My Overall Mediocre Experience .
Placements: In our department, it was 70-80% placement last year. The highest package was 52 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nutanix, Finacle, and some Japan-based companies. So far, from the college, less than 5 people have gotten internships via the college. We have the Atul Incubation Centre too, in which many startups work, and they also offer internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: We have pretty good labs and classrooms, but they don't turn on the AC in class, which is a major drawback in Karkala. Wi-Fi is simply for the sake of it. It's not at all fast for others to use. Only Ethernet cables are fast. The library is very old and compact with very bad librarians. The hostel is average in terms of infrastructure and food. The food is mediocre. It's a coupon-based system.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, but most of them are just not updated to the current trend. They still teach what they learned in the 90s. No hands-on learning in the curriculum, and if there’s a hands-on activity, none will be done by our faculty members. No, it doesn’t make us industry-ready, of course. Internals are pretty easy, but semester-end exams are pretty average. Most of them pass.
Other: I chose Information Science at the beginning because I didn’t get CS. Now I'm happy with my course since I have a strong passion for security-related things, and also, the IS curriculum has many subjects related to that, which are not in Computer Science. Incredia is the yearly main fest held in our college, which is pretty good.

One of the best colleges.
Placements: We have 100% placements in our college for every course. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. We even have International placements like for Japanese country. They even teach students in Japanese language which helps for our placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by hostel are extremely nice. They provide varieties of food for tiffin, lunch, and dinner. We have free Wi-Fi facility in our hostel. Our warden takes care of everything nicely. They even celebrate all festivals in the hostel so we will not miss our home.
Faculty: Every lecturer is well-qualified and highly intelligent. We are very much satisfied with their problem-solving and teaching skills. We are able to learn new skills that are very essential for the placements and will help us to solve many problems.

NMAMIT: Review by a final year student.
Placements: The highest package is 42 Lacs this time, & only one got that too for the testing role. Average package is 3 Lacs. The lowest can be less than 1 lacs as well. They promise 100% placement before admission. But it's false totally. Now, as the recession is going on, they are sending their students to Japan as cheap labour. Don't fall into this trap. Placement management behavior is the worst.
Infrastructure: The course is old-school type. They focus on academics, not skills. If you want to get skilled, you have to get it on your own. Hostel: I'd give the rate in minus. Bad cleaning facility, bad food (for North Indians), worse accommodation (monkeys come anytime, too many wild insects), and the worst hostel management.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are not properly skilled in teaching only. I don't know who made them the faculty. They can't focus on industrial skills. But academic subjects only they can't teach properly. The course includes all subjects related to computer science for example, DBMS, OS, CAD, CD, TOC, etc.
Other: It's not worthy. I won't be suggesting any North Indian to choose this college.

You will not get a crazy college life. But it's good.
Placements: I am from the information science branch and up to 60% of students get placed from our branch and overall placement is 70%–75%.
The highest package in my college is 51 lacs and the lowest is 3 lacs.
Companies like IBM, Oracle, Sony, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, etc., and also some Japanese companies come to our college.
Roles like SDE, SRE, and consultant are offered.
Infrastructure: For every branch, colleges provide AC classrooms. There are different labs for different courses. Each department has their own library and a common central library.
There are two hostels: PG boys hostel (in case of UG only 1st year get room in this hostel) and boys main hostel. The boys main hostel has 5 different blocks.
There are two messes: north and south.
Their are two types of rooms: double beds with attached bathrooms and triple beds with no attached bathrooms.
The hostel gate will close at 9 pm for boys and at 7 pm for girls.
You will get wifi from 6 pm to 11:59 pm.
Faculty: Except for some teachers, the rest are helpful and knowledgeable. They will help you in case you face difficulties.
1st year you have to study subjects like physics, chemistry, maths, biology, etc.
From second year onwards you have DSA, computer networks, cryptography, Network Security, Machine learning, cloud computing, etc.
You have 3 midterm semester exams, 3 tasks and 1 semester exam. Out of 3 first 2 MSE marks will be considered and in case someone misses the exam for some reason or has less than 20 marks, including marks for MSE1, MSE2 and all 3 tasks, then you have to give MSE3.
Other: Every year there will be 1 fest named Incredia.
There are many clubs you can join.
One major drawback of this college is that it's 40 min far from city.

