The list of the documents to be submitted at the time of the application process, and to carry some of the documents at the time of registration/ reporting to college for admission to the MCA course are: 

• Original Admission Order issued by KEA/ Management
• Class 10 & 12 Marksheet 
• Graduation Marksheet
• Original Transfer Certificate 
• If the student has qualified other than Karnataka state, they have to submit an original Migration Certificate 
• Photocopy of students' Aadhar Card 
• Valid score card of entrance examination, etc. 

RV College of Engineering has the recorded of offering good placements to its BE and MTech / MCA students. The placement rate recorded during BTech CSE placements in 2024 was 75% (placement 2024 was ongoing at the time the page was updated). Earlier, the CSE placement rate in 2023 and 2022 was 93% and 97%, respectively.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Seat Allotment Results have been released up to Round 2 for RVCE admission to BE course. According to the RV College of Engineering cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged between 242 and 17630. The most competitive specialisation has been B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 242, followed by B.E. in Information Science and Engineering with a 360 rank for the General category students. RVCE cutoff 2023 for admission to the BTech course is through COMEDK Seat Allotment result. Considering the RVCE Round 1 cutoff, the closing ranks for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 169. BE CSE can be considered as the most competitive specialisation because of the most competetive rank of 169 as compared to other specialisations. In 2022 and 2021, the R1 closing rank for RVCE for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 299 and 225, respectively. Analysing the previous year's cutoff, RVCE has witnessed an decreasing trend for the B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering course for the General category students.
