Yes, R.V. College of Engineering offers M.Tech courses for two years. The college offers several specialisations in M.Tech courses. In addition, to get admission into an M.Tech course, candidates are required to complete their BE/ BTech degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 45 % for SC and ST category students. 

Qualification for M.Tech in RV College of Engineering is pass in BE/BTech or equivalent degree with minimum aggregate of 50%. It is 45% for SC/ST candidates. Duration of M.Tech programme is 2 years. Selection for M.Tech admission can be based on PGCET also known as Post Graduate Common Entrance Test,  GATE commonly known as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or college level entrance exam.

The list of the documents to be submitted at the time of the application process,  and to carry some of the documents at the time of registration/ reporting to college for admission to the M.Tech course are: 

• PGCET rank sheet or GATE scorecard
• 10th, 12th and graduation certificates/marksheets
• Transfer and Migration Certificates for students from outside Maharashtra state
• Aadhaar Card
• PAN Card
• Passport-size photographs and stamp-size photograph.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Seat Allotment Results have been released up to Round 2 for RVCE admission to BE course. According to the RV College of Engineering cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged between 242 and 17630. The most competitive specialisation has been B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 242, followed by B.E. in Information Science and Engineering with a 360 rank for the General category students. In terms of the highest salary, BE emerged as the top branch with the salary of INR 67 LPA. The highest average salary was also recorded in the BE brach, it stood at INR 15.24 LPA. The number of students selected in BE ans offers made to BE students during RVCE placements 2025 was also the highest. The college also recorded a large count of companies for recruiting the BE students.

RVCE admission for all UG and PG courses is entrance-based. At the UG level, RV College of Engineering offers a four-year BE across 10+ specialisations. For admission, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility set by the institute and must appear for one among KCET,  COMEDK,  JEE Main or any other national-level/ state-level entrance exam.

RVCE cutoff 2023 for admission to the BTech course is through COMEDK Seat Allotment result. Considering the RVCE Round 1 cutoff, the closing ranks for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 169. BE CSE can be considered as the most competitive specialisation because of the most competetive rank of 169 as compared to other specialisations. In 2022 and 2021, the R1 closing rank for RVCE for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 299 and 225, respectively. Analysing the previous year's cutoff, RVCE has witnessed an decreasing trend for the B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering course for the General category students.