It is the best college to discover ourselves.
Placements: CSE and ISE branch students got placed in companies. Most of them got placed with a salary package of 6 LPA - 7 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 55 LPA by Microsoft. The average salary package offered ranges between 8 LPA - 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA by Infosys. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Accenture, Mindtree, DXC Technologies, TCS, Amazon, Twilio, Microsoft, and some other Japanese companies like Nutanix. Top roles offered are developer, technical consultant, networks engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. Some buildings are old, but new buildings have been constructed with the best facilities. Wi-Fi is available in some labs, but the network isn't so good. The library has great books by great authors. The hostel is not so good. The hostel rooms are better. The food served in the hostel is not tasty, but we get tasty food once or twice a week. Laundry has been added recently to the hostel, but we have to pay for it. A first aid box is not available in the hostel, but in case of an emergency, an ambulance is available to go to the hospital. The food served in the hostel is better and provides a variety of food. Our college gives much importance to sports.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and friendly. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. Our HOD is good and extremely supportive. They conduct very interactive classes. The course curriculum is very old and doesn't play many roles in the industry. Our college is affiliated with VTU. After the NEP policy, our college came under NITTE University, so the syllabus has changed, and now it is amazing. Teachers teach us as per the need of the industry. Semester exams and final semester exams are good. Only a few students fail exams. If you study well, you can score more than 8 CGPA easily.
Other: I opted for this course because it is the best department at NMAMIT. The best faculty, the best HOD, and the friendly atmosphere gave me enough reason to make this decision. CSE ISE is a general bachelor. It would be better if there is a specialised bachelor's like AI or machine learning or cyber security. Every week, there are more than 3 events including technical and non-technical. Our college has many clubs and provides many opportunities. We have 4 days of Incridea every year. Extracurricular activities are extremely high, and everyone has a chance to get an opportunity. The campus surroundings are not so great. There are no good restaurants or places to visit, and people are extremely orthodox. Karkala is the nearest small town, but there is nothing much to see. Manipal or Bangalore is an hour's way, and many buses are not available on Sundays or holidays. Many talented students reached the national level in sports. Our college supports students who are good at sports.

It is one of the top colleges in Karnataka.
Placements: I am currently in my 1st year, but the placements are good. My seniors got above-average packages. This time, the highest package offered is 44 LPA which is good. We have full-time placement guidance. The team Abhyuday handles placements, and they are kind and very helpful.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are the best. We have 2-sharing rooms with attached bathrooms and a choice of north and south Indian mess. The infrastructure is awesome since our hostel building is new. Rooms are spacious and well-designed. Balconies are available if you need fresh air.
Faculty: I would say that the faculty are decent. I think it will be the same in all the colleges, even IITs.

It is a good college for CS, IS, and ECE.
Placements: Almost everyone in IS and CS branch gets placed here. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA. Some of the companies like TCS, Nautanics, Walmart labs, VMware, etc., visited the campus for placements. Many students got internships in various companies, including those which were startups by our own college pass outs. Mechanical, civil, biotech and all do not get good placements.
Infrastructure: Our college is filled with all sorts of facilities such as a huge library, dedicated sports centre, auditoriums, and various labs. Most of the classrooms are air-conditioned. The hostel is very good and fully equipped with Wi-Fi. Food is also decent. Walking from the main boy's hostel to college takes about 10 minutes.
Faculty: All our faculty members are very well educated with many years of experience. All of them are very helpful and will clear any doubts. The course curriculum is definitely updated almost every year based on the industry requisites. This year, we started having electives based on machine learning, artificial intelligence, IoT, and robotics.
Other: Overall, our college is above average and helpful to students. Especially the CS and IS branches are very good. We organise a fest named Incredia every year.

NITTE Engineering college is a very good college to study in.
Placements: The college provides very good opportunities for students. More than 100 companies visit our college and offer very good packages. Our college offers us good training on how to crack the interview, and the training is really useful. MNCs like Infosys visit our college and recruit more than 100 students each year. Companies are categorised as dream companies and super dream companies. If your CGPA is good,i.e., above 8.25 CGPA, you can sit for dream companies, and if you get an offer from a dream company, then you can apply for a super dream company. Software giants like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Cognizant, Microsoft, VMWare, Infosys, Oracle, IBM and Accenture have already visited our college. Overall, NITTE offers very good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus has a huge library with books, journals, newspapers, textbooks of the latest editions, and previous year question papers for students. We've separate labs for IS and CS departments. There are more than 200 PCs, and that too, are very good ones. There are separate labs for the electrical and electronics department. The college provides us with free internet facilities, and its speed is good. Classrooms are very spacious, and each can accommodate up to 100 students. Each classroom is air-conditioned which is very useful during the summer season. There is a huge stadium where we can play football, cricket etc. It also has a synthetic track and locker facilities for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified, and they have good teaching skills. They are knowledgeable and hold many degrees like PhD, M.Tech, MS etc. Teaching methods are good. Teachers use projectors and show us live examples related to the working of each machine. They all encourage us to do projects and guide us really well. The student to faculty ratio is good. The course curriculum is helpful.
Other: Each department conducts at least one event per week. Our college fest is called Incredia which is conducted in the even semesters. Surroundings of our college are really clean. The campus is eco-friendly. Many extracurricular activities are conducted in the college. There are many scholarship facilities for students.
