Campus can do more than expected.

Placements: Every year, half of the batch or less than it gets placed. The highest package offered is 8–9 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, and other startups recruit every year. From my batch, only 1% of students go for internships in Onebill and CTS. Roles such as Software Developer, SDE Trainee, Business Executive, Hardware Analyst, System Engineer, and Software Tester are offered by companies.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good for attending classes, but there is no proper Wi-Fi connection anywhere on campus. The library is maintained and accessible to all students. Wi-Fi in the hostel is also not good, and the food quality is average. The food facility is good after the opening of the new canteen. Sports activities are conducted frequently on campus.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and of great help to students and possess enough knowledge to cover the syllabus. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make students ready for placements and getting job offers. The syllabus definitely needs an upgrade. The sem exams are average, and the pass percentage is 35%.

PEC is the perfect place for learning things at the same time living college life at its best.

Placements: Placements for our batch will be starting around June-July 2023. For the current final year batch about 75% of the students got placed in several top companies like ZOHO, HCL, TCS and many more. This is much lesser than 2022 batch. The highest package is around 11L per annum. Companies like cognizant, wipro, sapient, saint gobain and many more visit each year. Students who did offline internship had higher chances of getting placed in top companies and in better roles.

Infrastructure: There are no cons about classrooms and library. The classrooms are really large and clean with projectors and ethernet facilities. PEC has Wi-Fi all over the campus, but it is really hard to get good signal. Each laboratories are technically highly updated. The library has thousands of books. Reference books are available in multiple copies to help many students use them. Canteen is a bit old and rusty, the tables aren't that good in condition but the food is good. There is comparatively lesser options in healthy foods. There's a dispensary in the campus. Basketball court, a big ground are available in the campus.

Faculty: PEC is known for its friendly staffs and faculty members. Some teachers are very friendly that they would talk to you like they're your own friends. IT's hod sir is the coolest one here. Some teachers are very strict in the class, they do not skip coming to the class, classes are regular. We have 3 internal tests conducted here from which best 2 is considered for evaluating total internal marks for the subject added with attendance and assignments. The semester exams are pretty strict, there's no way students can cheat so the results are legits. Pass percentage depends on the subject. More than 80% of the students pass the exams. Since our campus life is fun and we have alot of freedom, we ourselves become pretty sincere during exam time.

Review of Pondicherry Engineering College - PEC.

Placements: Our college has a good placement record. Every year, nearly 80% of students get placed. The guidance provided by the training and placement cell is pretty good. In the previous year, the highest package offered was 12 LPA. Almost every year, the average package offered is 5.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is somewhat satisfactory. This college is completing almost 40 years of its establishment. So, the buildings and roads are somewhat old. But departments like CSE, IT, and ECE have good interiors. This college area has a signal problem. Only Airtel and BSNL have good network. The college has Wi-Fi facilities. The college has a canteen, complex, dispensary and excellent sports grounds.

Faculty: This college has a good number of experienced faculty with an experience of more than 30 years. This curriculum offers good subjects which are relevant to the course. Semester exams are pressure-free here. Almost 90% of students clear their exams every time.

Other: I am studying B.Tech 3rd year in information technology. I completed my 1st year in online mode due to the pandemic. But in 2nd year, we had offline classes. I faced some difficulties adapting to the curriculum. Later, my faculty helped me to do well. Apart from studies, this college conducts many events like PECOFES. This is a huge campus of 250 acres filled with natural beauty, and most of the campus is filled with trees. The college conducts sports and extracurricular activities like contests regarding arts, dance, singing, etc.

The college is good with good infrastructure and helpful faculty members.

Placements: More than 90% of our class got placed in different companies. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest salary package is 3.5 LPA, and the average salary package is 7.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Amadeus, Dell, etc. More than 50% of students got internships. Our training and placement center provides information to us to get placed in reputed companies.

Infrastructure: Our college facilities are good. Our classrooms are clean and neat. Our labs have air-conditioners. Wi-Fi is poor. Our department has no network and Wi-Fi. Our library is calm and good. The hostel is average and the canteen food is tasty. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are good. Every year, we celebrate a sports day.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. The course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not tough. The pass percentage is above 70%.

Other: I chose IT as I love to work in IT companies. There are a lot of events conducted in the college and they are enjoyable.

I am satisfied with placements of our college in 2022.

Placements: Around 70% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, TCS, CTS, Zoho, Wipro, Capgemini, Kaar, Kantar, Dell, and Amadeus. All students get internships. Top roles are offered in testing and automation.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are fully furnished. They have projectors and Wi-Fi facilities. Each laboratory has around 30 systems in working conditions and air-conditioners are also available. The library has many books which we need for reference and students can borrow them for 14 days. The hostel is good and the food quality is average. There is a dispensary for medical emergencies and PIMS hospital is nearby. There is a huge playground with all facilities. Sports are highly encouraged in this college.

