RV College of Engineering UG, PG Courses 2025

Known to offer various UG and PG programs across Engineering and Technology, the college offers students BTech, MTech and MCA programmes. Rashtriya Vidyapeeth College of Engineering (RVCE) admission 2023 for all UG and PG courses is entrance-based. Considering the RVCE Round 1 cutoff, the closing ranks for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 169. BE CSE can be considered as the most competitive specialisation because of the most competetive rank of 169 as compared to other specialisations. In 2022 and 2021, the R1 closing rank for RVCE for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 299 and 225, respectively. Analysing the previous year's cutoff, RVCE has witnessed an decreasing trend for the B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering course for the General category students.

The R.V. College of Engineering offers the MCA course for a duration of over two years, divided into four semesters, and offered in full-time mode. To get admission into MCA at R.V. College of Engineering candidates must complete their graduation specifically in  BCA/ UG in CSE/ BSc/ BCom/ BA with Maths. Additionally, candidates must qualify Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT entrance exam to be considered for admission. 

The consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts three rounds of COMEDK UGET counselling for admission to the BE/ BTech courses. The Round 1 of the Seat Allotment is out for different categories, including General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD. COMEDK Round 1 cutoff is being held for both general merit and Hyderabad Karnataka region candidates. However, round 2 will be conducted for Hyderabad Karnataka region students only. RVCE admission for all UG and PG courses is entrance-based. At the UG level, RV College of Engineering offers a four-year BE across 10+ specialisations. For admission, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility set by the institute and must appear for one among KCET,  COMEDK,  JEE Main or any other national-level/ state-level entrance exam.

The course-wise average salary has been disclosed. The RCVE average package 2025 for BE stood at INR 15.24 LPA. For M.Tech and MCA courses, the average package offered was INR 11.24 LPA and INR 8.94 LPA, resoectively.

The branch-wise placement data has been disclosed. The highest salary offered was INR 67 LPA and was made to CSE students. Branches like AIML, EEE, ECE, ME recorded the highest salary of INR 53 LPA, INR 30 LPA, INR 37 LPA and INR 18.33 LPA. The average salary for CSE, AIML, EEE, ECE, ME branches stood at INR 19.73 LPA, INR 17.29 LPA, INR 12.45 LPA, INR 16.47 LPA, and INR 9.22 LPA. Furthermore, 166 CSE stiudents were placed and 190 offers were made to the CSE students. The number of offers made to the AIML branch students was 63 and number of students placed was 54.

General admission policy of RV College of Engineering is based on entrance tests. Direct admissions are not commonly accepted. R V College of Engineering accepts COMEDK scores for admission to the BE/ BTech courses. As per the COMEDK Round 2 cutoff, the ranked ranged between 328 and 15050 wherein BE in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation for the General AI category students. So, considering the 2024 cutoff candiates must secure a rank up to 15050 to secure a seat at R V College of Engineering for BE/ BTech admission.

RVCE, Bangalore accepts scores of state level and national level entrance examinations for admission into the offered courses. For PG courses like MTech, the institute accepts GATE scores. In case of entrance exams in BTech such as CET, COMEDK JEE Main and KEA are taken into account.
