The overall review is that college life is very good and fantastic.

Placements: The overall placements are around 65% to 70%. The lowest package is around 6 LPA. The highest is around 25 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA - 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Naraina, Allen, Virtusa, Axtiria, PW, PhonePe, etc. There are mainly three fields for placements like Ed-tech, data science, and SDE.

Infrastructure: IIT Dhanbad offers 393 acres of campus. All the hostels are well maintained. They provide proper hygiene and cleaning. The food quality is also good which is provided in the hostel mess. The menu gets changed every month according to season. Security is also maintained for students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. If you need any help you can talk to them in class or after the class. The course curriculum is very good and related to placements and for those who want to pursue higher studies. The course is a little bit difficult but you can perform good in exam if you study regularly.

Other: I am interested in exploring and learning about computer science. The course offers a perfect combination of mathematics and computing knowledge which is needed very much now-a-days. The course is a little bit difficult, and these difficulties should be removed.

The best place to create memories with a career.

Placements: The placement record for our branch is decent, with 52% of students placed last year. The highest package was 14 LPA, and the average package was around 8-9 LPA. Some companies that recruit from our course include Axtria, Virtusa, and Turning. Internship opportunities are limited for our course, but you can opt for off-campus internship opportunities. Top roles like SDE and Data Scientist are offered in our course.

Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and Asia's second-largest library are all quite good. All the facilities are provided for our course, including wi-fi access all around the campus and good hostel facilities. However, the mess food is not good at all, and you will get bored with it after a few days. There is a health center on campus, and for sports, there are two outdoor grounds and an indoor ground, as well as a gym.

Faculty: The faculty are highly qualified, and many of them are from prestigious foreign universities. Some professors are very strict and follow the course structure rigidly. Overall, the coursework is good but not very challenging. There are two exams and two quizzes each semester, and the grades are based on relative grading. The pass percentage is quite good, and you would have to do very poorly to fail.

Other: I chose Mathematics and Computing because of the placement opportunities it offers. The best thing about my course is that it allows me to pursue a career in the IT field. I really enjoyed my campus life at IIT Dhanbad. The campus is wide and full of greenery, and I had a great experience studying there.