Faculty: The syllabus is good to gain knowledge. Since it is a government college, you do not depend upon the staff members. You will have plenty of resources online so you can use them. You will gain knowledge in this college. Our course curriculum is convenient and relevant. It also makes students ready for interviews. Semester exams are medium. The pass percentage is 60%.

Other: I choose information technology because of its career opportunity. The best thing is that you can easily get a job. The only thing that could be improved is that many projects can be reduced. There are many events. Each department conducts departmental functions, college days, and sports days. Each club also organised its functions. There are many exposures to competitions and a lot of networking. Scholarships are provided by the government for economically weak students.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure, facilities and faculty.

Placements: For the batch 2019-2023, lots of companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Zoho, Capgemini, Cognizant, HCl, LTI, Bounteous, Infosys, IBM, Deloitte, Dell, etc., came here. They offer jobs to eligible students. About 100% of placements are provided for eligible students.

Infrastructure: Pondicherry Engineering College provides free Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library for students. In the hostel, the food is good. Drinking water facilities are good. Dispensaries also available for medical emergencies.

Faculty: Almost all the teachers are doctorate holders. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and some are guest faculty members. Their teaching quality is understandable. The curriculum is basic and relevant to the industry. The pass percentage is a minimum of 50% in each subject.

Other: Scholarships are available in our college.

Good to be a good academic guy on own interest in decent departments.

Placements: About 70% of the students have got placed in our batch with a minimum salary of 2.75 LPA and 25 LPA. The average salary of this year was increased from 4 LPA to 4.7 LPA this year. Top recruitment companies this year were PayPal, HP, Qualcomm, TCS, Accenture, Zoho etc. The top role offered in our course according to my knowledge as Training and Placement representative is Cloud Automation Engineer in HCL. Almost 15% of the students have got Intern on campus and many got intern outside the campus in companies such as Qualcomm, HP, Zoho, Muragappa and some of Academic Universities.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi in our campus is provided with nice where we get an average of 30-40 Mbps per peer. Labs in our department are well maintained and some of the labs have low configuration systems. Classrooms in our department are equipped with projectors and a smart board. Library have plenty of books which are relevant and trendy books of academics. I have been in hostel as I'm from other state, to be frank the rooms and toilets degrades year by year. Mess food will be good once in a blue moon. Even we pay special bills there we can't question for quality and quantity as those workers are local people. We can see lot of bias there. Sports and games are self interest and new canteen is opened recently which is better than old one. There is a dispensary inside college where we can have free medical facilities of low budget and for major things we can go to PIMS which is very near by.

Faculty: Almost all the teachers are qualified with Ph.Ds in all the departments. In our department there are many teachers with good knowledge and very friendly and helpful. Infact IT is the student's friendly department in our college. Curriculum is very equal with CS but I don't know what some of the company people found to not to take us. It's been upgrading for new University batches and teachers have been trained with lot of workshops these days for those subjects. As I have experienced and getting reviews by juniors and facilities the curriculum is being changed for industry ready.

Other: I like Engineering and computers according to my JEE Mains rank I got to be in IT. But I really loved it. Yes there is bit difference between CS and IT, but at the end of the day I'm learning both on self interest. I have been into many clubs in our college which had helped me to shape my career. To be frank fests are just for Tamil people. Scholarships are provided for people indeed and for local people there is no tuition fee. Some of the departments will fund toppers. Our course have been improving for my juniors. Campus crowd, it's seriously depends on how you like to be. Extracurricular and co-curricular are there but occasional.

Pondicherry Engineering College is the best for pursuing engineering.

Placements: Around 80% of the students from our class got placed. The salary package offered within Pondicherry was 12 LPA, and the maximum salary package offered by Amazon was 27 LPA. Companies like TCL Tech Mahindra and Amazon are the top recruiters of our college. Students are offered roles like core programming, SQL, design, structures, etc. In our course, the highest salary package offered was 27 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA and the average salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. Almost 80% of the students were placed in companies like Aricent, Amazon, TCS, Tech Mahindra, LinkedIn, etc.

Infrastructure: The campus has a good environment. Wireless Fidelity is available all over the campus, and laboratories are maintained regularly by assistants. Every classroom has a projector, which makes students understand easily. Sports play a variety role in PEC. Each department competes with each other, and the college also awards a trophy for the winning department.

Faculty: In PEC, associate assistant, doctorates and guest lecturers are available. They would teach in English, which is easily understandable. Since the college is in the top 50 colleges, students from other states join this college for placement activities. Students are well-trained, and they don't require any struggle to work with companies.

Other: I have chosen this course because I was interested in IT filed. The college needs to include trending computer languages in our course. Events, fests, etc., were good for namesake.
