    Getting into the flagship programme of NIT Patna i.e. BTech requires passing JEE Main. The cutoffs are usually competitive due to large number of applicants and less no. seat availability. It may be challenging for General category candidates to get into popular branches such as CSE with a 95 percentile. However, aspirants belonging to reserved category or female candidates can get admission with a 95 percentile.

    To secure a place at NIT Panta, candidates need to secure a rank within the JEE Main cutoff range for their particular category. The cutoff was released for AI and HS quota students.

    Best MCA college according to me.
    Placements: In 2023, MCA is discontinued, but it started again in 2024. In MCA '23, there is 100 percent placement. The highest package is 23 LPA at Amdocs, the median package is 6.2 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA (this information I got from my seniors and faculty). Amdocs, SAP, Microsoft, Cisco, Deloitte, and many more companies are involved. Internships on campus are offered to 20–25 students out of 133 students. The top roles provided by recruiters are SDE and SWE.
    Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connection is fully provided within the campus and hostel. For electricity, there is 24/7 service. The library is old, and the seating area is limited. The canteen and mess are in average condition. Medical facilities are provided, but most of the time, the dispensary doctor is on leave. Sports activities are good according to others, and for different sports, there are separate courts. Our college area is small, but the availability of facilities for sports is adequate. The quality of food in the hostel is not very good; according to me, it is average.
    Faculty: The faculty is among the best. NIT Patna is always known for its experienced and renowned faculty, especially in the CSE department, where the top 2 percent of scientists taught us. The best part of our college is that they provide us with practical classes more than theory classes, which makes us more practically engaged. Semester exams are conducted at a slightly tough level, but we pass by studying two hours daily.

    Decent facilities and supportive academic environment at NIT Patna.
    Placements: As a current student pursuing my MCA in data science at NIT Patna, this is the first time when NIT Patna has introduced MCA for 3 years, and last it was for 2 years with an average package range from 6-8 LPA, with the highest of 30 LPA, and 100% of students got placed.
    Infrastructure: Lab facilities are well-equipped with modern equipment and tools, which makes practical learning highly efficient. Hostel rooms are spacious and well-maintained, but they put 4 students in a room of 3 students. However, the Wi-Fi facility is quite good. Classrooms are equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors and sound systems.
    Faculty: The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, striking a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. The exams are fair, and with constant study, most students find them manageable. The teaching quality is decent. Most professors are knowledgeable and approachable.
    Other: According to my NIMCET rank, I was getting this college but this college provides a good platform for academics and extracurricular activity.

    College is absolutely good for study.
    Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed, and the rest go for higher studies or civil services. The highest package offered by Google is 60 Lacs per annum, and the lowest is 6 Lacs per annum by L&T. Top companies include Google, Texas, Amazon (intern), Accenture, etc.
    Infrastructure: All facilities are available here for students as well as professors. There is no doubt regarding the facilities, but at some points, medical facilities are not available on campus, and the ambulance service is not well-maintained. For this, I would give 2 stars for medical facilities. The campus is also very small.
    Faculty: All professors are well-qualified and knowledgeable, making it a great place for study. I am pursuing my master's, and the faculty is really good and supportive. All professors give their best and try to provide the best they can, focusing on technical skills and real-life problem solving.
    Other: This course is good at NITP. They are providing two streams for MCA—one in Data Science and Informatics, and another in AI & ML.
