gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The registration window opened on August 30, 2023. Candidates can apply for the GATE exam until the last date. Before filling out the GATE application form, it is advisable for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria. In case a candidate fails to fulfill any of the GATE exam eligibility conditions, then his or her candidature will be cancelled and he or she will not be able to download his or her GATE admit card for 2024. Candidates with a valid BE/BTech (all branches) degree or PG Degree in Science/Mathematics/IT/Computers/MCA from a recognised university can apply for admission. It is further also necessary that the candidate passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 65% aggregate for admission to CSE, ECE, and CB MTech courses. Additionally, for MTech (Research) in CSE, aspirants shall have secured at least 75% aggregate (5% relaxation to reserved categories).

Yes, IIIT Delhi offers MTech across different specialisations. The two-year course is divided into four semesters. All the courses are credit-based programmes. Admission to the courses is entrance-based followed by an interview round. The accepted entrance examinations are GATE, PGCAT-IIITD, and GAT-B. IIITD offer MTech courses in the streams of Computer Science & Engineering, Computational Biology, and Electronics and Communications Engineering.

As per the NIRF 2024 ranking under the “Engineering” category, IIIT Delhi ranks 85 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. The total fee for MTech in IIIT Delhi ranges between INR 3.7 lakh and INR 6 lakh. NIT Trichy MTech fee is INR 1.4 lakh. As per placement statistics, the median package is recorded to be INR 18.17 LPA for IIITD and INR 7 LPA for NIT Trichy. Hence, it can be concluded that the fee is higher at IIITD. It must be noted that the fee given for both institutes is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. But, this institute also has got a good ranking as per a recognised ranking body. Thus, if given a choice, IIIT Delhi is a better option than NIT Trichy.
