Our campus is good with a healthy environment.

Placements: The average salary package is offered to students by companies. If you are trying for top corporations, then it is quite rare. Science department students have less chance to get placed in good companies. Computer science related branches are good to get placements.

Infrastructure: A lab building of the science department is good. There are not many CCTVs in our college. We have good facilities like Wi-Fi, an air-conditioned reading room, smart rooms, etc. The hostel is good. There are 2 hostels for boys and girls on campus and extra 2 hostels outside the campus for 1st-year boys. The hostel provides good food. The infrastructure of our college is average.

Faculty: The present-day curriculum does not suit the new education policy, but reforms are being made. Exams are conducted strictly and on time. The question paper pattern is recently changed to include the complete syllabus. Question papers and checking are done by our faculty members.

Other: Our college conducts fests and cultural programs. Sports competitions are organised in our college for cricket, badminton, volleyball, basketball, and football.

Review of College of Engineering and Technology, Biju Patnaik University of Technology.

Placements: I am from 2014-2019 batch, I have done my post-graduation from CET. Placements are much better than other colleges, but for our branch, only a few companies visited for placements. Internships are offered. The highest salary package offered in our course is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Almost all students got placed.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was unlimited, and the best to upload and download and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostels are good, and infrastructure is also good. I don't know about the food served in the hostel, but I have heard it's manageable. The college has a huge ground, but due to lack of maintenance, it's been the worst.

Faculty: As it's a government college, so don't expect very good teaching quality. However, teachers are well-experienced and will surely guide you if you are willing to be guided by them. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready as students have to do everything on their own.

Other: I have chosen this course because I was interested in computing and math was a bone for me. Fests and events conducted are the best and students enjoy them.

It is the best college for engineering in Odisha.

Placements: Students are admitted through JEE Main and OJEE. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, including many start-ups often visit our college for recruitment. The salary package offered is approximately 4 LPA. Meritorious students get internships in reputed institutions like IMMT, NISRR, IIT, etc.

Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is available in both college and hostel. Labs are average, and all instruments are not available. Classrooms are moderate but not up to expectations as it is BPUT's number 1 college. The library is good, and all basic facilities are available, including a reading room.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and all are PhD holders, but all teachers are not good at teaching. The teaching method is theory-oriented, but students are not ready for industry. So experiment-oriented teaching should be implemented by teachers. Otherwise, everything is good.

Other: I am interested in physics since schooling. M.Sc. physics has a lot of scope in future. Normally after M.Sc. physics, students have to do PhD and end up being a professor in colleges. Students have to crack NET or GATE. In our college, the course is mainly theory-oriented, and a lot of emphases should be given in experiments because you cannot learn physics without experiment. A lot of events, annual fest and other extracurricular activities are conducted every year. Scholarships are also provided to meritorious and needy students.
