Absolutely dissatisfied because of infrastructure.
Placements: 70% of students were placed in our course. I'm from civil engineering, and we don't know about the package for civil. We don't know about top recruiting companies. We are 1st-semester students and don't have an idea about internships in which companies. Sorry for this.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, and the infrastructure is average as we thought before. Classrooms, labs, and the library are good. Wi-Fi is slow. In the hostel, facilities are good, and food is also good, but in the morning, it's very bad. We don't know why it is like this. We play all sports and games on the same ground, including cricket, kabaddi, football, volleyball, kho-kho, hockey, throwball, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, as we thought. They explain concepts easily and understandably. Semester exams are a little difficult because the semester-end exams contain five chapters, which makes it hard to study seven subjects. But our college faculty members are ready to explain our doubts.
Other: Because I am interested in construction, and nowadays, software is common.

Honest Review of RV College of Engineering.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students were placed in my college in my course. 16 LPA is the highest, 4 LPA is the lowest, and 7 LPA is the average package offered in my course. Satva, Shobha, L&T, JSW, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Around 60-70% of students get internships in the above-mentioned companies. A structural designer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: The department's infrastructure is good. The college has a private Wi-Fi facility; they provide a username and password for Wi-Fi for security purposes. The Civil department has four CAED labs with sufficient systems, one SOM lab, one Geo Technology lab, one Highway lab, one Concrete Technology lab, and some separate rooms for survey equipment. The quality of food is average; morning snacks are good, but lunch and dinner are average. Three canteens are there in the college, and the college also has medical facilities. The college supports sports and games but does not have a proper ground. All vehicles are parked on the ground.
Faculty: All faculty members are M.Tech graduates and have sufficient knowledge. All are supportive. Yes, this course makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are very hard and strict. If they catch you cheating, they call a parent-teacher meeting and fail the student in that subject.
Other: I chose this course because it is evergreen and offers a lot of opportunities in government jobs. It is better to focus on field learning rather than sitting in a room and assuming. There is one big event every year and many minor events in a year. For example, 8th Mile and E-Summit are the fests. The college has a lot of crowds, as RVCE, RVU, and RVCEM are present on the same campus.

Best college for CS branch students.
Placements: I am from Civil branch, where placement rate is the lowest, but in our college, the placement rate for civil is around 45% and for other IT branches like CS, IT, ET, etc. They have a high placement rate of around 90–95%. Companies like JSW, L&T, Shobha Construction, etc. For IT branches, Phonepe, Paytm, Amazon, Atkins, Congnizent, Oracle, and many more come to recruit. Roles are GET (graduate engineer trainee), graduate programme manager, developed, etc. The highest package is INR 54 lacs for the CS branch, the lowest is INR 4.5 lacs, and the average package is INR 8 lacs. Students go on their own for any internship purpose, or else for which company they get selected, that company will provide them with an internship.
Infrastructure: The department was recently constructed so it is good. The labs here have all the proper instruments, and every lab contains one instructor. Maintenance on machines is done annually. Wi-Fi facility is not that good but it is okay with limited connections. All classrooms contain one smart board where presentations can be done easily. The campus is always good.
Faculty: The faculty here are all free to help at any time. They always give first preference and give motivation to help them build their future. All faculty members have specializations in their own field (PhD). Here, mainly, they focus on academics, which is not that good. They have no industrial experience but they conduct workshops in college to gain exposure to industry.
Other: My branch is Evergreen, and I want work that is on site; I don't want to work on systems. That's why I chose this branch.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: It is one of the top 3 engineering colleges in India in terms of placements. After the BITS Pilani, our college has the best placement rate in India, especially in computer-related branches like CSE, data, AIML, and ISE. The average salary package offered in 2023 was above 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college lacks its infrastructure and campus size. It is trying hard to upgrade its infrastructure by developing every branch along with its promising project, which gives a new shape to the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are the best in Bangalore compared to other private colleges like Ramiah and BMS. It has dedicated departments for M.Tech and B.Tech, like the government NIT and IIT. The course curriculum is a bit hectic. It conducts 3 CIAs in one semester.

It is a good engineering college in Karnataka.
Placements: A lot of top companies have tie-ups with our college. Top recruiting companies like Tata, Benz, etc., visit our campus. Software companies hire a lot of students. Our civil engineering course has less recruitment because only construction companies will hire.
Infrastructure: Separate hostel facilities are available for girls and boys. Hostels are divided into those for first-year students and those for final-year students. A playground is available. Tennis courts, football fields, and other game facilities are available.
Faculty: The syllabus is purely based on the current market requirements that the market needs at a two-year interval. As the industry demands top teachers, exams are strict. The syllabus has been amended to meet needs.
Other: At regular intervals of two years, the 8th Mile Fest will be held for three days and is one of the largest festivals in the RVCE. Annada Habba will also be celebrated. If we achieve a high CET rank, we get admission.

Join IT course because it has good placements.
Placements: The placements for other branches are very good but for civil Engineering they are too bad. Packages for civil engineering were also very less compared to other branches. The top recruiters were JSW and Reliance. No core companies visit here. Around 5 companies visited the college in core.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. There are buildings for every branch. There is a well maintained hostel and it is very good. Medical facilities are good and food in the canteen is expensive. Sports and games facilities are also very good.
Faculty: The teaching is good but the syllabus is not updated to the current requirements of the industry. The course is not relevant and it does not make students industry ready. Semester exams are easy to pass and they are very tough to score in. Pass percentage is about 80.

Absolutely disappointed because of placements.
Placements: Specialisation decides Placements. 80-90% IT students are placed and non-IT's placement rate is about 10% or even less. I would recommend going for IT courses not for non-IT field. I think this is due to pandemic. I hope they will sort out this. Placements are based on stream.
Infrastructure: Nice infrastructure but needs to be improved. Wi-Fi and laboratories are good, but they need to be improved as well. Classrooms are nice and now they are renovating the library. They give less importance to sports. Everything will be based on your interest, if you want, you can participate.
Faculty: All faculties are specialised in their respective fields. They know a lot of things as well as they have field experience. They are friendly. They teach you very well. They will easily clarify your doubts. They give importance to practical knowledge.
Other: I joined RV because of placements. After joining, I realized that for our stream (civil), there is no such good opportunities when it comes to placements.

I am satisfied with faculty members and great placements in the 2018 batch.
Placements: Last year, about 30% of students were placed. The highest salary package was around 13.5 LPA, which was given by ZS Associates. Airbus also gave a salary package of around 10 LPA. Core companies were lower last year. Internships are very limited by the college and you have to do them on your own.
Infrastructure: A department library and one college library are there. Hostel life is good. North Indian food is not there. South Indian food is mostly there and one can survive on that only. You have to order online many times. There is a Domino's just in front of the college. You can eat there.
Faculty: All faculty members are well-educated, and there are always some expectations, but the rest is fine. The curriculum is a little bit strict and we have practicals as well. Various workshops are organised by the college to get practical knowledge. Exams are at a normal level, neither hard nor easy. Teaching quality is also fine.
Other: I was interested in civil engineering as my father is also a civil engineer. Since childhood, I have seen him do projects, and it's another level of feeling when they're completed. He proudly says that he made this building or this cinema hall. So I want to build things.
